Questions based on nationality

We were talking about history, a subject taught very poorly in today's schools.

I grew up in the same basic education system you're currently in, and I don't have the same problems grasping facts and using common sense. Same with KB, X, ST, and just about everyone else in here.

Also, proclaiming "America's the best, cause 48/7 said so", and then trashing the school system in the very same thread, makes you look a bit like a moron.

Nobody goes without food and water? Have you taken a look at Eastern Europe?

Have you? You know the Cold War is over, right? The following East European countries have the same percentage or less of the undernourished people than the USA: Lithuania, Poland, Estonia, Romania, Czech Republic, , Ukraine, Bulgaria, Greece...

As far as Germany having space, excuse me while I laugh my ass off. I've met people that live in Germany, and have had "pen pals" that live in Germany. One of the biggest problems in Germany is too many people. The population is growing too fast for the country to keep up with, and people end up living in tiny apartments. I don't know about the Scandanavian countries or France, but Germany is certainly not known for it's immense wealth and green pastures.

Population density isn't a problem outside the cities, just as it isn't in the US. The US does have a lower population density than Germany, however, but much higher than both Sweden and New Zealand, two countries that have already been mentioned.

I am voting GTA3. Meele was good but no where near as good as GTA3 in my opinion. I liked playing GTA3 much more than meele and I found it to be more fun. I just think that GTA3 is a way better game and I am voting for it because of that reason. I just liked playing it more, but I still think Meele is a pretty good game, just not as good.

False.

Wow! You were able to find one post. Want a cookie?

Now go find the other 728 post that I have in the non-spam sections and see what you get.

You're not going to sit here and try to tell me that history is a subject that is taught well, are you? Go ask any 16 year-old kid about the war of 1812, and who fought it. I doubt very many would know.

Bullshit. your experiences of history do not account for anyone elses. If it were not American history we were talking about, I might have known, but of course, Americans wouldn't know about Gallipoli or Tobruk or Kokoda.

Well, I've never played Melee but I'd take most games over it as fighting games bore me to death, so apparently, one of us is wrong, despite us saying the same thing.

Also, 48, how do you know the thoughts of American students everywhere? I knew what the war of 1812 was in 5th grade.

The Cold War may be over, but many countries are still recovering. With the exception of maybe the Czech Republic, no 1 country that split from the USSR is any better off than they were before.

When more than 2/3 of the country lives in the cities, I'd say it's a pretty big problem. I also never said anything bad about Sweden or NZ. I don't know enough about them to discuss them. I just know what I know about Germany, and have a good idea on the rest of Europe, but by no means am I an expert.

So did I, but most don't. I could ask any of my friends, and one, maybe two, would tell me the correct answer.

Maybe around you, and that's sad. I also find it sad that you don't take learning outside the classroom. It wouldn't hurt to crack open an encyclopedia, browse some websites, or maybe even go out and buy a history magazine, to learn a little more on your own.

Like I already said once, you need to spend a little less time on WZ and YouPorn, and use the internet for educational purposes...

Who in the heck spends time reading out of an encyclopedia in their free time? :lmao:

That was a suggestion, there are many other things you could do.

You have older people in your family, right? Try learning from things they tell you.

Firstly, the Czech Republic was in Czaechoslovakia not the USSR. Secondly, I think that Latvia, Lithuania and Estonia are happier with their human rights, stable currency and independence than they were in 1989. Thirdly, just about the only countries worse thanks to the fall of the USSR are those in Asia.
