So Argo or Lincoln?
How the fuck does Argo win all these awards, yet Affleck didn't get nominated? That makes zero sense.
Thought Michele Obama announcing the winner would have meant Lincoln, but no, Ben Affleck won the Oscar for Best Picture. And DESERVED it.
Ben Affleck. He of Jersey Girl.
Is Ben coked up too?!
Beasts Of The Southern Wild is overrated. And they could've removed David O. Russell from the Best Director category to make room for Ben, because Playbook was driven by great performances, not directing.
And of Pearl Harbor.
Afleck gets Best Picture to go with his Best Original Screenplay Oscar. Now he gets to go home and sleep next to Jennifer Garner.
Luckiest man alive?
Miz of all people is still with Mayrse, so I'd have to say no.
Well, after about ten years of saying I don't care for Seth McFarlane's humor when it comes to animation, I now have a different perspective of him: I also don't care for his hosting abilities. I just don't get the massive appeal of the guy. His stuff makes me laugh maybe once every hour and a half and that's about it.
They could always just add him to the list. Granted these are the Academy Awards so I'm sure there's some issue with a movie from seven years ago that determines that we can't have Affleck get nominated for both.
Garner > Maryse. I'm not a blondes guy.
It felt like MacFarlane was trying REALLY hard to be too edgy, and his sense of humor didn't do anything for me.
Are you talking about Gigli? If so, it's a miracle he recovered from that abomination (yes it's one those movies that are as bad as the critics make it out to be). And now he's rising up in the ranks as one of the most praised directors in all of cinema. Amazing.
It helps if you're funny in the first place instead of thinking *character* + *strange noun* *oddly connected action* = comedy.
Hypothetical movie. I'm saying the Academy has these weird rules where they think they can't give the same people Oscars in back to back years for some reason.
I prefer dark hair or red. Never gotten the appeal of blondes
Yeah, I get what you're saying. I THINK Tom Hanks won back to back for Philadelphia and Forrest Gump. There are other back to back winners, but that's not on my list off the top of your head knowledge.
The airhead thing has something do with it, right? Usually, that's one of the common answers.
Seth, with this "too soon" and Mel Gibson jokes, thought people were shocked with his act and that's why they didn't laugh, but really it's because those jokes were NOT FUCKING FUNNY.
One of the worst hosts ever.
Happy for Argo though I was pulling for Zero Dark Thirty. Ang Lee? Okay, you snubbed Affleck, Bigelow, and Tarantino, bring up Spielberg's hopes, but give it to Lee's weakest movie. Whatever. The rest of it was okay. They really need to do something different though. The show is really hard to get through.
