Sam's Thread of Chattin' w/ Jake & Other Robust Subjects

That's pretty much the reaction I always get when I share my non-love of that grumpy faced baw-sack.

To be fair, he's overrated as fuck. I lvoe Wes Anderson movies but Grand Budapest and Moonrise Kingdom were the best because he is essentially a bit part in it.

But The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou.

And Ghostbusters.

And Groundhog Day.

And Lost in Translation.

And, to a lesser extent, Scrooged.

Nope to all. I've seen several of his films but I just can't stand him.

May as well add that I'm not a Wes Anderson fan either although I can understand his appeal. Not for me though.

Double fuck you.

Fuck.

I didn't like Lost in Translation. More like Lost an Hour and a Half of my Life, amiright?

I did like Robin Williams, though. An absolute comic genius and from all accounts a fantastic human being. Hopefully his death will raise awareness for depression and suicide, but it's very sad that it had to happen this way.

The praise for the movie probably comes from all of the internet forever aloners who live vicariously through Bill Murray's character. I just found the missed connections section on Craigslist and it's hilarious. Check that out for some entertainment from the same demographic that fawns over that movie.

But I seriously thought it was decent.

I've never seen it.

Also thanks for that text Sam, I legit laughed out loud.

There are a lot of people I'd live vicariously through before a lonely, depressed celebrity that doesn't even get to sleep with Scarlet Johansson.

I enjoyed Safety Not Gauranteed, I think it was probably the cast for me though. Looking forward to what the director can do with the new Jurassic Park instalment.

We nearly got away from talking about our movie obsession for a bit there, huh?

Good Will Hunting's on BBC One just now. Wonder why they're--

Robin Williams just appeared and it hurt a bit.
