An update, of sorts.
I seen Flight the other day and I was impressed. A lot of people I had taken reviews from said that the movie could have ended after the first 20 minutes and it would have been much better. I tend to disagree. The movie was brilliant but it leans towards being a low 4 rather than a high 4. Denzel Washington was really gripping as the central character. His character development throughout was really emotional at times and wholly believable. That said, the inevitable twist at the end sullied the film in my opinion.
Wreck It Ralph was surprisingly good. For an animated film, it really was good. The plot was very original and hugely entertaining. I really liked it but I don't think it's quite as good as a lot of people are making it out. Not bad at all.
Les Mis is singing. Just singing. A lot better than I expected actually.

Just got caught up with Raw and Swagger's got a Vietnam vet as a manager! I'm not sure if it's brilliant or if it's just the medication I'm on. I'm pretty sure it's the best thing ever.

Would probably be easier for someone from the same country as you, though maybe I'll send Jake a copy of my last will and testament. NorCal, you can have my Yes! shirt. It's at least two sizes too small but you cut the sleeves off and you've got yourself a going out shirt.

Welp. it was fun while it lasted.
All good answers, especially Sam's (which I'm now kicking myself for not choosing and may even go back on my proposal and change it to this), but I picked The Nines. It's a good movie, though not on the same level as Eternal Sunshine or Fight Club, but has a ton of posthumanist stuff in it and that's what the subject of my paper will be.
Still, I plan on bringing up other films that touch on physical manifestations of imagination, and those three will certainly be mentioned for various reasons (schizophrenia, imaginary friends, and dreams respectively).

I can't believe I didn't mention it first time around, even though its only in my fucking sig at the moment and everything, but Where The Wild Things Are could sneak in under the imaginary friends umbrella. Possibly schizophrenia too but that would make me too sad for Max, and I'd rather not be thanks all the same.

The videogame references were rather neat - or at least I thought so - but I've no idea how that many different plot strands snuck their way into a kid's movie. I'd have preferred it if it was a little less convoluted and spent a longer time revelling in the wider videogame world.
My quota for the month has been met, but I really want to see Cloud Atlas. Might have to go into town to see it. Hmph.
Is Brave worth watching? I know it's one of the other animated films nominated for an Oscar, but I didn't have the urge to waste a trip to theater to watch it.
And I couldn't identify 80% of the video game references in Wreck-It Ralph. Then again, this is coming from a guy, who still uses a PS2 every now and then.

Brave wasn't bad, but it was definitely one of the weakest Pixar films. I had trouble getting emotionally attached, which usually isn't a problem for me with Pixar.
