By what I read, it sounds like there was a fight going on, but the person who killed Bin Laden had no clue it was him, and that they found him while going through the bodies. In fact, he allegedly died back on April 24th. But they're not sure if it was a missile or gunshot that killed him, the guy who killed him could be dead himself.

That would be pretty cool though. It also DID happen at a mansion.
