Got the candies to evolve Omanyte and Graveler taken care of today as well as catching a random Chikorita.
Still need 20 Kabuto candies to be able to evolve that, not liking my odds of getting it before the end of the event. I do have 2 pineapple berries that could help me get there though.

Holy hell did I get lucky today. Got the candies to evolve a Rhyhorn as well as the candies to evolve Kabuto plus 2 extra. It's currently my buddy so I can get 1 more candy and power it up once before evolving it.
Could have had a Crowbat too but I fucked up and exited out trying to get Kabuto instead.

Ended the event with another Kabuto and another Geodude. Got robbed of my 2nd Onix by a game error.

Caught my 2nd ever Diglett today that was nice. Also got the candies to evolve Gloom into whatever it's gen 2 form is yesterday.
On the downside I got my 2nd Pineco out of an 10K Egg yesterday as well, still don't get why that's in a 10.

I've run out of data for this month so I've stopped playing regularly. I still go to the nearby train station every day to get the Poke-Stop with their WiFi though... 
Roll on the 1st so that I can get back to playing. I haven't really caught anything great recently. However, I'm wondering if anyone else here uses IV calculators for their catches?

My son was always talking about IV calculators, so I asked him one day what it was. He uses them to see the hidden stats on Pokemon he catches and then depending on how good or bad they are, he keeps them to evolve or turns them into candy. Tried to show me how they work, but it's like learning Chinese.

Just hatched Magby, 180 caught.
Also hatched a Bulbasaur, caught Sunkern and got the final candy needed to evolve Ponyta. Productive day today.

My streak of good hatches with eggs continues, hatched a Magnemite yesterday and now I'm 6 candies away from evolving it. Also got the final candy needed to evolve Vulpix.
The first of the month finally reared its head and my mobile data has been reinstated. Haven't really had a lot to share the last couple of weeks. I have an egg at 9.6km now, so looking forward to seeing how that turns out. Apart from that, no changes for me.

Just hatched another Magnamite, now I can evolve that.
Onto Magby as my buddy now for the 12 candies I need to evolve it. This 5K for a candy is gonna suck.

Nintendo have several directs a year. They're used to announce new games or do updates. Every now and then they do ones specifically about a game (Pokemon, Smash Bros, Zelda etc.) The last two Pokemon direct showed first footage of Sun/Moon and the one before that announced X/Y.

Oh cool. Wonder what it'll be about if not go. Too soon for another 3DS game id think?
Yesterday I was actually looking up if they were going to make another game or rumours of another game being in the works. A lot of what I was reading seemed to be convinced a sun/moon sequel will come out on the switch. Haven't played a switch and I hated the new games to the point where I didn't even start sun and only did two trials on moon, but would be interested to see what it would be like.
As for Go. Went on a bit of a hunt last night. Finally got my boy Golduck. Got a few other things like Macargo from evolving, Larvitar, 1000cp Mantine, Kadabra (already had an Alakazam but found that in the wild, never had the Kadabra haha). Obviously caught a lot of guys needing for evolution. Nearly have Raichu, Machamp, Nidoking, Venomoth, Beedrill, Powliwrath, Magneton and Ursaring. Just need less than 10 candies for each. Got 1.5k left on a 10k as well so hoping i get something decent from that. By that I mean I want a Heracross, Snorlax or Laura's. If I get another Mantine I'll be going wild.. Pokedex is at 141, only 101 on the Kanto Dex.

The big room is Pokemon Stars for the Switch which may be a good thing. I will say Sun/Moon is the worst entry in the series for me.
PoGo wise there is a rumour of a fire and ice event happening. Hopefully it'll mean I get a decent non 143cp Houndoom!

I'm still hoping for a Pokemon game with at least 4-5 different regions to come out one day. In a perfect world that's what they'd announce. But you could be right on it being stars. I agree Sun and Moon don't have much replay value, felt too much like kanto region part 2 for me just with an island twist. Didn't feel like a whole new region. Fun for 1 play through but not more.
I'd love a fire and ice event.
