I was just asking so I could spark some more discussion. I think Watson could be good as a charismatic and intellectual black man. He certainly has the charisma for it and as displayed by his more serious promos, has the voice for it too.

Maybe he could, but lets be honest, which would you rather see? I would rather see the Percy Watson we have right now.

OH YEAH!

Then yes Doc, I think he could. like you say, he's got the charisma for it and at the end of the day, that's all that matters.

I totally agree, Stormtrooper. Watson is hilarious and I actually see him going far. I know he's funny but not all funny people are comedy jobbers.

OK, was Sheamus' shocking display of acrobatics treated like a big event? Was the spot an important one in the match? Did it add anything to the match? If not then yes, it was unnecesarry and pointless.

If the answer is no (and it probably is), that's what I mean when I say he was shit. Call him green, call him shit, call him green babyshit but the effect is the same. You've got a wrestler who can do these insane feats of agility but doesn't know how to do them effectively.

I do not see the problem with someone like Sheamus, particularly in his younger days, pulling out a big, flashy move like that if it gets him noticed. It certainly added something to the match as I have never seen him do it before and I will remember it.

As for its importance in the match, it was being put over as a tough contest for both men as neither Sheamus nor D'Lo could get the decisive advantage with both were pulling out the big guns. D'Lo hit Sky High and Sheamus hit a couple of his trademarks before unleashing the high risk top rope flippy. It changed the momentum of the contest and was called as such by the announcers - Sheamus having to pull out all the stops to retain his title.

What I will concede is that in the end it did not help Sheamus retain as outside interference straight after the spiringboard neckbreaker cost him the match and the title. So while it was impressive and fitting for the story being told in the match, yes maybe it was poor timing.

My issure regarding timing was more like 'Taker jumping over the top rope once a year at Wrestlemania. and was this interferance Stu Sanders and Drew Galloway?

No, this was about 8 months before the feud between Sheamus and McIntyre's Foreign Legion really kicked off. The interference was by Darren Burridge, the guy that Sheamus beat to become the inaugural IWW Champion.

I hear New Jack made an appearance. This is 2010, and fucking New Jack was just on PPV.

Those boys got their reunion show, got their paychecks, and got TNA to say dumb shit like that this was Tenay's first time announcing an ECW event. Wow.

Not just New Jack, but THE GANGSTAS!

All night I had to keep telling myself "RAW tomorrow...Summerslam next week...RAW tomorrow...Summerslam next week..."

I just had to see if it was as bad as you made it sound. I should have listened to you and just left it be. Why did I watch that? What has been seen....cannot be unseen.

You know me. I'm a pretty fair guy. I like to see the positives in wrestling.

The positives in that were that it made TNA money and ECW fans liked it. No one else did, but ECW fans I'm sure did.

Horrible PPV except for the last two matches, but I was so put off and burnt out by the first few hours that the last two couldn't draw me in.

I don't know, Doc, you really think that PPV made any money? I realize they probably had to pay their "talent" next to nothing to appear on the show, but I imagine their buy rate for this PPV will be atrocious.

And ECW fans liked it? I would think true ECW fans would have been repulsed by this show, which was hyped to be a tribute to the original ECW, but was, in actuality, a disgrace to it.

The only positive here is, thankfully, it was a one-off situation and now its mercifully over.

I want to think that they made no money and that ECW fans were repulsed, but the sad thing is they probably weren't, and they probably bought it. nostalgia is a powerful thing, especially when presented with something as horrendous as that show.

The world isn't perfect.

Doc, watching episodes of Rockman.exe Axess was 10 times better then that abomination of a Total Nonstop Atrocious Extremely Crappy Wrestling knockoff PPV.

Lulz, wow.

Also, I finally got the opening promo/match for SCW 2 done. I hope I can stay focused tomorrow and get the rest of it done quickly.

and Stormtrooper, I don't doubt it was. I wish I had switched it to something entertaining...like Bash at the Beach 2000.
