I didn't like the 40 man rumble. Even with all of the guys it felt rushed. The Royal Rumble is my favorite event of the year, and I like it the way that it has been for the majority of the time with 30 guys. I also like the 2 minutes between guys coming in. I know they have experiment with guys coming in every 90 seconds and that felt rushed too. I guess I am just a traditionalist about this, but I have always favored 30 men.

40 ma rumble was actually a good thing, it had more wrestlers then ever before, but then to go back just to 30 made royal rumble seem stale, i think 50 could actually be the best way to go, i mean wwe has lots of guys, i think they have over 50 wrestlers not to mention the nxt and the fcw could have a 1 time apperance and it could test them to see if the crowd would love them or not

I wouldn't mind seeing another 40 man Royal Rumble. I disliked the one in 2011, but that was mainly due to the booking. There are enough wrestlers on the roster to give it another try again this year. With 60+ wrestlers on the roster it allows nearly every single wrestler a chance to make it onto the card somehow. At least 4 wrestlers from the roster will be in a world title match as the WWE and World Heavyweight Champions are putting their belts up for grabs for at least one challenger each. Then you have your likely midcard title or tag team title match and a filler match or two. That's 4to 10 others. There are still more than enough names left on the roster after that for nearly all of them to compete in a 40 man Royal Rumble match. That's just going by the current roster and not counting any guest entrants or returns.

Not only does WWE have enough wrestlers to try the 40 man Royal Rumble match again, it gives wrestlers who might not make it onto another PPV event that year a chance to showcase what they can do. I really don't see why they shouldn't give it another try. If they ever do decide to try that idea again then I would certainly support it. I can't think of a single reason to not try it one more time, while there are plenty of reasons why they should. The biggest obviously being more wrestlers making it onto the card. Another big reason is it would be something different. Only one other Royal Rumble had 40 contenders. There's nothing wrong with breaking the tradition of 30 by adding a few more entrants. Do it, WWE! Make the 2014 Royal Rumble the 2nd 40 Man Royal Rumble match!

The Rumble should be 30 guys.

40 guys gets more people on the show, but more wrestlers should be getting on the card regardless of whether it's a 30 or 40 man Rumble.

Even if the Rumble is limited to 30 guys, they should still be able to fit a low level guy like Alex Riley in. NO one should be pulling double duty. No wrestler should be working a match on the undercard AND competing in the Rumble match, unless there is absolutely no one who can fill the Rumble slot. And limit the surprise returns to only 1-2 guys.
