Come on now JBL WWE Champion again? thats like Floyd “Money” Mayweather becoming the WWE Champion JBL needs to go back to Smackdown and try to get edge out of the picture so he can fight The Undertaker, but yet again he'll lose that match too. All that I'm saying is JBL shouldn't be in the Main event at Backlash. Now we all now that at Wrestlemaina HHH had that match won untill that punk Randy Orton kick HHH in the head but he dosen't pin HHH he pins John Cena when is already KO because of HHH.

JBL seems like the funnest choice to be a champion. And personally if they ever want to do humor angles, then JBL does it better then orton any day. But yeah ill go JBL, and plus he wrestles believably, and probably the best promo guy in the wwe

I am going to stick with Orton for the time being. He's doing an admirable job as champ. Orton's current title reign is what I would have expected a Jake "The Snake" Roberts title reign to look like. I expect to see Orton grab some good feuds with some other faces if a draft occurs.

On the other hand, if Cena wins the belt, I'd see Cena vs Batista being great.

For me, Orton should stay champ while he still has momentum. I would love to see a monster run for Orton as WWE champ. Plus, I don't think JBL's paid enough dues as of yet, coming back from announcer. His fueds with Y2J and Finlay were hardly 5 star.

I voted JBL, but I don't want to see him win it at Backlash. I would like to see JBL somehow aquire the MITB Breifcase, and eventually use it against whomever the Face champion is. JBL right now, just entering the title picture after being injured for years, it shouldn't happen right now. But JBL is leaps and bounds better than Orton, excluding age. JBL is a wrestling god, or at least a Promo God, and probably the most hated man on the WWE roster right now.

JBL isn't hot like John Cena. He's not Young like Randy Orton. Not cool like Edge. Not legendary like Undertaker. Not banging the bosses daughter like HHH. He's got no one claiming he's done anything "good", and thats the reason he's so hated. Hated more than "Cool Edge", hated more than "Hot Orton", hated way more than "Over Rated Cena", JBL is the prime choice for WWE Champion.

I'll agree with you that I certainly don't want another HHH or Cena title reign.

However!

I VEHEMENTLY disagree that JBL should be the next champ. I find him extremely boring in the ring. He's good on the mic but that alone doesn't make good matches. JBL is very overrated in my opinion, and I don't think he should have any more belts to his name outside of a tag team championship.

So even though I'm not a huge fan of Orton, I'm hoping that he retains.

As for an alternative to Orton very soon for the WWE champ? There are a lot of people I'd rather see. Edge, Kennedy, Morrison, MVP, HBK, and Jericho...even though some (Kennedy, Morrison, MVP) aren't necessarily ready for that task...would all be people I'd rather see as champion for a while.

New WWE champ? I'm for it. JBL, HHH, Cena, or CM Punk being the replacement? Hell no. I'd rather even see Umaga as a transitional champ than to sit through months of Cena/HHH/JBL.

If I had a choice I would want to see Orton retain, his title reign shouldn't end, its just getting great, the Orton Era is upon us. JBL would be my second choice though, because it would be a good surprise and he is good on the mic, not too mention Cena needs to go longer without the belt and HHH is just starting to annoy me, I dont want to see him as champion ever again.

I vote Orton, Ive personally never been a fan of his. The only reason he is where he is because short of mcmahon hes the richest person in the WWE and Vince likes that. Otherwise he went from the acolytes to APA to champ...not sure why he dserved it. I agree with Cage917r that he is just starting to look good as champ. I think his promo last with JBL in the lockerroom was great, completely put JBL in his place. If he can keep that confidence with his promos the next couple months should be his as champ. As for someone else for champ, i guess id like to see jericho in the picture for a little while. Just not full tilt with him yet.

JBL winning the title would be the most interesting outcome, but highly unlikely. I wouldn't mind seeing him as champ again, he is decent in the ring for a big guy and has good promo skills, but I wouldn't want him to be champion for 9 months again though.

I voted to continue with the Age of Orton and the only way I can see JBL winning the titile would be to start a one-on-one title fued with Triple H. Even though I voted for Orton to retain, a JBL title reign would be interseting and something unexpected.

JBL is the best heel and the best on the mic out of all of them. He's probably only midcard worth talent in the ring but seen as how good he is out of the ring it would certainly be intresting. Can't see it happening though.

His injury did not put him out of alot of fans minds, WWE wouldn't let that happen. What about a months worths of promo's that he was returning, on comercials, King Booker blabbering on and on about it, fans have not forgotten who he is. A man that wrestled in a WWE Title match at Mania, won the Elimination Chamber, was runner up in the Rumble, has held the WWE Title since his injury even if it was for only 2 hours, has not been put out of fans minds. The reason nobody wants him to be champion is because he is getting boring, we've seen what he's got, and people realize that he is the biggest powerfreak in WWE. That is why nobody wants him or Cena to win, it would be boring. The Orton Era is a breath of fresh air in the WWE, its new and people like it. Some people support JBL because it would not be suspected and be a surprise, not to mention he is a hell of alot more entertaining that HHH as champion.

I missed JBL's first WWE title reign as i took a break from wrestling.
And i would love to see JBl carry the WWE title again, and possibly reform the Cabinet with superstars like Elijah Burke and Shelton Benjamin - its a great way to get these two promising UNDER-RATED and UNDER-USED stars over.
