The Matrix isn't awful but the sequels definately harmed in a way. Not sure how exactly. I suppose nobody really talks about The Matrix anymore. It should be considered a classic, but I don't feel many people feel that way.

Welcome to My (And Not Sly's) House
It's one of my all time favorites. I had to watch it five or six times to really get what was going on. The sequels I've seen once each and I see no need to ever watch them again.

Don't tell Mia Wasikowska, but I love her. I love her so much. Which might also be why I love Stoker. Mmph.
And I like the way No looks. I mean, it looks like shit, but in a good way.

Saw Song For Marion because the trailer made me smile and I love me some Terence Stamp. But it turns out I'm just as much of a fan of Vanessa Redgrave because that film dies as soon as she does.
I wish I could give Stoker a higher rating. I thought it was very good (I mean look how close to Die Hard it is on my list!) but it's 2013 and I don't love anything anymore.

Jason Statham? Ew, gross. Oz at least has Sam Raimi and still looks approximately one thousand better than that Jack the Giant Killer/Slayer/whatever they're calling now film.
I'll be watching Oz, Robot & Frank, Sideways and maybe Broken.
Oz The Great & Powerful wasn't great or powerful. Oz was kind of dull until the very end, but it's loaded with cool and spectacular CGI effects. Michelle Williams was the stand out star of the cast, and the flying monkey was good for a few laughs. And I don't think it's a spoiler, but just in case:
The movie really lost me, when Mila Kunis finally transformed into the green Wicked Witch Of The West. The character did not fit her at all, but Kunis gave a good effort.
Well, no. Oz doesn't sink that low. Of course, I put most of the blame on Sam Worthington, not the man in my sig. And I think they had a kid kill one of the Terminators in Salvation. That's a big no-no.
If I handed in my season ticket every time I witnessed a shower of shite then, well-- Charlton have won four games at home this season. Four. Out of seventeen. That's all I'm saying.

I was going to describe Side Effects as unremarkable and give it three stars but that's not fair on the other three star films. I bet Robert Zemeckis really tried with Flight, and it shows. You have to at least put in some effort to get three stars. See ya, Steve.

They also lost to Huddersfield in the FA Cup, lost to Palace away and drew with Wolves away, taking the total win:loss/draw ratio of matches I've seen to 4:16. Most entertaining moment of the season was probably Fuller shooting from miles out, scoring, and immediately falling down injured, you're right.
Not sure I can be bothered to see Oz anymore - those two films yesterday totally drained my enthusiasm. I never thought I'd not want to add films to the list!
I'm in the market to buy a few DVDs these days. One of them is a must, and that's The Nines since I'm writing a paper on it. I decided I also want to get American Beauty on DVD since that's one of my favorites. Being a rule of threes type of cat, I need a third one. What's a timeless movie that I can watch over and over again worth buying on DVD?
DVD? DVD!? Sir, I will not soil my hands with such plebtech. Carrying on with the theme of nine, you could buy 9 (the animated film with Elijah Wood), Nine (the not animated film with Daniel Day Lewis) or Deep Backdoor Penetration 9: The Blackening (starring a younger Daniel Day Lewis). I'd only really recommend the last one.
Otherwise, Lawrence of Arabia, though to watch it more than once would take a number of months.
