Saw a Samoa Joe Sucks sign last night should it have been confiscated?

RIP Benoit - Truly One Of The Best
I kept seeing a Samoa Joe Sucks sign last night during RAW mainly in the first hour anyone else notice? i would think they would confiscate that so anyone who doesn't know who he is wouldn't start to wonder & look it up giving TNA some exposure.

Do u guys think any sign having to do with TNA good or bad be confiscated so not to give TNA any kind of exposure or does it really matter.

I think they are being careful, TNA is a potential threat and dont want to give them free publicity. Thats why you havent heard a response from Voodoo Kin Mafia million dollar challenge to DX.

i saw the sign and n a way im thinkin WWE let the fan keep it in a way to fire back at TNA in sum way but may b not who knows or may b it really didnt matter to WWE , they really dont take signs from pple unless its has cuzin in it or sum thing like that

it wasn't removed probably because McMahon doesn't see TNA as a potential threat and that the average WWE fan doesn't care about TNA anyway, so why even worry about one sign...

i saw it front and center, and i was wondering if it was planted there...i know they dont want to acknowledge TNA, but it couldve been a shot anyways, like a way of saying our fans think your top homegrown guy sucks, because that thing was drawn out clearly with thick black letters and was front and center, but then again, maybe just by chance the kid sitting in perfect camera shot really thinks Joe sucks...but i think it was a conspiracy :)

WWE's procedures of confiscating certain signs really seem out of whack to me. At a Raw show, my friend's "KFC SUCKS" sign was confiscated almost immediately after it had been raised. But "Samoa Joe Sucks" is acceptable? So, it's not okay to mention restaurant names on your sign, but you can mention trademarked wrestler's names from rival companies, apparently.

lol yea that one guy is right, TNA is not even a normal im gonna beat you up kinda threat. It cant even beat the show in ratings what would make TNA think its better than WWE

Anyone with a "Samoa Joe Sucks!" sign, doesn't know wrestling if it smacked him right in the face! lol.

maybe he's not interested in plain old wrestling but rather the spiced up version called SPORTS ENTERTAINMENT

I am a political science major, and if I'm correct, they have no constitutional right to confiscate any signs. Being that most signs aren't a genuine distracted and aren't oriented toward anything illegal, fans can sue (probably successfully) if a sign is confiscated.

That is true i am a law student and it is a violation of our first amendment rights. i still watch wwe but wwe has stopped caring about the fans and started caring about the money.

I think people confuse WWE's sign removal, they remove things that are in breach of copyright or are clearly promotional tools and explicit signs. although this doesnt justify them removing Cena sucks signs.

WWE or arena security removes signs that are offensive, or threathening a wrestler. For example a guy one section next to me at Survivor Series got thrown out because he brought a "Kill John Cena" sign.

I can see them removing some of the signs with a reason, such as having threats or something, but when it comes to other signs, I agree that the WWE doesn't care about the fans, just money.

My example? Survivor Series. The fact that someone (or was it more than one person) had their sign confiscated after the Lita/Mickie match. What did it say? "Thank you Lita". Sure Lita was a heel, but IMO she was one of the best female wrestlers in the WWE. She actually knows how to compete in a match. I wasn't surprised by the fact that someone had that sign, as I probably would have also if I was there. I think it was stupid to confiscate a sign that was showing respect to someone leaving the company after all they did, face or heel.

Lol@ that sign. Personally bad exposure like saying someone sucks is getting a message across. why do wwe need to war with tna when the fans are doing it fine on thier own?

Completely incorrect.

WWE doesn't have to allow any signs if they don't want to.

Constitutional rights are not really guaranteed under certain circumstances. One example could be a WWE show. Under lease agreements, whichever arena they are in is technically their arena for the evening. It is their television slot, their show, and their advertisers. If they don't want a fan to display ANY opinion on a sign, they don't have to permit you.
