Sam's Thread of Chattin' w/ Jake & Other Robust Subjects

Christian Bale is actually enjoyable to watch in it. Something he hasn't been since, well, American Psycho I suppose.

I think I got my hopes up by thinking True Grit would be another No Country. After another viewing, I'm sure it'll move up the list.

Well, he starts the book with how he'll remember Chris how he knew him, not how he was in his final days. Then he says how Benoit intimidated him for years and years, accosted him for not "dressing for the big time" and would pay penance in the form of impromptu intense exercise if he botched even slightly during a match.

Malenko sounds like fun though.

I guess. Anyway, I'm just gonna go down to the cellar and do five thousand squats. Be back in a jiffy.

Sorry, I'm still shaken after a friend asked me on Facebook if I could smell what The Rock is cooking. He never asked me if I could, um, analyse what Daniel Bryan was, uh, submitting. Though that would be a fucking great catchphrase, wouldn't it?

Jake, 36 days out, still no MITB match announced. Hope?

Yeah dude, reading online rumours it looks like they're going to produce a proper Mania card for a change. Proper matches, probably short undercard ones just like they used to have. No point putting lots of people on the biggest card of the year when they won't appear on PPV again for month.

MITB made the best PPV of last year anyway, but its a worthless undercard match.

It looks like we will be without the MitB ladder match this year. I have mixed feeling about that, mostly because I was counting on Morrison to win it. Hopefully they put him in a match that will still deliver a great Wrestlemania moment for him.

1. The Fighter
2. Black Swan
3. The King's Speech
4. Rango
5. 127 Hours
6. True Grit

Why did I enjoy Rango so much? No idea.

I just talked to a buddy of mine who saw Rango and said it's one of his favorite animated films ever, it was that good. I definitely want to check it out while it's still in theaters.

I hear good things but opted for The Adjustment Bureau. Same thing that kept me away from The Fighter and The Social Network for the longest time: The trailer did nothing for me. I know we're not supposed to judge a book by it's cover, but the least these companies could do is cut the trailer while keeping in mind that some people do judge books in that manner.

They cut the trailer for the lowest common denominator usually. The Social Network trailer, however, was obviously cut for dangerous sociopaths and possibly moderate sadomasochists. That shit, as they say, was weak.

He can win it in July, or whatever. Or in July 2012, 'cus Ziggler is on Raw now.

Surprising how few films you want to see when you study film.

Can't be fucked to find a wrestling related thread and it appears as though Norcal still pops his head in occasionally, but why the fuck was JBL on Raw on Monday instead of Mania and why is Austin a special ref? The Rock will have 20 minutes to cut a promo at Mania, JBL comes out, then verbals between the two, Austin comes out, ass-whoopin' for JBL, beer drinking, end. Simple.
