He's the champ because of an injury, and the guy he's feuding with is injured. I don't know that anybody else has gotten ever the title under such shitty circumstances.

Indeed, and it isn't helping KO's prospects of being a nailed-on ME talent whatsoever, lMO. Yes, he got handed the title, and he is a chicken-shit heel, but better writing a la SmackDown would have found a way to make him a big deal and 'sell' him to the audience as belonging in the role of Top Champ on the brand.


Right now, the US Champion > Universal Champion based on how WWE is portraying the two guys. It would be hilarious if the UC title match ended up not being a Hell in a Cell match come said PPV.

They even made it feel that way during the show opener when they highlighted the match with a graphic. Then as the match was about to get under way Cole slide in, "Kendrick looking to get back into the championship scene."

Honestly, for the past few weeks, I've been keeping RAW on in the background and hardly ever pay attention to it. Mainly watch for the Roman segments, and in the hope that the UC title scene gets some sort of logical direction not centred around those other than the contenders for it.
