Royal Rumble 2010

I think the Rumble winner will be someone who's had a great year in 2009. The WWE year ends with Wrestlemania, not the Royal Rumble. So they'll be looking to keep whoever's on a roll on said roll. And I don't think a Raw main eventer will win it.

Here's the possible candidates from Raw:
MVP. That's not gonna happen, he's kinda old in wrestling years. And they don't wanna push R-Truth because of his age, so why would they push MVP? They're trying to create young, long lasting stars.

Dibiase. People are saying Dibiase will be like Batista, and win the Royal Rumble. But 1- Batista was in Evolution for 2 years before his push, Dibiase has only been in Legacy for 1 year. And 2- Batista had some decent feuds against the likes of Kane before he broke away from Evolution. Unless DX are planning to put over Legacy a good few times, I don't see Dibiase breaking away just yet.

The Miz. Wildcard from Raw. His burial at the hands of Cena is all starting to make sense now in the bigger picture. He did the anti-Cena promos to get over, then lost a few times to Cena. Now he's back with a different style. If he can get on a good roll and capitalise on the heat from the Cena feud and maybe get a good US title win, he could be over enough to win Royal Rumble by January.

If Edge returns by then, which is looking doubtful, then he will no doubt win the Rumble and it'll be a repeat of Triple H in 2002.

If Edge doesn't return by then, I might have to go with CM Punk. The guy is not doubt on a roll. While it's quite a big chance that he will actually be in the title match at Royal Rumble, if he's not he could go into the Rumble and definately be in the final 4 and quite possibly win. Hell, if he's in the title match, he could lose, go into the Royal Rumble anyway, win and challenge the other champion. I know that's an Edge-esque move, but Punk is known as an opportunist like Edge.

John Morrison. The guy is becoming a pretty big star. He's beaten Punk twice, and he looked great against Jeff Hardy, even kicking out of the Swanton. He should definately not be counted out of the Rumble match.

Matt Hardy. SD's wildcard. He seems to be using his brother to get a main event push. No doubt he'll be feuding with Punk when Jeff leaves. If Punk helps him, Matt Hardy could become SD's top face and he could possibly go on to win the Rumble. But I wouldn't bet money on it...

I'll give you guys a few options and opinions

CM Punk...that would be a huge let down for me, it would almost seem like a waste.

Teddy Jr...It all depends on what happens with this DX feud. I'm not sure if you guys saw Raw, but legacy looked good. Rhodes/Dibiase didn't even try and run in and save Orton, they all looked pretty good. They may make a run out of this Legacy thing but I agree, WWE repeats so much it almost seems like stuttering sometimes

Morrison...He would be the kind of guy to put in at number 1 and win the whole thing, but I see him in a title match arouCnd that time, so who knows?

MVP...I don't know what they are trying to do with him anymore, this Swagger angle seems like it's gonna bring Swagger up more than MVP. So unless something drastic happens soon, no go on MVP.

Miz....just kidding

Mark Henry...If they really wanna give him one last push this would be the way to do it.

Chris Jericho...depending on how they work out the tag titles, my favorite outcome would be Jerishow vs Edge and Christian at Mania, but that's wishful thinking.

Christian...only hope on the card for an ECW win, would be nice.

Rey..if he loses the IC and they feel like giving him another push...I wouldn't enjoy it.

HHH...please....don't

Batista...please....don't

Cena...please....actually I really don't care, just go fight Punk.

Orton...lose title, Win, Go to Smackdown. He deserves to be on the good show

Teddy, Morrison,Christian, returning Jeff Hardy....this is more of a want list, know the WWE it will probably be HHH, gay.

If this is HBK's last year, he'll probably win this year and go to Wrestlemania, win the title, and become the first Superstar to retire as champion. If not, I could see a returning Edge winning it, Batista will be red-hot with the crowd when he comes back around November, so that gives him a shout aswell.

Here is my top 3 main eventers, barring them having the title between now and then:

1. HHH (he was born in my hometown)
2. HBK (if HHH has the title for WM 26 have HBK vs HHH career vs title match)
3. Undertaker (see if they give him a good feud for the wrestlemania for the title)

And here are my top 3 mid-carders who i think have a shot

1. Mark Henry (due to the size of him and where they aren't using him properly might make up for it)
2. Evan Bourne (i like his style, he reminds me of an american unmasked version of Rey Mysterio)
3. Primo (to prove hes a better Colon then either of his brothers)

to be perfectly honest i cannot even make a prediction as to who will win but i can make predictions on what will happen if certain superstars win

this will be kinda long but bare with me:

CHRISTIAN - if he wins i see a move to smackdown to feud with jericho or maybe punk...and hopefully later teaming with edge to maybe feud with jericho and big show

MVP - bout time for a big push, i could see him possibly facing randy orton

SWAGGER - one i doubt will win the rumble but if he does i could see him taking on cena or maybe batista

PUNK - another accomplishment under this mans belt; could easily feud with morrison, rey or edge

EDGE - makes his return to feud with jericho...or a big twist faces off against his former ratedRKO tag partner and jumps to RAW

DIBIASE - turns face as we all know he will eventually do and faces orton, but he could face HHH and win the title and orton can turn on dibiase just like HHH did to orton back in Evolution setting up the feud between them

MORRISON - a very likely candidate to win the 2010 rumble, he can feud with punk, jericho, and even rey...i personally would love to see morrison win the rumble

ZIGGLER - another i doubt will win the rumble this year but you never know, he could surprise you and possibly take his feud with rey to the next level by having rey win the title if hardy takes a break after summerslam, then having ziggler continue to assault rey but this time over a more prestigious title

JERICHO - if he does win the rumble i see the titles eventually going to either legacy, dx, or edge and christian before WM26, but we all want to see jericho versus edge in a match at wrestlemania...please let it be a TLC or ladder match...maybe a feud with taker?

MARK HENRY - has been getting a lot of pops as a face lately and his initial decimation of orton, followed by his helping cena last night henry is another who could win the rumble and take on orton i just hope if it is him that he can put on a more interesting match

TAKER - all of us at one point or another are wondering when taker will return, coming back to but cocky ziggler in his place first if taker later does then win the rumble, a feud with big show seems likely to me, but i would hope to see him feud with jericho or punk instead

my prediction is edge because winning the royal rumble is the only thing he hasnt done in his career (been tag team champ, ic champ, us champ, wwe champ, world champ, won KOTR) & also his nickname is "The Ultimate Opportunist" so i think the creative team will come up with something for him to "steal" the royal rumble win away from a heel (most likely edge will return as a face)

There will not be a Mid-Card guy win the Rumble because that would mean that creative would have to be well creative. The Main Event at Mania will go to an established star leaving only these possibilities:

I would love to see Morrison, Christian, Swagger, etc. get the push they deserve but I just don't see it happening at the Rumble maybe at MITB.

I dont think edge will win the rumble, if he even returns in time for it. if he does make it back in time, i dont think he will even be in the rumble. he will do something opportunistic to make jericho lose the rumble. like he did at one night stand by interfering in Cena vs RVD and spearing cena through the table. if he does interfere at RR, he will most likely do it in a disguise, have jericho flipping out on the outside, then the "mystery man" spears jericho and the crowd goes nuts. the "mystery man" takes off whatever is hiding his face and the crowd goes even more crazy.

thats just a wish though. in the end creative will probly build up a great RR, and completely screwing it up in the end. like they do with everything

you know everyone is tlakin about jeff hardy leaving for a while not forever.
so why would vince not be smart and give jeff an "injury" send off then try to sign him before the rumble and have him win the rumble and make him have another ladder match with taker that would be awesome. we all know there is only a 10% chance that edge will be back in time. hhh and cena dont deserve it. it would be ok if orton did a back to back rr win. chris jericho would be a great pick cause he needs that rr win. mvp or jack swagger are the only possible mid carders to win

my pick is jeff hardy. I think he'' leave after summerslam and be off until royal rumble. he'll make a suprise return like cena and win. he will go on to beat hbk, who wins the title at armageddon in san antonio, in the main event of wrestlemania 26. it could be hbk's last match or not it will still steal the show again.

I have to give the 2010 Rumble to Morrison and I agree he'll be a 1 or 2 entrant and go the distance and probably be the last match at Wrestlemania 26 for HBK who will have the Title at that point for one reason or another. This will be a great goodbye to HBK, and giant, legitimate push for Morrison, and will no doubt be the match to watch at Wrestlemanina 26. The only other thought that I think is a great idea is Edge returning at the Rumble like Cena did, but I doubt he'll actually be healthy enough to be back by then. It would be nice though.

My vote for who should win the rumble - Christian.

Hmm hes over as hell and he hasnt won a major title yet (ECW definitely doesnt count) and IMO he is definitely credible enough of a star to win the rumble. I would love to see a Christian/Jericho feud that somehow leads into Edge getting involved somewhere down the road.

I also think it is a bad move to have Edge wn the rumble if he isnt ready to go all out in the ring yet. Some people think edge should win the rumble wihtout eliminating anyone. It would just be a huge tipoff to fans that hes not ready to fight yet and I personally think that would be lame.

I guess it's a bit too early, as the next Royal Rumble isn't for five months. In my opinion, you can definitely already see the trends WWE is going with for next year's build up into Wrestlemania. You can see who they are building to main event, and who's going to get left behind again. So my question is: Who do you think will win the 2010 Royal Rumble, and go on to main event Wrestlemania 26?

I'd like to see Kane win. He should be in main event matches. Matt Hardy would be nice to see, even Jericho. Vladimir Kozlov. I could see him just beat the hell out of everybody. But most likely it'll be Cena, Ortan, CM Punk, Batista, HHH, or HBK. WWE having anybody else win would surprise the hell out of me. But my main guys would be Kane, Mark Henry, Vladimir Kozlov & Matt Hardy to win. even though it's highly unlikely to see.

If Jeff Hardy is really leaving then I'd see Morrison as a logical answer for Hardy's replacement in the main event status on Smackdown, judging that he doesn't get the push before the Royal Rumble of course, then again he could still be given the win anyways. As of right now though only then that I really can't say who would take the RR next year, I say it's a little early to make a really good prediction.

I personally think that everything is pointing towards Edge returning to win the Royal Rumble if his recovery goes to plan. However, I also think that WWE could throw us a huge swerve and make him loss or enter the WWE Championship match and not the Royal Rumble. Who knows? If, indeed, Edge does not enter the Royal Rumble and for some reason is not on the card at all, I would love to see Jack Swagger win the Royal Rumble match. I think that the Royal Rumble makes a great time to push stars but if you look at the last few winners, they have all been established stars already.

I don't know about this Royal Rumble. Last year, it was clear that Orton was going to win the match because of the angle that he was in but this year, no angle is really leading up to it at the precise moment. I would like Swagger to win it but I don't think he will. I still stand by Edge and I would be very surprised if it wasn't.

John Morrison is an obvious choice. Dolph Ziggler should also be ready for the upper-midcard/mainevent scene by then. Also Matt Hardy would be a nice choice to win @ the Rumble.

Lets be honest there's nobody who is worthy of maineventing than hbk. he so deserves it and to answer his question, whos been buit up, well nobody has. What this guy said! I definitely see Edge coming back at the Rumble. I don't know if he wins, but I sure hope he does. The thing is, Jericho would have to be the champion. Since I expect Edge and Jericho to be feuding once Edge returns. If Jericho isn't champ, I expect Edge to return, eliminate Jericho and himself, and then kick Jericho's tush all the way backstage.

If Edge doesn't win, I see John Morrison winning. He is getting some good momentum on SD and has looked good, though he hasn't been in any feuds. I think if they continue to build Morrison up and keep him on his winning ways, we might see him win the Rumble. That or MITB.

As I have said on numerous occasions, I have a sneaky feeling that Edge will make a return to win the match at the Royal Rumble. I guess, that this is up in the air though and could happen. If his recovery goes to plan then I definitely see him winning the match. If he is not going to win the match, I would like to see Swagger win it. I think the guys is probably one of the best superstars in the roster and deserves his push a lot more than some others do. However, I just can't see someone like Swagger main eventing Wrestlemania, not at this point anyway. I am pretty sure that it will be an established star that wins the Royal Rumble and Edge really fits the bill.

John Morrison seems poised to wins this since it looks like he's being forced to wait a little bit longer to hold the gold. Edge could return and then win it. Also Matt Hardy and I say that because this would be the exact thing he could use to propel himself into that main event scene.

I'd like to see Morrison win it. Either that, or Edge if he's healthy. I don't want a watered down Rated R Superstar. He has to be healthy, and if he isn't he's definitely in the top running for 2011. Lets face it. The RR is the only thing he hasn't done in the WWE. He has the single most impressive resume, no one has ever done everything he has. So he NEEDS this to complete his rise to the top, not that he isn't already there, but this would make him even greater.
