I'm still of the opinion that Neo should have his powers and with said powers, I don't think Dumbie could beat him.

If you still want a Matrix argument, though; well of course this and all other universes involved are apart of the Matrix. Our machine overlords allow us a certain level of creativity to keep us occupied and docile. Hell, they even allow us knowledge of the Matrix so that we would think that we couldn't possibly be in the Matrix and since we think, KNOW that we aren't in the Matrix we don't try to revolt and we accept the program. All just another form of control.

Neo wins.

"You take the blue pill, the story ends. You wake up in your bed and believe whatever you want to believe. You take the red pill, you stay in Wonderland, and I show you how deep the rabbit hole goes."
―Morpheus, to Neo

Memory Charms. Lovely aren't they? If only Neo was against someone who could make him forget what he found out about being the chosen one and the Matrix. He could even use the charm Hermoine uses which puts false memories in their heads. He Neo you picked the Blue pill. You know nothing now. So Neo regresses to Mr. Anderson once again leading it to the second Tom that Dumbledore has outsmarted.

Good plan, except Neo can manipulate the laws of causality, as shown when he created a third option to save humanity than what the Architect had presented to him. Even if Neo had taken that blue pill, his destiny would have found him somehow. And Dumbledore of all people knows not to fuck around with destiny.

Wow, you are doing a really good job reminding everyone how bad that movie franchise became.

Under this destiny scenario, doesn't this whole tournament become useless? Like, isn't the winner predetermined in that case, and wouldn't that winner be Neo?

That once and for all proves that this tournament can't take place in the Matrix, because Neo has been in this tournament before and not won.

Well we aren't arguing series quality here. This isn't a movie tournament. We are arguing one character's power and abilities versus another's. And Neo is superior. All I'm saying is that it was Neo's destiny to be the savior of his universe. That's not something that Dumbledore could take away from him even if he used a memory charm.

I never suggested that this fight would take place in the Matrix. What I suggested is that Neo would have to have access to those abilities as the Matrix and his "real" world are connected. Otherwise it would be impossible to compare him to a fighter from the Harry Potter universe. You'd have to normalize both versus completely.

If the Matrix were a completely separate universe from Neo's real world with no connection to it at all, then I could see your point about not allowing Neo to access his abilities.

Like with Trunks, we aren't normalizing all 12 of the Dragonball universes. Just universe 7.

Man, I remember banging the 'which Neo is it!?' drum a couple of years ago when he was up against Wonder Woman. Good times.

Unlimited power Neo in the Matrix can kick a fair amount of ass.
Comparatively limited powered Neo can see with no eyes, blow up Sentinels by thinking, while Dumbledore is still in a battery pod.

Thats how I see it anyways.
