It's a better than Elite X in my opinion. Simply reverting back to the "Elite Championship" may have been better?
Elite X never made sense for anyone but Triple X.

I always considered "X" as a variable, as in anyone could go for the belt. Openweight sounds like it is saying the same thing, but in a more wordy way. Also, it puts emphasis on weight class, which is something the fed has never bothered with (during my tenure at least). All that being said, it's not the worst name in the world. I have just always been a sucker for tradition.

I see what you mean about the X but for me it always sounded so close to the X-division in TNA.
If I'm being honest, I've wanted to come back for quite some time. It was just about finding the time to do so, but I think I can do it now.

Justin Cooper and Remarkable Mark Keaton defeated Ty Burna and El Caidos Dragon for the tag team titles at Gold Rush in what could be considered one of the greatest upsets ever. Doing so eliminated one of the last tag teams leaving Cooper and Keaton alone at the top. The Beard and ElegANT split up and Men of Mayhem also split up on our way to the titles.
Other stuff happened but its not nearly as important as the above events.

Dr. Zeus and his alliance (collectively called as Trinity) took over WZCW by storm and there was a dark age for a couple of months. Trinity members John Doe and Fallout holding the tag titles and Zeus holding the world title. Frightening! Then Dr. Zeus disappeared.
Titus won the Eurasian Championship by humiliating his opponent and from then holding the title tight by punching everyone in the balls.
