Yesterday was an adventure.

First I talked to the housing manager because if you haven't heard my roommate was trying to get me to move out so he could be with his brother. I flatly told the manager that I'm refusing to move out because I had this room reserved for a reason and I've been here over a year now.

Then, my work told me that even though I was a nice guy, I wasn't "the cream of the crop" and they needed someone good at all three areas of the job instead of excellence in ticket-taking and decent at concession/sweeps. So I'm now unemployed.

After that, I had an awesome Skype call with my best friend that cheered me up a lot.

And finally, as I tried to fall asleep, my roommate comes in at 4 in the morning and has sex with a girl on his bed. He only lasted about a minute or two, but man at least he's actually having sex with the girls he's bringing back instead of just making pointed comments at them and getting shot down six ways from Sunday like last quarter, eh?
 
The more I hear about problems with university roommates, the more I realise just how lucky I was to share a house with my best friend, his brother and other people I went to school with at uni.
 
To be honest I really don't care about him having sex. It's his side of the room, he can do whatever. I am annoyed at him trying to go behind my back to get me to unwittingly move out. I can't say my roommate experiences have been bad thus far, and this one's fine personality-wise. He's just not very considerate. At all.

I should preface this by saying that roommates were randomly assigned, but I had reserved this room since I had it last year. Well, at the end of last quarter I came back from a weekend at home to find someone sleeping in my bed, and by that time it was too far. I talked to my resident assistant about it, and he said he'd look into it. Over the Christmas holidays he emailed me to say that apparently the roommate was looking into moving out by next quarter anyway. So I get back to college after break and he's still there. That's fine, I say to myself. He wasn't a very considerate person but he wasn't overtly mean. So then he says to me (once he actually wakes up and is in the room) that on Monday we're going to see "some lady" "about the roommate thing".

Anyway on Monday his brother comes to the room since he's out and we go to the housing manager, who apparently is under the impression that I want to move out and switch to the brother's room, so my roommate could be with his brother. This is the first I've heard of that and I flatly tell her that A. I reserved the room, and B. if he's the one who wants to switch, he's the one who's going to have to do the work.

I was told that he wanted to move out, not that they were trying to make me move out. Pisses me off.
 
Damn, Doc, that shit's fucked up.

Tell the roommate to fuck off, and if he wants to room with his brother then he should switch with the brothers roommate.

Also, might I suggest you finding your own roommate for the next school year. That lessens the chances of having roommate issues.

Your roommate is kinda a bitch, I get he wants to be with his brother but this is a shitty way of going about it. First off he should talk to you about instead of going behind your back, secondly if they should see if the brother roommate is willing to switch, assuming they hadn't done that already. Third if they couldn't make that happen then they should just come to the conclusion that perhaps it would be best if instead of stay in dorms they just get an apartment, it sounds like they have plenty of friends I'm sure a few of them would be willingly to get a place with them, & split the rent/bills. Or you know, they could just suck it up, for the semester & just request to be roommates next year.

Doc, I don't know how you are able to deal with this shit sometimes, you're just too damn nice of a guy, Embrace the Hate, Embrace the Hate!!

Yeah, this is some horse shit they feed you so you don't come back & start killing fuckers left & right. Shopko fed the same load of crap like 10 yrs. ago when they let me go right before Christmas. I assume they mostly hired you thinking you get everything down & be ready to help out with the holiday rush. Which it sounds like you were. I'm sure if they are to ever start hiring for the summer rush, & you applied they'd likely bring you back, they just don't need you right now. You shoulda done what a friend of mine in HS did when he got fired from Culvers, as you're walking out of the boss's office, stop turn around, & say "I'll be back" in your best Arnie voice. BTW that friend did come back to Culver... the next night, & he ordered a delicious Bacon Butterburger.

Yeah, she's really helped me out a lot this year. She's the reason I applied for the job in the first place, because she made sure I didn't give up hope when I was feeling really depressed this summer. Love her to bits, and I'm hoping to visit on Spring Break should all go well.

This is pretty much it. Two hours of foreplay and showers and sex talk, and the roommate insisting I was asleep. And then thirty seconds of grunts and squeaks, a fifteen-second pause, and then thirty more seconds at a faster pace. And he's still asleep.
 
Doc, I think next time you should get out of bed while he's doing it. Don't watch them, just get out of bed and sit at your computer or something. Would be rather funny.

Even better, turn your webcam towards his bed and make it look like it's recording (don't have it actually record, as that's really weird).

OH SHIT, I got it. Next time it happens, start talking in your "sleep" during their sexy times.

Oh, and sorry to hear about the job, man. Same shit happened to me, except they hired me as seasonal, so I kinda knew it would be coming. Keep yo head up, there'll be another job.

Exactly. I was the same way. Apparently I wasn't minority-enough to be kept by my employer. Virtually everyone I worked with loved my work and wanted to keep me, but they didn't. That's the way it works with employers.

I loved that shit on Monday, and the interview was even better. There's a reason everyone was so hyped about him. He's got it all, great look, good in-ring, pretty good promo's.
