Over The Limit 2012: Kofi & Truth VS Ziggler & Swagger [WWE Tag Team Championship]

WWE.com has announced that, for the first time in a while, the WWE Tag Team Championship will be defended at a ppv. At OTL, Truth & Kofi take on Dolph Ziggler & Jack Swagger. There haven't been any particular stipulations announced for the match, which there probably won't be in the end.

This, along with WWE asking fans to vote on Kofi & Truth's name, indicates that WWE might be getting back on track with more focus on the tag titles and tag team divison and general, like they were doing with Air Boom before Bourne's screw ups. As with the other matches announced so far, I don't expect any big surprises here, such as Truth & Kofi dropping the titles. I could be wrong, but I don't see it happening. Ziggler & Swagger are both talented wrestlers, Ziggler especially. While I'd love to see him move onto something better, as he's shown to have the ability to justify something better, Ziggler can be used to help build the credibility of the titles and get Kofi & Truth's run off to a solid start. Shit, it at least beats watching him used as fodder for the Funkasarus.

This match won't be nothing more than a solid filler match. The wwe tag titles are irrelevant as all wwe seems to do is throw two guys who aren't doing anything of note together and all of a sudden they become a team for a while win the tag titles, lose the tag titles and split up all within a short period. Ziggler is being wasted with swaggers and vickies boring asses when he should at least have a solid single feud with someone right now instead of getting squashed by that fucking dancing hippo.

Funny post Mr Mikey Mike.... I do agree that this could be just a filler and the two teams could end up no where. I can say that Ziggler and Swagger have been a decent team for I believe 8 or 9 months now and could be the team kicks off a falling division. I see Ziggler and Swagger going somewhere. These two could get the titles noticed a bit and I for one like this team. If their needs to be a name for a team it should be for Ziggler and Swagger. I hope Kofi and Truth drop the titles because it was pointless to give the titles to a team that no one can come up with a name for or have chemistry.

finally the tag titles get defend on PPV! i think this will be a pretty good match all four men are solid and we know how good ziggler is i cant see ziggler and swagger taking the tag titles so im gonna go with kofi and truth to retain here in a pretty good opening match to the PPV

I hope they run with this, they have a good chance to make the tag titles interesting for now. I'm hoping for a dirty finish, and for the feud to stretch a bit longer; heat it up some, get personal, introduce a story and flesh out the characters more. Way back when the tag division drew, teams would have a reason to face off other than trading the prop that is the belts around.
Now, I'm not saying Kofi and Truth should start putting Vickie through tables every week, but the state tag matches have been in recently this match will probably only get less than ten minutes at the PPV. But if it ended with a DQ or interference, it opens doors for plot development. You've got Primo and Epico supposedly part of a embryonic stable, the Usos floating round, plus Boom Truth (or whatever piss-poor name they'll end up with) and Zig-Swag (why not?), all of whom can put on a semi-decent match when pressed.
So keep the ball rolling, stick them all in a ladder match by Summerslam and see what the fuck happens. Throw it all the wall, something will stick. Creative needs to stop tucking its balls between its legs and just take a gamble with the tag-teams they have. They won't rebuild the division if the performers don't have chance to shine or show off their potential.

All I can hope that this is where Mr Ziggles dumps the dead weight....Swagger have dont NOTHING for him latley and he dont need her for heat anymore. Either go solo or join Team Johnny as his new chosen one

This is probably going to be the opener. Has Kofi and Truth's team gotten their name yet? I think they can and will become the sequel to Air Boom. The match itself should be alright, I am not expecting anything groundbreaking. Although I am getting sick of the Ziggler/Swagger team, at least we have a team for the champions to face. I would rather Ziggler be in singles action but he is needed in a tag team here, the giant pennies will never mean anything if the champions do not get some solid title defenses in. The champs (Air Truth?) will retain so that they can start off their reign strong. Ziggler hopefully moves on to a singles run away from Swagger after this. They can always throw together other guys. Swagger and Ziggler should not team anymore as it is holding Ziggler back from bigger and better things.

I agree hopefully this is the end of Swag/Ziggler.Ziggler> Swagger any day.When it comes to who I think is going to win this match I'm pretty sure Kofi and truth retain here for multiple reasons 1 of them being that epico and primo haven't gotten their rematch yet.

I hope the tag division can improve so much. I think this will open the show and will be fast paced and entertaining I hope kofi and truth retain and bring some legitimacy back to the tag division.
