The Doctor's Office

I loved the ending of the ppv. I'm glad I decided to watch tonight. I skipped the divas match, missed the first match because I was looking for a stream, and that's really it. The only match from the ones I watch that I wasn't into was R-Truth vs. The Miz.

The only problem I had with the main event was that I found it boring every time Sheamus was in control...other than that I have no complaints.

Vince came out, said that Bret wouldn't be appearing, and he introduced Drew McIntyre and left in a limo.

Teddy Long was sitting at ringside for the quite good Kofi/McIntyre match. The ref got knocked out so McIntyre tried to get Long to make the count, who refused. Kofi beat McIntyre and Long did the count.

Evan Bourne beat Jericho clean after a great Jericho promo and match.

Alicia Fox won the Diva's Championship. Odd decision, but a decent women's match.

Hart Dynasty beat the Uso's.

Rey Mysterio won the WHC after interference by Kane, who tried to stuff Punk into a casket. Jason is a huge Mysterio fan so he was marking out hard and I was too because it was so unexpected.

Miz beat R-Truth.

Sheamus won the WWE Championship after interference by the NXT rookies.

I think that's everything.

Sheamus didn't really "win" it. The rookies laid out Cena (Laid Cena out?), he hopped on him and got the 3 count, and booked it through the crowd.

1. Last time I checked, Sheamus won that match, and the Toitle. He followed all the rules in the match, pinned a downed opponent, and the ref counted to three. That's as legit a win as can be.
2. That ref has balls, all the non-wrestlers booked it when the NXTers came to ringside, but the only non-wrestler to stay was the REF. And he didn't even get his ass kicked. He just did his job and the NXT guys forgot about him.

Oh, and Doc, now all the Sheamus images need to also have the Dobya Dobya Eaa Toitle in them too.

Yeah, but it's the second time where he didn't win the WWE strap without iffy means. I wish he'd laid the final blow on Cena at least.

The crowd was AWESOME. The PPV began and ended with chants of "DANIEL BRYAN *clap clap clap clap clap*"

I'm very happy with every win except Miz and Alicia Fox.

So Doc, do you think that the NXT storyline was progressed tonight, or not?

Glad to read that you enjoyed the PPV.

I think it was progressed a little. Not as much as I had hoped, but it opens the possibility of something happening tonight. Maybe Vince will appoint a new GM and the Nexus will attack Vince or something.

Even if the Nexus story wasn't as big a focus as I had hoped, they did help Sheamus win the title and they seem to have an actual vendetta against Cena now. Maybe they could say it's because he defended Danielson on Twitter. That would be awesome.

I'd have booked the ending a bit differently. I'd have had a finisherfest. Edge spears Cena, goes for another on Orton, who hits an RKO on Edge (who rolls out of the ring to avoid a pin), but promptly gets pump kicked in the head by Sheamus (and like Edge rolls out of the ring). Cena is slowly getting up from the spear with Sheamus getting ready to finish Cena. Barrett jumps the barricade and hits a running big boot on Sheamus (who rolls out of the ring), decks the ref and spinebusters Cena and hits him repeatedly in the face whilst mounted. at this point the other rookies have jumped the barricade and attack the other competitors 2 on 1 until they go down (and stay there).

Barrett is given a microphone who says that while he doesn't have a contract, Bret never revoked his title shot at a PPV of his choosing. He chooses to challenge for the WWE championship at fatal fourway. One of the rookies puts on the KOed ref's jacket who instructs another rookie to ring the bell (as the timekeeper, along with everybody not holding a camera has run the fuck away). Barrett hits his finisher for the 1-2-3, gets the belt put on him by one of the rookies (UFC style) and poses with the title as the PPV ends. On Monday he can destroy the belt in favor of one of 'his own design'.

:( :( :( :( That would have been SO AWESOME!!!

Or if they were shown to have kidnapped McMahon and forced him to hire them.

.... Dude, that's actually a great idea, man.

Or, perhaps, McMahon could play the higher power, once again. Make NXT a cult, and McMahon the higher power.

They were all hired by Ted DiBiase. ;) Or they could have a Cult vs. Cult feud with the SES.

Actually, I just thought of something. Vince was shown driving off in a limo.

What was Bret stuffed into and then thrown around in? A limo.

Maybe tonight we'll find out that either Vince was the driver or the Nexus did something off the air...

TENTA

Ray Allen :(

I know, man... I know :disappointed:

Eh, I kinda saw it coming. When I saw everyone stoked for Boston being up 3-2, I was the one that said, "Be patient. The Lakers still have size and home court. The Lakers can still pull this off"...

It sucks being right.

Doc, I love the idea. Now, at least, Michael Tarver and Virgil can fight in a "Virgil VS. Virgil" match

As soon as Perk went down in Game 6 I knew the Celts were fucked. They got out rebounded like crazy

Hahaha. I actually like Tarver, and think he's the best candidate to fill Bryan's main event spot, with Bryan coming back to take out The Nexus. Are you going to be in the LD tonight, Tents?
