The Macca Thread - For Everything Macca Related

I thought the same thing, everyone knows Orton has suspect shoulders. That shouldn't be a situation that Randy should be put in.

Why couldn't Barrett use a different finisher, which I have actually thought about and give reasons for the use.

Death Valley Driver or Pump Handle Slam - Easy and stable move that can be used effectively for impact and has always been seen as a legit finisher move. Also positive that it is a low risk move.

Running Boot - At Barrett's height this would be an appropriate finisher to use, because people will know that it can be used on any opponent with a move like this can also be used quickly, effectively and with little to no damage to an opponent.

The Death Valley Driver is most likely not gonna be used, we all know Kane and Undertaker are the only ones that gets to perform piledrivers in the WWE. The Pump Handle Slam could work, but I have a feeling Wade is gonna have a problem setting it up against some of the bigger guys, where as putting someone up on his shoulders like John does isn't as big a deal I would say.

The running boot is way too weak in the general WWE programming to function as a finisher. Especially considering Undertaker is bigger than Wade Barrett, and uses it as a regular move. Wouldn't work too well obviously, also considering Edge uses it as a regular move.

I would say if Wade needs to change his finisher, it needs to be something like a backbreaker perhaps? He could make the slingshot backbreaker that he's been sporting on occasion. Or something like that.

But with the running boot, it can be set up similar to a sweet chin music to where he gathers momentum over a certain distance (ie: Test) making it more believable.

Undertaker gains momentum with his running boot as well.

I'm just convinced Wade needs some kind of slam kind of move.

Could something like a Michinoku Driver or a Spin Buster Slam (Ala Batista but with a sit down) using an opponents momentum against them, making it easier for him.

Who knows. Could also be that WWE never changes the finisher, obviously there's been no reports of problem with him using it yet, with exception of Mark Henry, but that's hardly a loss for WWE I'm sure.

But it's a suspicious move and being a much high risk on the heavier opponents can make him a real liability. Mark Henry is just Mark Henry but whats stopping him from botching it against Kane or The Undertaker. If I were Vince (I know, I know I can only dream right) I'd want that move changed before it does become an issue.

You got a point. However there's obviously nobody seeing a problem with the move in general. So wanting to change it, is definitely not the message WWE is sending as of late. I guess it's because of the brutality behind it and because he has yet to actually botch it (without it being understandable that he couldn't perform it). Then it's obvious it won't be changed, at least not in the nearest future.

Like I said to X, I have very little of an idea how it should actually be performed, but it looks like he performs it pretty decently. Could just be me though.

Another thing against the move is how you have to be able to lift the opponent onto the shoulder, struggle with the weight shift on the shoulders and thrust 250 pounds plus onto their back.

Or in Wade's case he usually turns to face the camera shot to hit the move....... this being really noticeable really takes away from his finish. (but maybe I'm looking into it too much)

........Ummm.....what? The Death Valley Driver is not a piledriver. At all.

A Variant of it. See below.

The FU or AA or whatever Cena is calling it this week is in fact a D.V.D.
Mix it with the RKO and you get the TKO

Bad video, but was the only one I could find.

The one John Cena performs is a Fireman-Carry slam. He slams his opponents, from what I can see in all of the Death Valley Drivers shown in that video you posted first, they're more like a kind of fireman-carry sitout-slam.

Well the DVD is more of a brainbuster-type slam from a fireman's carry

Which once again would kinda make it unusable within the WWE. We all know how their policy on dropping people on their head is. Like I mentioned earlier, Undertaker and Kane are pretty much the only two people that are allowed a finisher that could break a neck if botched just slightly.

But with a bit of a variation, I could see Wade using this type of finisher though.

Although that is a little funny, you do already have a thread posted up in the Cage for you. Your welcome. :) I'm sure they'll get to the name at some point.. Maybe

Hello?! Am I late to the release party ?!:p

One thing-
I'd love it if Wade Barrett had the Muscle Buster.
He would pull it off freakin' well!!

P.S Cheers to Macca!

Doesn't make much sense for this thread to be in the Prison anymore, now does it? Welcome to the Cage lover.
