The three starred ranks swell once more. Most remarkable tonal shift I may have ever seen in a movie - barring maybe Kick-Ass. It's like characters from Gangster Squad wandered into Beasts of the Southern Wild.

The Croods is quite good, won't go down as a classic or anything but has some decent moments and a funny running gag about the mother in law. I had no idea who was doing any of the voices beforehand so got a couple of surprises.

I couldn't decide between Olympus has fallen and IM3 so just watched a cheap horror I got from Tesco called Underground. It was the best of a bad bunch, but my expectations weren't high when I got a set of 3 horror films together for £3.

I really enjoyed Iron Man. And that's about it really.

Scary Movie, it seemed like a good idea at the time.

Very, very close to ending up with red stars, but my enthusiasm dissipated just a tad on the train ride home. I was going to say that it's like Paul Bearer: The Early Years, though it turns out that it's based a true story (and not the true story of Paul Bearer either).

I won't be seeing that. Stoke effect again. I will be seeing, if I can be arsed, 21 And Over & Dead Man Down tomorrow. Now that is a double-bill not worth getting out of bed for.

Dead Man Down looks like it might have a few elaborate action scenes worth getting out of bed for. It's from the bloke who did the Swedish version of The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo (i.e. not David Fincher), so that could be a plus or a minus.

21 & Over? I'm 21 and even I don't get the appeal.

I'm seeing Dead Man Down because I'm on Wade Barrett watch. He'll be the Where's Wally of that film.

I want to see if the 21 year olds in that film are as annoying as those ***** who try to talk to me at uni.

No you don't. It's May the 4th AKA Star Wars Day (May the 4th). I'm pretending I think Star Trek is Star Wars.

Yup.

Seemingly CEX have a BluRay sale on this weekend so I'm going to grab a few.

I didn't even know CEX had sales. I'll walk down to the shops tomorrow - if I can get over the hole I've just torn into my foot.
