ROH in 2019

Pre-Show Stalwart
After their road to MSG which was sold out while the Elite was in the company. Post-G1 SuperCard instead of growing ROH has fallen to their current level maybe it was a mistake to help Cody and the Young Bucks promote their own show without the ROH brand, not resigning them when they had the chance, having Matt Taven their top champion instead of Marty Scurill, the whole Bully Ray drama with a fan in Oregon, Death by Dishonor having 600-800 paid fans in a building that Impact Wrestling sold out a few times to the whole Joey Mercury firing and putting ROH's business ethics into the public eye. What is next for ROH? improvement or more bad news?

ROH is on a downfall right now sadly, the biggest mistake they made was helping out The Elite with All in. The MSG sell out was on the bases of the fans thinking that The Elite would be on the card which they didn't do and even New japan wasn't well represented on that show and it burned the fans of the show especially by bringing Cass and enzo in for a one off.

Then they pretty much got screw over by cody and everybody else involve with AEW when they went on a hiring spree to get every major talent that wasn't sign to WWE to a exclusive contract so ROH got stuck with the leftover which killed any momemtum they would have from the MSG show. Plus the fact that Sinclair broadcasting still don't want to put a lot of money in the company kinda tell you why ROH is where it is right now compared to everybody else in the wrestling business.

Yeah, let's blame AEW on them failing to do anything to ride the wave of the momentum coming out of the MSG show, it seems to be that's what you're good at... If Sinclair and ROH really cared about keeping Cody and the Bucks, they would have signed them.

Yeah it's not like they didn't try, but cody and the bucks had already made up their mind after all in that they wanted to start a new pro wrestling company and then decided to go out and sign all the big name indy stars that weren't under contract to exclusive contract which forced ROH to go without any big draws left to sign.

Like it or not AEW maybe without realising it, screwed over others promotion that will have to go out and find a way to make some other guys become stars because it's going to be hard to get fans talking about company like ROH when you have the ultimate indy company in AEW and NXT taking all the talent.

Also that's the reason why New japan will never go into a partnership with AEW, because just like AEW, they got screwed over by AEW.

Other than AEW, Impact looks to have been resuscitated once again, MLW has emerged and NWA now has a show going out.

It's a good time if you want something different to watch from WWE, ROH has made some decisions and been involved with some bad news stories this year, it's how and if they can recover from them.

If the guys in charge of the purse strings don't want to hire talent or invest a bit more in the company then ROH is in big trouble.

With so many different companies around at the minute, I wouldn't be surprised if there is some sort of merger/working partnerships in 2020.

I would be surprised to see ROH lasting into WrestleMania season if WWE doesn't buy the company beforehand.
