Raw LD 8/22/2016: One More Feisty Brooklyn Crowd

Anyways, time to make Kevin Owens, WWE. Put the strap on him next week. I like Big Cass, but I don't believe he is ready just yet, needs some more time, lMO.

Rollins and Roman are the obvious favourites.

I see Jericho costing Owens the match, since Y2J didn't make it.

Big Cass is the obvious underdog.

It's a reeeeally interesting match-up and quite unpredictable.

I refuse to accept that excuse. I'm not debating the show would've been different with Balor. I talking about their inability to entertain when in a bind. Working on the fly happens in entertainment, as other industries, and they continually fail. They did nothing to capitalize on opportunity here.

If Cass or Owens wins the four way, they absolutely did capitalize on an opportunity to make a new star. That never would have happened had Balor not been injured by Rollins.

What they did was pretty entertaining to be honest. Though the entrants in the fatal 4 way was a given the matches were solid. Some great promo's what was there not to like for them having to redo this show. Besides Balor just won last night they couldn't have just handed it to Rollins.

That ending part where Roman slaps Jericho around, that is the kind of badass Roman I like to see, and I am sure the majority would too. Such a pity that he continues to be portrayed as El Hijo de John Cena instead.

RAW is in desperate need of more star power now.

Rollins, Reigns, Jericho and Owens are the big dogs.

Zayn, Cesaro, Sheamus and Rusev are clearly midcarders and I don't see them as world champions in the coming future.

Can they really hang all the way to Wrestlemania with just 4 main event names, when we have seen Rollins vs Reigns already and Y2J is waaay past his prime?

RAW needs to step up the writing, because they will find themselves in deep trouble, trying to sell those brand exclusives PPVs.

Injured. After the beating he took last night and last week, I don't blame him for not coming down to interfere. :)

As long as he screws him next week. Can't miss two perfect opportunities to make this feud more personal. Everyone knows they're not finished with each other anyway.

kpgreece, Zayn, Cesaro and Rusev could easily become main eventers if they get good enough booking. All three of them have main event potential.

They really needed to put Cena and Orton on separate shows.

Sure they are, but in the meantime, don't they need at least one big household name to draw the fans in, so that these talents can have more extra exposure?

There's really no name at the moment for RAW that will make say "Hey, this guy is on RAW, I have to tune in to see him". Rollins is getting there, but there's something missing, like a big angle or something.

Oh wow, they inserted Big Cass as the interesting move. Everyone else and nearly all the matchs in the set up were the same old stuff. Why was I exactly supposed to be excited about Zayn/Rollins. No heat between the two and I've seen the match three times in the past month. Cass vs. Rusev was different but the champ was seriously hurt. Oh yeah, in that match big bad Cass has his hands full with a gimp. They had a chance to include some entertaining names like any of New Day, Braun or put some heat on the best of seven. There were possibilities but the play it boring and safe.

Ye, I don't think anyone would expect anything else. I don't see Roman getting back to the Main Event just yet(He will soon enough unless he does win the US title).

Maybe Triple H should return earlier than expected and lead a big storyline which would result in a big match against Rollins at Survivor Series. RAW needs something hot now that the Demon King storyline is out of the window.

Smackdown will reach new levels of hype with Styles after he defeated Cena clean and he's heading red hot for the WWE Championship.

RAW has to keep up.

I keep seeing this from many. Yes, Reigns and Rollins(and Ambrose) aren't at the levels of Cena, Lesnar and Orton, but they shouldn't be expected to be at such levels as yet.

Actually, Cena, Lesnar, Taker and the Rock(I put the likes of HHH and Orton in "Tier 2") from the current active roster, are the true Top talents, and defeating them cleanly in a feud would be what takes any member from the current to that next level.

However, for whatever reason, WWE isn't really prepared to do that as yet, and thus, many continue to seem out of their depths due to constant 50-50 booking.

All that said; the Daniel Bryan really messed up things for the WWE in a huge way(as did CM Punk's departure) as he would have been a "1A" to the SHIELD guys' "1B", lMO.

pretty meh RAW last night but for a last minute thrown together show it wasn't horrible.

Balor getting injured fucked up a lot of plans going forward
