RAW LD 1/20/14 The Animal Returns!

I had no problem whatsoever with last night's show. No it wasn't perfect, and we could all nitpick it to death, but I for one am loving WWE at the moment. I have no idea who is going to win the Royal Rumble. I'm equally uncertain as to who is facing who at Wrestlemania 30, and who will emerge on top. In terms of returning superstars, I'm really unsure of who will return and in what capacity. I'm not even sure anymore what's up with the Authority. I think the Road to Wrestlemania is going to be fantastic, and it should kick off in high gear this Sunday. And hopefully culminate with the unthinkable happening on the grandest stage of them all.

I hope that the plans of breaking The Shield up have been nixed. Ain't nobody gonna break the best thing in the show constantly. I'll be mad. Great show last night. Not fantastic, not the best show ever but pretty cool. Good matches and good segments. Wrestling is picking up again.

I fell asleep around the top of hour 3, but what I saw I was fine with. My biggest gripe from what I saw was that criminal underselling of Batista's return by Moe, Layfield, and Curly. Hopefully at least Cole got excoriated for that. You can't expect much from Lawler anymore, and JBL gets a pass for making me laugh when R-Truth was at the desk.
