I disagree, I think Vince was negative from the beginning but Stephanie went to bat for Paul E. RVD was selling, the first couple ECW shows after ONS were horrid except for the Paul E and RVD segments. Then it got ok, and they were giving it a chance. Once Paul E walked out after the EC that's when Vince said "Yes now I can shit on it for real", it was just that before that Heyman tried to not let that happen. Tommy Dreamer became the lone voice. The RVD and Big Show screjob was an ok storyline considering the circumstances but RVD never getting the title back ruined it.

The EC was a joke. Heyman said flat out that the thing was going to bomb. His idea was going to be Show taps out in like 3 minutes to Punk and it wound up being Punk vs. Lashley in a 15 minute war. Vince said no way, let's have Lashley win and Punk, who is getting cheered to no end, should go out first while Test and Holly go on longer. The show Heyman wrote was written to get Vince to like it, not what Heyman wanted. The show bombed and Vince said it was all Heyman's fault which was bullshit.
