The Macca Thread - For Everything Macca Related

Thanks darling.

Anybody wanting to get my thoughts on anything wrestling related, or just wanting to catch the breeze with ya boy, hit me up here.

What's up, Macca?

Not much Dave, just got up from my bed. Actually got this chick skipping school just so we can have some quality time here at my HQ. It's like fast food, but instead it's pussy.

How thoughtful is she? I might actually let this one have a shower and then tell her I'll call her before I throw her out on her ear and never talk to her again.

So Macca, what are you diggin' on lately (wrestling-wise)?

I've been on a bit of an old school PWG and Chikara kick lately, cycling through the 2003 PWG shows and I've got a few 2002 Chikara shows lined up. Watching a pretty awesome match between Super Dragon and Joey Ryan right now, I maintain that Excalibur is the greatest working commentator in the game today, you could throw out the greenest most untalented bunch of no-talent indy flip artists and it would still be insanely entertaining just because of Excalibur's commentary.

Can't wait to see this year's BOLA, Bryan Alvarez was raving about a Chris Hero-Akira Tozawa match that a bunch of people are calling a match of the year candidate. Too bad it'll be months before they release the BOLA DVDs though. :(

I do like me some PWG, CHIKARA not so much. There's something about Quackenbush that just gets under my skin. Just watched a decent one with Kenny Omega vs. Bryan Danielson, some really decent stuff.

By the way, have you had a chance to watch the Omega-Ibushi hardcore match from DDT? It's what I call a bit of class.

I do quite like Hero, his time in Japan made him a new man by the looks of it, and the KOW has been fun to watch. I do wonder though if he's ever gonna get picked up by a major company. Regardless, I will be looking to see how he performs. Is this the same BOLA that features Daniels?

Other then that, just a mix of New Japan, Dragon Gate, and any Indy matches with some names I recognize. I think I have a stalker problem, cause I just can't get enough of some Alex Shelley. He really is something different from the typical American cruiserweight. It's like he's still familiar with the high-flying moves, but the Japanese strong style comes first in his reportoire. I really like that. Plus he has the personality to go with it. His vignettes with Nash and Paparazzi Productions are some of the best comedic pieces I've seen wrestling wise.

X, you got anything to recommend off the top of your head?

Dragon Gate is dope, I got two DVD's of their collabo shows with ROH. I keep telling myself to order some DVD's from them. Any you recommend Macca?

Enter The Dragon (bar Scorpion and -urgh- Kenny of the Spirit Squad), Untouchable, and the UK event with Pac.

On a side note, CIMA, Naruki Doi, Masato Yoshiko and BxB Hulk make the company what it is, and should get a lot more credit for being standout athletes in their profession.

I definitely agree on CIMA and BxB Hulk, seen a number of their matches and they're definitely highlights of the shows I've seen them on.

Bro, need to check out some Speed Muscle (Doi and Yashiko), they are great. They had a good match with MCMG on an iMPACT! and then as a part of Team Japan as a part of the World X Cup at Victory Road 08.

I'll check them out. Right now I got an AJPW show on download, followed up by the Dragon Gate Infinity Tag Team League IV.

AJPW, eh? I quite like Kaz Hayashi from there, and some of Kondo's stuff. Is MutaMania still running wild over there these days?

I heard bits and pieces about that tag tourny, is it a must-watch?

I don't think I've ever communicated with Macca in all his times on the forums. I'm sure you're sick of hearing all the welcome backs and all that hoopla. So yeah, have no clue where I'm going with this post. So it's a pleasure to meet you (I think) Sir Macca.

Aye, and you Theo.

Believe it or not, but I'm actually a bigger fan of Theo the person then the beard.

And they, the angry mob, should be making their way here with their torches and forks soon.

How goes it Macca?

Macca, didn't get out of prison, like, 5 minutes ago? And you have your own thread already?

Not too bad over here buddy. Just chilling before I hit the haystack.

By the sig, I take it you reside in Chi-Town. What's it like there? I really want to go to Chicago at some point. Your town has producted greats like C.M Punk, Jane Lynch and Kanye West.

My home town of Kilmarnock, Scotland made Johnnie Walker's. So we're pretty much even, I'd say.

This is the thread he made in the prison. X moved it here.

Hi, Macca!

Sup Doc.

I don't know if you realized this but you recently recieved my first ever rep for your outstanding taste in Anime. Did it feel as good recieving it as I did giving it.

Also, why the argument over how long it would take Alucard to skullfuck Edward Cullen has yet to be presented in popular culture today is mindboggling. It's so obvious.

The Windy City is pretty sweet man. I definitely advise you to stop out here if you ever get the chance. Just like a lot of major cities there is a lot to do, great sites to see, great food to eat. I can tell you specific places if you'd like, but it will have to be when I get home in a little bit.

Touche on the Johnnie Walker. :)

Yes, yes it did.

And seriously. How could that not be raised? The obvious answer is 3.14s
