If he was gonna be in it and not win, it would have been pointless.
If he was gonna win it, then they wasted the face turn on a random RAW.
I personally woulda had him turn face on Bray as the last two and then have Bryan win it all.

Hoping to see him debut a new gimmick tonight before or after the match.
They said they were going to use him more and that would be the only explanation for him to be used as the one to beat Orton.

I don't necessarily agree with that reasoning. It'd be easier to protect Bryan in the Rumble than in a singles match.

I'm glad he's not in the Rumble as I said in my earlier post in here, but the reason he's not in the Rumble is definitely not them trying to "play it safe", because if he was in the Rumble, he could have potentially just been thrown over or came in at 30 and thrown someone over with little contact. Instead they are having him work a full match. So his lack of presence in the Rumble is definitely not them trying to "protect" him.

They got to end that feud as soon as possible, there's literally nothing left to do besides kidnapping Brie.
He's been cleared and much like buthcer said a rumble match is way safer than a singles.
And it's telling me that no matter how over he is there is a legit glass ceiling above his head, and a legit brass that doesn't want to have him as THE guy

I don't think they were giving him the win. No point giving him the loss. Too popular to be in the match only for an appearance, and I feel the elimination would have to be significant (most likely Bray). Not gna have titus put him out. The match with Bray would have been the end result either way, might as well get to it.
