The Doctor's Office

Yeah, the art is flawless and awesome. I'm just saying that the plot really should have been simplified a bit. Good movie that could have been great.

I'm thinking we do one group on the 28th, the other group on the 30th. Maybe we can even stretch them out and release 8 each day from the 28th-31st.

The first one sounds good. I was just thinking we need to bump the thread, but I only really want to do that if there's new info to be revealed.

Still a big negativo on that one dude. We don't want to give you all too much time to mull it over. We're looking for a big pop all at once.

Mick Foley is an absolutely awesome person.

He just signed my Have a Nice Day. Now I'm waiting for him to start his standup routine.

Lucky! Foley is my absolute favorite wrestler of all the times, I wish I could be there meeting him and seeing his routine with you.

We did random seeds and draws. I will let you know that both of those men will have tough first round opponents, because of how the draw went.

Seriously, there are some fantastic first round matchups. Cannot wait.

(Also, obligatory Scott Pilgrim plug. Just watched it again for the first time in months and it hasn't lost a step since the first time it graced my eyes in a theater.)

I am lucky.

Foley was hysterical. The undercard talent was even funnier (as expected, since they are all much more experienced standup acts). Mick signed my Have a Nice Day before the show (I was there early, and he signed for the people who were there when he got there), then after the show he sat in the bar area of the establishment (which held a few hundred), and spoke to (for a couple minutes each) every single person/group that wanted to speak to him (as did the undercard, which included Judah Friedlander).

Oh, and this whole thing cost 12 bucks (plus 2 drinks I was buying anyway), and the proceeds were all going to charity. All in all, I'd say it's worth it.

Finally, the event was actually professionally recorded, and he's putting it on the interwebs apparently. So you do get to see the show (at least parts of it, edited).

Oh my god, I'm marking out hard. I RP a character on Twitter, and I followed the actor who portrayed the character in a film, and he actually commented on it on Twitter, saying "[character name] is now following me on Twitter. #meta".

I'm all giddy and bouncing.

(I'm not saying the character name, to keep kayfabe)

How did you sort out the matchups? I hope Batboy and Wolverine get eliminated in the first round.

Doc's assessment of them having "tough" first round matches could either be dead on or a massive fucking understatement. I think we will see some of the best debates in either man's matches based on who their opponents are.

And one of those match ups will be announced on Sunday!

So I was listening to the Doug Loves Movies podcast at work tonight, & Nick Swardson told a story about going to see Rise Of The Planet Of The Apes. I guess when he went to the theater some lady came out to the ticket counter & said she wanted her money back. The guy said "Well you just sat through the whole movie so I don't think I can do that, but can I ask why you want your money back?" Bitch says "Well because, NO ONE TOLD ME THE PEOPLE WERE GOING TO BE MEAN TO THE APES!!". Nick Swardsons reaction was "bitch there are like 5 other planet of the apes movies & in all of them it's people fighting apes, are you fucking ******ed?"

:lmao:

I can't wait for the day when Doc can come in here & share stories like that with us, I gotta beleive their are some stupid movie goers where he works.

I don't quite have any like that, but I have served people who were DRUNK AS FUCK and loud and wouldn't go to the damn movie or even order anything, and once I served a lady nachos, a hot dog, corn dog nuggets, a large popcorn...and a small Diet Coke. Oh and once I served a guy who looked and talked EXACTLY like Chris Benoit.

Maybe I'll have a story tomorrow.
