The 2011 Academy Awards LD Is Living Under A Rock On 2/26/11

I'm not too sure. I think Adams and Leo we're on the same level when it comes to quality of performance. Also, Steinfeld was able to stand out in a film which featured to big name actors(Matt Damon and Jeff Bridges). That has to count for something.
I'd say her standing out has more to do with how the character was written. I'm in no way saying her performance was bad. It was good and she shows potential, but Leo's was just a few notches above.

Well, as expected, the Best Picture will come down to The King's Speech and The Social Network. Whoever wins best Screenplay pretty much always wins Best Picture.

I still haven't seen Toy Story 2.

Don't know why, either. I fucking loved the first one when I was a kid.

I have to watch both films again before I see 3. I sort of remember Toy Story 2, but I have completely forgotten about the first film, because I can't remember the last time I watched it.

The Social Network wins Best Adapted Screenplay. Not too surprised.

The King's Speech? Best Original Screenplay? Now that one is surprising for me.

From what I've heard, odds are it's King's Speech. Fincher will win for director. Aronofsky will go another year without being properly recognized.

I can't imagine The King's Speech really being that great.

I've seen one movie on stuttering (Rocket Science), and I thought it was horrible.

Wow... that was pretty good.

That song reminds me of a great episode from Dawson's Creek, too, lol.

Oh great, here comes that talentless hack Russell Brand to bring the show down.

I watched the Town the other day; Jeremy Renner was good in it, but I didn't think he deserved this nomination.

Christian Bale should win this. Please, please don't give it to Rush.

Really? For the longest time it seems I've thought of her, along with Scarlett Johansson, as the most beautiful and talented actress around below the age of 30.

I've always thought Johansson was beautiful. I guess I just never payed too much attention to Hathaway. To me, she was always just that woman who starred in The Princess Diaries films.
