Teddys Big Announcement

So I just finished watching Smackdown, and saw that Teddy Long has a Smackdown altering announcement to make next Friday.

It got me thinking with the lack of top end talent on Smackdown at the moment, Jerishow tied up at the mo, leaving only Punk and Taker, and the news of another "career altering decision" to be made on Raw next week. Do you think we may be seeing The Animal on Smackdown.

I know allot of people think his decision maybe that he is retiring due to his injuries, but TBH I just don't see it.

If we did see him move to Smackdown, would you be happy to see him back, annoyed he isn't gonna continue his feud with Orton, pissed to see him not hang up his boots full stop?

I'm not a massive Batista fan, but he could add a new dimension to the Smackdown main event scene. Other than Taker there aren't many big guys on SD, so after hopefully a good number of months feuding with Taker, punk can drop the belt leaving it open for a Batista Taker feud.

Or maybe even team him back up with Ray to take on Jerishow.

I like it actually. I wasn't very happy when Batista was drafted to Raw in 2008, so I would love a return to Smackdown. But I don't exactly know the likelihood of too big announcements on the same week will co-exist. I'm not saying it won't happen, but it's not too likely.

Batista is very injury-prone, so a retirement wouldn't surprise me much. However, I and I'm sure him also can agree that he can still go for a couple more years, as long as he could avoid injury.

I haven't read the Smackdown spoilers, so I can't say much more. But, I can say maybe Theodore Long might make an announcement that he doesn't want to risk his relationship with Vince McMahon and resign as Smackdown GM. With with the "on-probation" shit and whatnot. This could lead to Batista coming to Smackdown as the GM. Just saying!

Batista back? That would make zero sense at all. For starters you have two guys enrolled in a great feud. Undertaker vs Punk, what could possibly be wrong with this? and second arent there already monsters on Smackdown? besides Batista would have no meaning in the heavyweight scene, and since the guy draws money they wouldnt put him in a midcard feud with Morrison or something unless they have nothing going on for him at Raw. I do however like you Batista/Mysterio vs Jerishow idea. It could bring back some life in the TTD and add more viewers into that horrible network.

I would hope the with Batista and Teddy Long having announcements in the same week that it will end up with the Animal moving to Smackdown. At the moment there really isn't a spot for him on RAW. I don't know if Smackdown has anyone for him to fued with since Morrison is the IC Champ and Kane has been reduced to nothing fueding with the Great Kali, maybe when Rey Mysterio comes back they will have a confrontation to set up something for Survivor Series with Batista/Punk/Undertaker. And actually if they were to take the Tag Titles off of Show & Jericho you could mix Jericho in, but I really don't think that will happen.

If his announcement isn't Batista then I have no idea what it could be. Maybe his retirement? But I doubt it.

On a side note I wish Smackdown would be on a different channel other than MyNetwork TV. I don't get it in my area.

I don't think Teddy is going to announce that Batista is going to go to Smackdown if Batisat announces that he's leaving Raw this Monday, then it wouldn't be an announcement, it would be stating the obvious. It wouldn't make any since that two big announces in the same week were going to be the same.
I'm hoping that he's gonna announce a King of the Ring tournament. I just don't believe its gonna involve an idividual superstar besides himself. But I just really doubt that Teddy's big news will involve Batista.

Now that I've actually watched Smackdown. I kinda have a feeling that Theodore Long might be announcing that we will have a special 10th Anniversary special of Smackdown. I mean, Vince McMahon has been heckling Theodore Long for months now, and if he announces that we will have a special 10th Anniversary Smackdown involving all 3 brands, it might impress Vince. Although, it wouldn't happen for another 3 weeks or so. So, that might not make sense. We'll just have to wait and see.

What if he anounces he just signed 2 of the newests superstars in the WWE and then have Bryan Dainelson and Nigel Mcgiuness come out but it's only idea who knows what T-Lo has in store for next week

perhaps his big announcement is involving punk and undertaker and the hell in a cell ppv approaching? punk and taker dont have an indepth feud worth a HIAC as of yet, but to get it on the car they have the cop out of teddy is on probation and trying to make a big time match

It's definately a possibility but I hope it's not the case. I'd hate to see another Punk/Batista feud like the dismal one we saw last year. I mean, Batista needs to constantly be in the world title scene and Punk has great momentum right now and should stay world champ or at least in the chase scene but it's better with Taker and NOT with Batista.

I do however like your idea of having him tag with Rey to go against JeriShow and have an extended feud instead of the thrown together match's we're getting from JeriShow right now.

We'll have to wait and see, this week's episodes of both Raw and Smackdown should be interesting to say the least.

After T-Lo's heel turn it could be that it was his idea to have Vickie band Hell's Gate from smackdown and at the hell in a cell if Undertaker uses it he will be fired!!! which will prompt what could be Taker coming out in a bandana sunglasses and ripped jeans and cut a promo like he did in the Big Evil days and threaten Teddy & Punk that in the Devil's Playground ( HIAC) no one ever escapes and then start kicking teddy's punk's and who ever else's ass who wants to mess with him

What could Teddy’s big announcement be? I have a feeling as though I might be disappointed by this announcement or that it might not be as big as they are claiming it is. I don’t know, it’s just a feeling I have.

My best guess would be that he is going to explain his actions at the Breaking Point pay per view and set up an Undertaker vs. CM Punk rematch at Hell in a Cell inside the Cell. I don’t think that they are going to end their feud right now or any time soon so that’s the first thing that comes to mind.

Another thing I was thinking about and I think it’s very unlikely, but I guess there’s still a possibility of it happening. We know that the whole guest host thing on Raw has been going on for how many weeks now? Well…what if Teddy’s announcement is that he is leaving Smackdown and going to Raw to be their GM? I guess it could happen but I doubt it because the guest host thing seems to be working and now that NFL is starting, they are probably going to do anything to keep the ratings up as high as possible. It probably won’t happen, but you never know what Vince is thinking and what he wants to do.

Those are the only two things that come to mind, but like I said, I just have a feeling that the announcement isn’t going to be as big as the claim it is.
