Sam's Thread of Chattin' w/ Jake & Other Robust Subjects

I don't mind LaBeouf, he's the best thing in his shitty films. The soundtrack is the best thing in a Michael Cera film.

I missed that whole Even Stevens phase, bit too old luckily.

I'm curious as to your thoughts.

I'm going to assume that's an attractive woman.

Phillistine! I was making an hilarious joke where I pretended that Jake was talking about the 1960s British TV series The Avengers, starring Diana Rigg as the heroine Emma Peel, when in fact he was talking about a clusterfuck superhero film.

This is why I don't do randoms on Facebook, by the way. I'm not interested in the happenings of people I've net, let alone some 14 year old from Grimsby.

It's a well done tattoo. But it's on a woman and from afar it's going to look very macho.

If you think The Avengers is going to be a clusterfuck just wait until The Justice League comes out...

Won't happen. Batman is now, or close to, a billion dollar film franchise. A Justice League movie would cost more, but would it make significantly more than a solo Batman?

The Avengers is only being made because they've exhausted a lot of their main guys in crappy films. DC have barely even started yet and so far they seem to have more quality control.

This is true, although if done well it could work stupendously. Im nearly positive the first one will be bad, but then they could learn from it and make the inevitable sequel. And if they do lets say a Thanos saga and make them episodic it will come across a lot better.

Piece of piss mate. I assumed it'd be harder. But they give you work, you do it and that's it. The only problem I've noticed with some people is that they don't start the work when they're given it and then they struggle to get it in on time.

I think it starts proper in three weeks. I'm not looking forward to hanging around with lots of pretentious film students.

I bet half of them will think Scott Pilgrim was five stars and half of them won't - but only because it was too commercial.

Risky Business.

This is an excerpt of a post from another forum. Tell me the nationality of the poster:

CM Punk – 1. How is that not a skinhead stable. 2. Amazing mic work

Wade Barrett – Oywm Wayde Bawwett.

Sheamus – He says things like “Oi” and it makes me laugh

Good guess. Correct. Remember that weird nuance I heard in Barrett's accent? I think that was because of the compressed sound. Don't hear it at all on TV. All I hear is, "YOU WHAT!?".

Edit: I also enjoyed it when he said "Hold your horses" last week. Nearly as much as Sheamus' "plastic paddies."

Something Ryan in FCW; supposedly the Welsh Batista. But anybody knows that the only nationality Batista couldn't have got to work is Welsh, so where do we go from here?

I also noticed you get the exact same default reaction in the TNA section that I used to:

"Oh, so you just hate everything in TNA, don't you?" - or some variation thereof.

My reply: "The day TNA stops being shit is the day I stop pointing it out" - or some variation thereof.

I'm still not sure where the ''AJ Styles is still good'' argument is coming from. Or anything positive relating to Joe. Must've been those two months when they were waiting for Hogan to arrive and TNA wasn't awful. 'Cus that's the best TNA ever is, not awful.

Might be my awful memory, but I would've probably said their match at The Bash was better. Don't remember much from either one of them though, but I remember praising the Bash match.

Either way, Rey and Jericho together normally equals wonderful wrestling. I can't help but think how Punk and Jericho would do together in the ring.
