12 Years a Slave is the right choice for Best Picture. I'm not sure a film like it has ever been made apart from maybe Schindler's List. Classy move by Brad Pitt to let Steve McQueen accept the Oscar.

Only surprise of the night for me was McConughey winning the Oscar. Thought for sure it would go to 12 Years a Slave guy whose name I'm not going to bother trying to spell (and I'm too lazy to look up).

'Poor Leo' is a top trend at the moment, the internet just doesn't care who wins any more, they just want DiCaprio to win one. He's the Daniel Bryan of the film industry.
