The Doctor's Office

WWF No Mercy is a fun, fun game, even just for watching. The CAW mode is amazing! It's so simple, yet it can make incredibly accurate CAWs.

No wonder it's widely regarded as one of the best wrestling games ever. I've barely even played it, just watched matches and made CAWs, and it's great.
No Mercy is a fun game. However, playing it back, the game played just so damn slow for me. It is an awesome game though.

And what arena is that? It looks weird, and nothing like No Mercy stuff (I think).

What's new, Doc?

That's the Armageddon Arena. It may look weird because of the graphics plugin I'm using with the emulator.

ah ok, you're playing it using less then legal nefarious means.

yeah, the arena's all messed up looking. almost silvery-white posts, turnbuckles, barriers, and mats outside (they are all supposed to be black)

It looks pretty neat actually, just not what it looked like on the actual game, which threw me off.

Scott Stanford is the man. He tweeted that during his sports report on the news he'd call Yankees 2nd baseman Robinson Cano's Home Run by saying "Woo Woo Woo you Cano It," and sure enough, he did.

Scott Stanford should be the lead play by play man on RAW, or Smackdown, or even NXT. He's light years better then Todd Grisham, and he's better then Josh Matthews, and even better then JR.

Scott Stanford is actually awesome. It's always cool to see him usually during the commerical breaks when watching Raw on the Score.

Doc do you know how to do 8-bit animation?
Sadly not. :( I wish I did though.

:lmao: AWESOME

...watch it, nobody is better than Good Ol' JR he's the gold standard when it comes to announcers in wrestling:suspic:

I'll say that Stanford is better than current JR, but he's not better than classic JR. JR is training Stanford, which is awesome. Stanford just has a great sportscaster voice which would gel perfectly with Booker or King's excitement and provide two perspectives on one issue.

I know, man. Watching Scott Stanford doing the sports reports on the news is incredible. His website has some of his best of like moments from various sports reports, and it's hysterical.

Doc hit the nail on the head. Classic JR is nearly impossible to top, and a guy new to it won't ever attain that level. Current JR is a few steps below classic JR. Stanford is easily better then that.

And the whole great sportscaster voice is right on. It gives a sorta legitimacy to the shows commentary, having a guy that just sounds like he belongs doing PBP.

I haven't even started my RP, I spent the last two days watching Freaks and Geeks and random movies with my girlfriend when she's here and watching Naruto Shippuden when she's not lol.

Oh and I enjoy some Scott Stanford myself, he usually does pretty good on Superstars and I liked his little rap in Ryder's youtube thingy. He at least has more personality than Matthews and Grisham, has a real professional sounding voice too. Wouldn't say he's better than Lawler, JR or Cole yet though, but that's just nostalgic preference most likely.

Yeah, I have an idea in my head of what I want to do, but nothing really done at all. I've been procrastinating and procrastinating. First the No Mercy CAW and now the Twitter...

So I was checking my e-mail and noticed that Doug Benson had sent me a Direct Message telling me that he'll be doing a show in my town sometime this fall!! I fucking love twitter

Twitter is indeed awesome. Also, half an hour ago I remembered I had homework to do that was due ten minutes ago. I rushed through it all in five minutes and got a 95%. Score.

I'm looking for a good Twitter name and Muffin Top Merkley is one letter too long (damn 'y')

Any suggestions from the Merkaholics?

Merkaholic is a good one. Or MTMerkley? MerkFoley?

I've been spending all day making up stupid wrestling gimmicks I'd actually love to see for the sheer WTF factor.

For example, Daniel Bryan should change his entrance music to the first Pokemon entrance theme but with lyrics about Submission Wrestling. And then he and Gail should be a couple with a Masochism Tango gimmick, always doing submissions on each other and then making out. And Derrick Bateman is their whipping boy.

Also, Tyler Reks as a gay hairdresser. His finisher is to grab someone in a sleeper and then style their hair.

Oh and Tyson Kidd as a dancing fireman. His pre-debut vignettes would feature him dancing through burning buildings and his entrance would involve a firepole. I can hear JR now - "BAH GAWD, TYSON KIDD WITH THE FIRE TRUCK, HE'S GIVING MICHAEL COLE A WATER BATH, BAH GAWD"

Give HHH a Tron gimmick, "It's time to play the Games!". He can use a Surfboard Stretch thing for a submission and call it the Light Cycle. And come out to Daft Punk and riding a motorcycle with lights on it.
