Just a few minutes ago, Sheamus put Cena through a table to win the WWE Championship.

What are your thoughts on his win, and your predictions to how his reign will go? Why do you feel that way?

Personally, I believe they will think of something next Monday, but hopefully not, he put on a very good match tonight and him and Cena or him and Kofi could work out to a great feud.

What? They gave that massive twat the title? They took the title off of WWE's top draw and gave it to that useless pile of shite, and I say shite because it's how the Irish say shit. Jesus Christ, I never held that much against HHH, but apparently Mcintyre won as well, meaning that both HHH's buddys got titles.

Problem is they both suck, I hope to god that this isnt true, or they both fail, I feel bad for John Cena, he's the best in the World today and he has to go through this shit. The Rock wouldnt have gone through this shit, he'd have just told HHH to go fuck himself, sometimes I wish Cena were less of a company man

I have mixed feelings about this. I'm glad that there's someone new in the title picture, but at the same time I'm pissed off that someone like Shaemus has won the WWE title already. It took other superstars years to pull that off, and some who deserve it more have never won it. However, this should be interesting how they play it out on Raw.

I'd say it was real. WWE did it's best to make it seem like a botch, but I think the way the table was set too close for Cena to miss it was obvious. Sheamus is more than likely gonna be billed as a monster heel that cannot lose the title until 8-9 months down the line he loses it to a shocking opponent or to Cena.

I can see Sheamus holding the title till royal rumble, but i do not see wrestlemania in the works, No Doubt it was great and the best part was he won fair, No Outside help, no cheap lowblow or anything.
Hope this is lasts. =]

while im not the biggest john cena fan in the world, i mean sheamus? sure when brock lesnar beat the rock, brock lesnar had been absolutely destroying people and looked very believable at doing it. to me sheamus just is not a very believable character. i mean brock lesnars nick name was the next big thing which sounds bad ass. i mean the celtic warrior? come on wwe.

another reason why this sucks is because john cena is really the only face on raw who can face sheamus. there really is no one else so were gona have this feud for the next month which i thought was crap from the beginning. the only logical reason i can see wwe doing this is for them to have a rematch at the january 4th raw. i could see them having john cena winning back the title on that show to try and squash TNA. still think this is a bad idea tho.

I can't fucking believe this....Sheamus is the new WWE champion! I never thought it would happen this quick. I haven't seen the match yet, but I must check it out at some point.

I wonder how long will long will he hold on to the strap, considering the fact it's going to be seven weeks before the Royal Rumble. I'm betting he's going to lose the title back to Cena at some point before then because I don't see him going into such a huge ppv like the Rumble as champ.

Maybe there will be title change on Jan 4? If that's the case, then it won't be Cena winning the belt. Maybe Orton or Kofi. Who knows, there are many different outcomes that can happen.

Smacks of rematch, John Cena defend his WWE championship at Tribute to the Troops, Sheamus will not hold onto it. John Cena is going to have a lengthy reign
I wonder what he is going to do with his piece of table?

i dident see the ppv but was glad when i found out the results. i hope shemus holds it till elamination chamber and looses it to orton or kingston. i want to see new feuds not involving cena. cena is a top draw and does not need a tittle to get him over. turn cena heel and feud with mvp or henry

I was seriously surprised to see Sheamus win. I don't see him holding onto the Title long at all. Part of me thinks he may even lose it before the night is over.

As WTF moments go in WWE, this was a big one. I'm all in favor of giving the World Title to someone new but Sheamus, to me, just isn't a believable World Champion

Exactly...the Tribute to the Troops show airs this coming Saturday. How can Sheamus be the champ, and John Cena be televised defending the title? I know it was pretaped, but that has to mean something

Well the last couple of years the WWE has acknowledge that it was tape.. So they could go that route. Like I said in the earlier post I think this will be just a KANE title reign....

I was so happy when Cena went throught that table, but anyway I don't want Cena to cash in his rematch tonight as alout of rumors have said. I think they should fight tomarrow on Raw for his rematch, and have Cena lose. We could then see new people in the title picture (EX: Orton, Kofi, Legacy etc). I am very excited to see him with the title and hope he has a long title reign because he has the talent and he has the potential. What do you guys think?

This is GREAT! Personally, I like Sheamus. He's different, he's new and he pulled off a decent match. Besides, how many non-US born WWE champions have we had?

I hope Sheamus keeps the belt for a while, because it'll make WWE Raw interesting again. He is a credible monster IMO and he can be used to push the likes of Kofi Kingston. I would even rather see Triple H win the belt again, rather than Cena. Triple H could pull of a decent feud with Sheamus, if they'd only quit the DX crap.

I hope he doesn't lose the belt tomorrow on Raw....that'll be too predictable. Cena has been in the title picture for far too long.

love to see Cena drop the belt to this new up and coming star. bottom line is, WWE knows it needs to do something interesting to keep the smarks out there and the people likely to jump to TNA on Monday the 4th...this move outsmarts people who thinks Cena will keep being pushed as the WWE's golden boy.

Also see this working if the WWE adjusts to the fact Cena was so heavily boo'ed...let Shemus be hailed as the man to beat Cena..let him face the guys like Orton and Cena who have constantly been pushed and be the one to come up and take them down. I could see this being a good story to use for a few months, especially since WWE needs something new

last thing I want to see is a stupid rematch that puts the belt back on Cena..greatest thing would be for Shemus to win the rematch in the same night!!!

Hmmmm, wow what an interesting turn of events. Was a true botch or was it not? Either way, Sheamus is wearing the gold, for how long remains to be seen. Cena could very well walk out of TLC the new champion again, he could win it back on Raw or he could win it at next PPV, or Sheamus could actually hold the title a while. Yeah he's green and hasn't had much WWE exposure yet, and while I don't agree with giving new guys like Sheamus world titles so quickly, this could work out I suppose. I like Sheamus, he is a good athelete and has a workable gimmick. But we will have to wait and see I suppose.

I have to say that my first reaction was the same as most. I couldn't believe my eyes. I do like the fact that WWE has the balls to give the belt to Sheamus, but am upset at the same time.

Sheamus hasn't been around for long and he's already champ. That is kind of irritating knowing what other wrestlers have went through. Look at Shelton for example. He got screwed yet again in my opinion.

This guy obviously is buddies with someone in the back. Now we just have to see if Sheamus is really that guy that will sell out arenas. Right now I'm leaning towards no. At least WWE gave us that big surprise though and for that I'm happy.

One of 3 things will come out of this.....

1. Cena will challenge tonite and win it back or.....
2. Cena will challenge tomorrow and win it back.....
3. They will make the rematch for Jan 4th

now the question is which one is the best for WWE overall...in my opinion i will take door number 3 here. It will just add more viewers wanting to watch raw over tna that night....everyone elses opinions please

the wwe title match was way to early, after the tlc match for tag titles, cena will use rematch clause and win it back, why else would the wwe title match be like the 4th match, think about it.

The third option is out because Cena is the Grand Marshall of one of the football bowl games (I forget which one off the top of my head) and will not be attending RAW on January 4th. I would expect Cena to win it back tomorrow night, if he wins it at all.

Sheamus has a lot of potential, IMO. I have a feeling that he'll end up as a top face though. They could even push him as an Austin-type character, although that'd involve bringing back some elements of the "Attitude" era. I like Sheamus....I don't know what it is about him, but he is something completely new.

I agree with the above who said Cena will use his rematch tonight. Whether or not they do this is completely dependant on the time they give the TLC match. If they put about 15-20 minutes into it they could. However if this match gets more than that then we're either not going to see it, or we'll get a squash.

I was thinking when Cena lost they would have Kofi beat Orton and then challenge Sheamus for it at the rumble. Reason is because, let's be honest, it could be Chavo vs Santino and we'd still order the PPV to see the actual rumble. But when Kofi lost to Orton that went out the window.

So let's see how the TLC plays out. After that we'll see what they do.

This is BULLSHIT!!! Why tha hell would U give this man a title right now WWE, WHAT THA FUCK ARE YALL THINKING??? There are about 5-10 more Superstars that have been in the business way longer than Sheamus has & still havent even got looked at for a World Title shot!!!! Shelton is one of the best wrestlers in the damn company and has been around for at least 6-7 years now & hasnt won anything major, that is BULLSHIT!!!!! In my opinion, Kofi should've won that damn battle royal, NOT SHEMAUS!!!! WWE, I hope yall are ready for the worst ratings that U have ever seen because that is exactly what yall are about to get. I have been EXTREMELY faithful to the WWE since tha attitude era days, even when most of the big name stars left and we were left with a bunch of lame ass superstars, I was still faithful. Im sure there are thousands more like me out there and we are all asking the same question: WWE, Why are U punishing us with everything that we DONT want to see?

Glad Sheamus is the new WWE Champion. RAW main event scene needed someone new and fresh as their World Champion. I hope Sheamus does not become a transitional Champion, and have a 8 month long world title reign. Just hope Cena and Orton do not get the belt back very soon.

Mack Daddy I am sorry to whole heartedly disagree with your critisism of the W, but as it stands as of right now, more people wanna see this no matter who it is. Now on the other hand you are correct in the matter of Sheamus not being deserving, however in the business its who you know, and unfortunately Sheamus is HHH's workout buddy. Now I do like his gimmick and look, its new and unusual to say the least. What better way to make people watch Raw tomorrow, this of coarse will make people wanna see what happens. As for an earlier comment by me on Cena being Grand Marshall on the 2nd I somewhat recant that as it will be a weekend affair, however i still believe Cena can make it to Raw in time to do something. The last thing he will be doin as far as I can tell it the coin toss before the game. Plus WWE can pull him from if they really want to aanyway. I am hoping all o fthis is a ploy for the Jan 4th show to blow TNA's hopes out of the water.
