SummerSlam Live Discussion

Kevin Nash just made Del Rio look like a very weak champion.

Yeah, yet Edge has down the same thing twice & he was considered the greatest thing ever to hit wrestling, whatever bro:rolleyes:

Not all that wild about it personally. It's been an absolute age since I found myself invested enough in a WWE title program to the point where I'd actually consider purchasing one of their PPVs. Kind of feel like the rug has just been pulled out from under the one interesting thing on the program.

Keven Nash randomly turning up is of course awesome, but Money in the Bank has been so overdone these past few years that I now absolutely loath the concept.

THIS!!!^^^^ THIS!!!^^^^ A FUCKING THOUSAND TIMES, THIS^^^^!!!!

So let me get this straight.

People are complaining because a guy that has a lot of money paid off a guy that is famous for constantly saying "it's all about the money" to help him set up a champion for a match where he can cash in at the most opportune time? I know I say there are a lot of illogical things in wrestling, but this makes some of the most sense I can think of in years. Why are there complaints again?

cuz people are stupid

I carn't belive I went from very dissapointed to hugely shocked in the space of 30 seconds

That was fucking crazy and it's 4am over here but i won't be able to sleep i'm still way too buzzed

Hmmmm im calling 2 fatal four ways at NIGHT OF CHAMPIONS

Raw - Del rio, Cena, Punk, Mysterio
Smackdown - Orton, Christian, Sheamus, Henry

RAW - yes
Smackdown - makes no sense. Anything involving Mark Henry and the championship belt is wishful thinking. What I could see though is Henry, Sheamus and either Kane or BigShow.

lmao at all the spammers in the raw forum saying Punk was screwed.

pretty sure Cena had his foot on the rope for that entire pinfall that gave Punk the win.

No he didnt. Del Rio just did exactly what every MITB winner has done. Wait until the current champion cant defend themself in the ring and swoop in for an easy victory.

I understand that and that is exactly what I mean. I can understand the contract can get huge heat for mid-card heels but no one could care for Del Rio. Even more so with the return of Kevin Nash. I am more excited to see Nash, who most likely will only be around for a couple months compared to the WWE champ, who is most likely going to have a 3-5 month reign.

This didn't make Del Rio a main-event player, he was simply there to gain more heat for Nash.

And already the n00bs of WrestleZone Forums have began to litter the boards with countless threads revolving around the same topics.

People have been saying this for months. Just wait until he starts cutting promos as champion.

It's the IWC, and one of their favorites. Rarely do those two factors equal common sense.

This Punk/Cena match was a very good sequel to last month's and played off of it very well, but I think it was just lacking a certain spark. Randy Savage got the loudest chant of the evening, mind you, which was neat.

I think Christian/Orton V may have been on par.
