[Official] WrestleMania XXV Discussion

WrestleMania 25 is the silver anniversary for the biggest wrestling event of the year. With that said I would like to see some of wrestling's biggest stars from the past compete against today's and tommorow's star's for one historic card. This is complete fantasy and not my prediction, although some matches are possible ,it still is wishful thinking.

Match 1 - *6 Man Money in the Bank Ladder Match*

Jeff Hardy vs Matt Hardy vs Edge vs Christian vs Shelton Benjamin vs Mick Foley

Winner: Shelton Benjamin

+Match 2 - *Title Unification Match* WWE & World Tag Team Championship

++++Match 8 - *Title Unification* WWE & World Heavyweight Championship
Triple Threat Match

Triple H w/ Ric Flair vs HBK w/ JBL vs The Undertaker w/ Paul Bearer

Winner: The Undertaker (WWE Champion)

**Note**
As you can see this would be the end of the brand extension and all titles are unified. There will now be one roster and two tv shows (RAW & Smackdown!) with ECW retired. All legends that competed are one night only appearances. I hope you enjoyed and would love to hear your feedback. Thanks!

+ World Tag Team Championship Retired
++ Divas Championship Retired
+++ U.S. Championship Retired
++++ World Heavyweight Championship Retired

Here's where I see things going as of now:

Undertaker vs HBK. It's going to happen. My guess is that JBL will start becoming merciless towards HBK and throw him into ridiculous and unfair matches as a way to blame HBK for losing against Cena. JBL will want to be known as the guy who ends the Undertaker's streak, but in the process will become injured and will have HBK go up against the Undertaker and attempt to take all the credit. HBK superkicks JBL after beating the Undertaker at WM and a feud starts between them afterwards.

John Cena vs. Randy Orton. Ehhhhhhh I've seen it happen already, but I suppose it will be a good match. Here's an interesting twist though. Apparently, both titles will be defended in the elimination chamber match at No Way Out, meaning that the winner will be the "undisputed" champion. John Cena will win that, but Randy Orton will defeat him at WM. Better yet, following the loss, there will be a Cena beatdown involving not only the legacy, but other generational stars as a way to create a massive stable of legacy members with their leader, Randy Orton, as the number one guy. If he unified the titles, that would be even more spectacular.

Mickey Rourke vs Chris Jericho. I don't know how that will start but I am not surprised that Rourke is being brought into this. With his movie being a big hit and his career revitalized, it should come to no shock that he would be involved in WM. I'm sure this will be built um nicely and should culminate to be an interesting match.

Matt Hardy vs. Jeff Hardy. This should be interesting and they've had it coming for a long time. I get the feeling that Matt will bring Christian in as his sort of hitman and as the guy who's been making Jeff's life a living hell. Jeff will wrestle Christian at No Way Out, and Christian will screw Matt over at WM making him face.

Edge vs. Triple H. Ok so going with this whole idea that the titles are unified, these two are gonna be feuding quite a bit. Whether or not a title is involved, there is a feud in the works. There's this whole thing between Triple H and Vickie right now and it's quite possible that Edge is fed up. Let's see where that goes.

In terms of other matches, I'd like to see Cryme Time come out as Tag champs, Rhodes and Dibiase as the other Tag champs, R Truth as US title, CM Punk still as IC champ, MVP win the MitB, and maybe Evan Bourne win the ECW championship if he returns in time for WM.

These 2 matches just for fun:

Hogan vs. Austin. It won't happen. No shot in hell. Nevertheless I would love to see it.

Vince vs. Ultimate Warrior. Again, no chance. But then again, you never know. The whole Mcmahon injury with the million dollar shit is still a bit mysterious...

Man, people are really throwing out some random stuff and trying to go for "personal fantasy" rather than "realistic WWE booking" lol. Mickey Rourke mentions Y2J and people automatically assume he's gonna be wrestling him? Eve being thrown into the women's spot at WrestleMania when we've been hearing that she can't even do a proper clothesline?

Anyway, WrestleMania XXV is really going back and forth with its predictions due to the contradictory rumors we're being thrown. In some ways, that's good. Everybody was expecting Christian to return at the Royal Rumble and he didn't, so when Matt turned heel, it was a surprise. I'm not bashing the internet rumor mill concept really, but at times, its nice to be mislead and shocked rather than just told "X is gonna do blah blah tonight" and then sitting down to watch it.

So we've had a lot of rumors flying around recently and we can't be all too sure as to what the WWE is sticking to and what's just flat out hearsay. Christian may be returning, but how so? One minute Austin isn't wrestling, then he might be taking on Hogan, then he's not, then Hogan might be involved but not wrestling, etc. Now Mickey Rourke is supposed to show up, but at what capacity? Hell, with the McMahon storyline, we don't even know if Orton will be getting his title shot at all. And then you have to factor in that the WWE advertised that both the WWE and WHC titles would be DEFENDED in Elimination Chambers at No Way Out, rather than just having it so Smackdown would have a chamber match to determine the #1 contender at WrestleMania....

This week should answer a lot of questions.

Im not knocking nobodys choice of a WM25 line up,even some that look like theyre ,playing the new WM game already.
If ever there was a great opportunity to have legends & superstars past & present clash on the same bill its WM25 but I fear it seams even in the WWE Universe .reality is biting.
Vince has got three brands to pay for.TNA.NWA & now ROH nibblling at his TV toes with shows of their own.& has got rid of some of the undercard & his chauffeurs to keep afloat. He needs an expensive extravaganza like a boot to the head!
Im sure legends will be there,Hall of Famer wise but I feel theyll wave to the crowd in their best suit rather than rassle.Who could anyway, from what I hear Hogans pimping his daughter now that Gladiators is finished,Rocks making Disney movies,& Foley, dont mention Foley to Vince just now.
Sorry but I guess I was looking for a bit more from the RR.It seamed the shape of whats to come, three brands mixed with RVD who just lives down the road.
Im sure it,ll be a great show but I fear Vince,ll make do with what he,s got , rather than have the all time tournament of champions we all would like.

I think it may head in this sort of direction but not sure, as WWE always seems to surprise with something at WM whether that be Battle of the Billionaires or Mayweather vs. Big Show. Something that we couldn't previously infer without spoilers...

WWE Championship
Special Guest Referee: Vince Mcmahon

John Cena (c) vs. Randy Orton
Just an idea with the whole Mcmahon/Orton feud. This can possibly be Orton vs Vince in one of those classic No Holds Barred/Street Fight type of matches with Shane, Vince, Steph, Priceless and even Cowboy Bob Orton getting involved- or make this match No DQ's and fool around to make it a fun match, although at WM we usually AIM for WRESTLING matches for titles. Would be better as Orton vs Vince with a totally separate title match

Matt Hardy vs. Jeff Hardy

World Tag Team Titles
Miz/Morrison vs. Priceless vs. Cryme Tyme (possibly fatal 4 way vs. Manu/Sim Snuka.
Then it can end with Priceless winning over Manu/Sim Snuka, to help build up possible interferences for the Orton/Vince match.

Money in the Bank Ladder Match
MVP vs. Shelton Benjamin vs. Kofi Kingston vs. Mr. Kennedy vs. Mysterio vs. Evan Bourne (if he is cleared to wrestle)

Teddy Long Presents the New Superstar Initiative ECW Championship Open
Jack Swagger vs. Ricky Ortiz vs. Chavo Guerrero vs. The Boogeyman vs. DJ Gabriel vs. Mark Henry
6 man gauntlet style match where participants enter in the order which they are listed above, and with Teddy Long at ringside, after the match ends, Tommy Dreamer's music hits and he is granted a title match as the 7th participant (possibly under extreme rules) to allow him to win the title and celebrate in tears, or to lose and continue on his road to retirement if that's where he and WWE wish to go with this storyline

quick thing i was thinking.......

If they dont put christian in a triple threat with hunter vs edge which does not really make any sense, then i was thinking they should have christian vs the big show. No, it wont be a great match but a good way to put cage over and get big show involved.

heres what I think we will probably see;

WWE Title:
John Cena (c) vs. Randy Orton (vs. Batista)
I have a sneaking suspicion that Batista's injury isn't as bad as it was made out to be. Cena and Orton had parts in puting him out so why not??

World Championship:
Edge (c) vs. Triple H
Yeah, pretty boring probably, two good wrestlers, if this was built up properly then it could lead to a good match. Perhaps add No DQ last minute by Vickie??

ECW Championship:
Jack Swagger (C) vs. Boogeyman
Odd I know, but I think we will see Swager go over Finlay at No Way Out, Boogeyman was involved with Swagger on this weeks ECW so I can see that happening. Boogeyman has never had a title run either so it could well happen.

Tables, Ladders and Chairs:
Matt Hardy vs Jeff Hardy
Absolute classic, 'nuff said.

Streak vs Streak:
Vladamir Kozlov vs. The Undertaker
Undefeated vs Undefeated. Either that or HBK vs Taker, but I don't see it some how, I think either of this matches have good draws. Plus the Taker/HBK has the tradition of Smackdown vs RAW match as well? So Could go either way.

Money in the Bank: William Regal vs. Ken Kennedy vs. Brian Kendrick vs. Shelton Benjamin vs. Evan Bourne vs. Chavo Guerrero vs. Mike Knox vs. Kofi Kingston
Yeah..others likely, Miz, MVP, Punk, R-Truth.

Chris Jericho vs Mickey Rourke w/ Ric Flair
Flair will either be referee or in Rourke's corner.

John "Bradshaw" Layfield vs Shawn Michaels
If Taker/Michaels doesn't happen this is an obvious alternative.

Theses matches are more unlikely to happen but some I want too see and some I can see happening after a while.

Women's Battle Royal
Both titles on the line, two champions begin. Elimination by pinfall/submission. Last two standing have two decisions one for Women's Title and one for Diva's Championship. Perhaps see Gail Kim debut? Would be nice to see Natalya win a title. Whoever poses for Playboy will most likely have the biggest push towards the event.

8 Team Cross-Brand Supremacy Match
Miz & Morrison vs. Primo & Carlito vs. Cryme Tyme vs. Priceless vs. Jesse & Festus vs. Sim Snuka & Manu vs. Hakwins & Ryder vs. Finlay & Hornswoggle
Finlay/Hornswoggle a maybe but I thought as there were 3 RAW and 3 SD teams maybe ECW needed at least 2.

For WrestleMania 25, I like the idea of Shawn Michaels vs. The Undertaker. It's been teased in a few Royal Rumbles and this time they actually had a backstage segment. I know it wasn't much of one, but the Rumble is usually where the build up starts for these matches. These two guys would put on and awesome match, even at their age. Both these guys are from Texas and very over when they come here. I think that if they do have a match, it doesn't even have to be a grudge match. It can be a friendly, good ole wrestling match and the crowd would love it. I know I would. I like the idea for the match a whole lot, but with Undertaker and his storyline, and HBK with his storyline, I don't see how it would happen. But it would be great if it does.

I would love to have the hardys go out it for the title. It would just be sick. A truly great main event.....

And then put Triple H vs Edge on teh undercard. I really don't get why the WWE would not do this. They really think ratings would plummet if they didnt put the title on Triple H.....Thats the one thing I dont understand, Triple H has not proven in the last 5 years to be a ratings booster...Cena has, Triple H is not. Why not just lay off him.

Perhaps, it will be the ultimate Inter-Brand Power struggle, who would be the only man that could possibly be an enforcer/referee for that match? Texas' three best exports.

Shawn Michaels vs The Undertaker
Special Referee: Stone Cold Steve Austin

I know that alot can change between now and Wrestlemania, but at the moment I see the card shaping up to be:

Jeff Hardy vs Matt Hardy
- This one could open the show, like Eddie/Rey did a few years ago. Both are big names, and would put on a solid opener. The only thing I'm not sure of at this point is whether or not there will be a stipulation involved.

CM Punk vs Kofi Kingston vs Rey Mysterio vs John Morrison vs The Miz vs MVP vs Shelton Benjamin vs The Brian Kendrick (money in the bank)
- I'm not sure if there's gonna be 6 or 8 wrestlers involved so I'll assume 8. I think MVP is a lock to win it this year, if they can get more fans behind him by this point. A darkhorse to win would be Morrison, because I get the feeling they're going to break he and the miz up soon. Evan Bourne or Vladimir Kozlov are also potential entrants, but I think all of the participants I listed are currently more over and likely to be in this match.

ECW Championship: Jack Swaggah vs Tommy Dreamer
- It's clear they are going to give Dreamer a belt chasing storyline sometime soon, and with no brand carrying faces on ECW anymore it makes sense for this to happen now (before Bourne comes back and goes after the title). I think they might actually give it to Dreamer, let him have his moment, only to have the match restarted and lose it back. Or he'll just lose it on the next ECW. Either way, fans would be pissed and it would really help out Swagger.

HBK (representing JBL) vs The Undertaker
- I know a lot of people were saying that Taker/HBK is unlikey now because of Shawn's program with JBL, but I think that building the storyline up to this makes perfect sense. JBL is pissed that Shawn hasn't helped him win the title, but he still gives him one last chance to earn all of his pay. All he has to do is beat The Undertaker... at Wrestlemania!!! Their may be a retirement stip attached to this, but I wouldn't bank on it. What I would bank on, is Shawn losing, JBL attacking Shawn post-match, Taker making the save and together he and Shawn leave JBL lying in the ring to massive ovation.

Womens title: Melina vs Beth Pheonix (Rosa/Santino suspended above ring?)
- They can keep this going until wrestlemania. I still have the feeling that Rosa is going to turn on Beth and align with Melina at some point leading up to this (maybe Santino too). If that's the case, Beth is face and Melina is heel, and I think we will get something entertaining or at least interesting.

World Heavyweight Title: John Cena vs Randy Orton with Vince McMahon as special guest referee.
- This could either be a straight up wrestling match that ends cleanly with McMahon celebrating with Cena. Or it could be a giant swerve, where Vince refuses to make the 3-count for Cena and joins Legacy by helping Randy win. I'm not totally looking forward to either option, but I think both are likely.

The only parts of the card I have no guesses about are the WWE Championship (with Edge on the verge of making a face turn, and a rumoured Christian return, I don't think anyone will be able to figure this one out before No Way Out) and the possible Rourke/Jericho match.

Alright. I love doing prediction cards. both what I want and what I think will happen. I have been doing it since is started watching. But you don't care. So let's get on to what I think they WILL put together for this years card.

John Cena vs Randy Orton. 1 on 1, this is the biggest and best match they can do for raw's title. With batista gone, they have to resort to this. Which is fine. I just read jericho MIGHT be considered for the main event, but I really do not want a triple threat match at all.

HHH vs Edge Self explanitory here. This is the biggest match they can do for smackdown. And it is fresh and new, save for the thrown together Bash main of 2008. With jeff and matt likely facing off, I will put my disdain for HHH aside and admit that he should main event against Edge here.

Matt Hardy vs. Jeff Hardy **Christian could be involved here.** Well executed turn and follow up promo by Matt. I think they can both carry this on and have a memorable fued heading in to Wrestlemania.

Shawn Michales vs Undertaker How do you not hold this battle of the Texans? Michaels always gets the match he wants at Mania, and he has apparantly pitched for this one. It is the 25th installment, and NO ONE wants to see JBL as Michales' oppponent. It will be the best opportunity for a Mania moment of sorts. Plus the crown reaction would be huge!

ECW Title: Jack Swagger vs Tommy Dreamer. What else can ECW do?

Rey Mysterio vs Chris Jericho These two haven't faced off in WWE. With Jericho's apparant departure from Micky Rourke and Rey's likelihood of receiving a high profile match, this would be interesting.

Big Show vs Khali I know this sucks, but I truly see the WWE pushing this.

Beth Phoenix vs. ?? I really hope Trish gets this slot, but i don't see it happening. And if she isn't in the match, I don't really care what the women's match is.

Dibiase, Rhodes, Miz, Morrison and Regal vs Jimmy Snuka, Dusty Rhodes, Ricky Steamboat, Ted Dibiase and Roddy Piper If a legends match happens, which I think there is a strong possibility, I see something lik this involving the two heel tag teams.

MITB Your typical 8 stars who don't have a match will be in here. MVP, Punk, kennedy, finlay, kane, umaga, knox, or any variation of 8 talent.

** IF Austin is to have some major involvement, which I think he should, I can see something between him and JBL. Two more texans going at it. Doesn't have to be an official match, but could be anything. If they go with Shawn and JBL, taker could face either kozlov or umaga... I would prefer umaga. **

So I don't know what to say about the rumor that austin may fight again. I am fine with it if done properly. So Austin fighting Orton, not sure how I feel about this. Could make sense storyline wise but if he faces austin, he needs to win. And if he does cant have cena vs jericho, i mean cmon, it would have to be cena vs undertaker. that is a big money match.

The other option is have Austin face jericho. Not really hard to make work and it would be the best possible match austin can have. Maybe have them face and rourke interferes and then has a beer with austin. That makes the most sense if he was to fight.....Most likely he will just ref in the orton-cena match.

Let me know what you guys think.

Triple H v. Edge
They've been on the same show since last year, but have never had a match together. In fact they've never even shared a ring with one another! Summer would have been a great time to have had this match, as this showdown could main event any PPV. A shame that tthe WWE never pulled the trigger until now.

Cena v. Orton
This is the most original on the rumoured card. These two have been on the same program for over two years, and yet fans have never seen these two in a WWE ring. Before Orton won his first WWE title, everyone was calling for these two to square off. A matchup like this could have easily became a multi PPV feud! well what they missed out on in the past, should make money in the near future. A true Wrestlemania original.

Undertaker v. Big Show
Never in Wrestlemania history have these two titans shared a ring. Add this to the list of firsts at WM XXV!

Jeff Hardy v. Matt Hardy
I had always wanted these guys to duke it out when they were running wild as Team Extreme. What would have been better is if Edge and Vicki made these two face off on Smackdown, but again, opportunity lost. It doens't matter now though, as we can count on another innovative confrontaion for the Wrestlemania card!

HBK v. JBL
I speak for all wrestling fans when I say NOBODY saw this coming! In a huge swerve, Shawn Michaels will take on his boss at No Way Out. What would be more of a shock is if this matchup carries over into ANOTHER match at Mania, but I think I'm pitching some far out ideas here.
There may be a Jericho match against some legend, or possibly Micky Rourke, but that's tripe garbage. The bright spot on this card will be the rumoured match between Dreamer and Sawgger; sure to be a bonafide barn burner.

Thanks for the memories WWE! Looking good!

Triple H v. Edge
They've been on the same show since last year, but have never had a match together. In fact they've never even shared a ring with one another! Summer would have been a great time to have had this match, as this showdown could main event any PPV. A shame that tthe WWE never pulled the trigger until now.

They had a main event championship match at the Great American Bash last year, where HHH beat Edge for absolutely no reason other than to give himself a major win after the draft and assert his dominance over the guy who had been carrying Smackdown for months on end. They should've just waited.

Undertaker v. Big Show
Never in Wrestlemania history have these two titans shared a ring. Add this to the list of firsts at WM XXV!

Haven't they had enough matches recently? I mean they've had 3 gimmick matches I think on top of normal matches. If Taker isn't going against HBK, I think its safe to say it'll be either Umaga or Kozlov.

HBK v.

So the WWE has a crappy match with the two at No Way Out to end the storyline and then has ANOTHER crappy match at WrestleMania and wastes time? That's definitely a far out idea to pitch lol. Can't see it happening at all.

Triple H v. Edge
They've been on the same show since last year, but have never had a match together. In fact they've never even shared a ring with one another! Summer would have been a great time to have had this match, as this showdown could main event any PPV. A shame that tthe WWE never pulled the trigger until now. !

umm never shared a ring..where were u when jeff hardy beat edge and triple H in the triple threat....however a one on one match is guarenteed to be good

Cena v.

needs to happen especially with the mcmahon storyline with it

Undertaker v. Big Show
Never in Wrestlemania history have these two titans shared a ring. Add this to the list of firsts at WM XXV!
[

Never in history umm wait didnt taker beat big show and A train in the squared circle at wrestlemania o ya...get ur facts right

[Jeff Hardy v. Matt Hardy
I had always wanted these guys to duke it out when they were running wild as Team Extreme. What would have been better is if Edge and Vicki made these two face off on Smackdown, but again, opportunity lost. It doens't matter now though, as we can count on another innovative confrontaion for the Wrestlemania card!
[

id like to see these two in a tlc match too bad there already is money in the bank

[HBK v.

HBK v. JBL is happening at NWO so im gunna go with not happening..JBL winning against HBK at NWO is a possiblility tho and then making him fight taker at wrestlemania..personally id love to see HBK v. Taker battle of texas

I think the core of the WrestleMania 25 card has now become pretty obvious. We are going to see Orton vs. Cena, possibly with some McMahon involvement. personally im hoping for a giant swerve in this match i think it definately needs it. We are going to get Triple H vs. Edge hopefully in the undercard and hopefully with a triple H loss. However i can see Orton beating Cena due to some McMahon swerve because Orton has become so huge recently and is really the main focus of RAW, and i dont think they will want to have two heels winning title matches at mania.

We have the Hardy vs. Hardy match obviously. I have been wanting to see this match i think it will be pretty good but WWE really needs to make it a gimmick match to allow these two to reach their full potential. I think if it is just a normal match it will be a disappointment to most fans. Im hoping for a NO DQ or Extreme Rules or Hardcore Match or Falls Count Anywhere or Street Fight or Belfast brawl or a Rat on a pole match or some sort of fucking hardcore match. It wont be ladder or TLC for obvious reasons but that doesnt mean ladders wont get busted out along with other weapons. This one can go either way, i just want to see jeff hardy jump off of some shit.

Then we are gonna get the Undertaker vs. Michaels match. This somehow will relate to jibble which i think is really fucking stupid. Instead of doing this dumbass story with michaels and jibble now they should have focussed on just building the collision between michaels and Undertaker. They could have done the jibble storyline after mania. I think it takes away from the match personally and i think the match doesnt need it but wut the fuck does TheNextVinceRusso know anyways.

Then we got the Money In the Bank and due to the big steaming sesspool of unused midcarders and phony main eventers they will have 8 people in this match and try to squeeze as many people on the card as possible. This match has a lot of potential ,they could put some really great talent in there i just hope to God Mike Knox isnt slotted in. The match should be decent, the guys in this match take more bumps than Scott Hall takes pills so it should be entertaining.

This brings me to the whole Jericho, Ric Flair and Mickey Rourke saga. It will be a travesty if they let Ric Flair wrestle again, it will completely tarnish the best wrestlemania moment they had in years and ruin his great send off, but they are dumb so they could very well have him step in the ring to wrestle. I think it is more likely however that it will be Jericho vs. Rourke and Flair will be in Rourkes corner.

In my opinion it would just be a better idea to have Mickey Rourke pin Eric Bischoff in a tag team match to become the new world champion.

it may be completely out of the picture, but some people on these boards have mentioned how they think JR constantly saying Stone cold will never wrestle again is a lie.

Ric Flair is going to induct him into the HOF, can you guys see Flair bringing that up in his promo on Monday and Jericho somehow talking trash about Austin, leading to his inevitable involvement in the PPV itself?

Jericho needs a match. Rourke won't do it and we all hope Flair stays out of the ring. So whos left? Piper? Please no.

John Cena vs. Randy Orton
I think either just before or during this match Stephanie will turn out to be working alongside Randy Orton. She used him to get rid of her Dad and Brother (I assume Shane will be punted at No Way Out), so she can run Raw on her own. I envisage with her help Orton becoming champion.

Edge vs. Triple H
I reckon it will come down to these two in the No Way Out elimination chamber, Edge will get a cheap victory setting up the match. I see Edge winning here too, with help from Christian.

The Undertaker vs. Shawn Michaels
They're gonna do JBL/HBK at No Way Out, so that leaves Shawn to face the Deadman. Undertaker to go 17-0 in a match of the year contender.

Chris Jericho vs. Steve Austin
Looks like the Jericho/Rouke match has fallen through and hopefully they won't bring Flair out of retirement. Perhaps Jericho's issues with Hall of Famers will vex Austin, having him challenge Jericho to a match. If not then Mr. Kennedy would be a suitable replacment being that he's recently starred in a flim they could do some sort of link to Rouke. Jericho to lose regardless of his oppenant.

Matt Hardy vs. Jeff Hardy
Bound to happen. Hope Matt gets a clean pinfall win, getting him over, like they did with Bret vs. Owen at Mania 10.

Money in the bank: Rey Mysterio v. CM Punk v. Cody Rhodes v. Ted Dibase v. Shelton Benjamin v. MVP v. Evan Boune v. John Morrison
I'll go for Dibase to win and turn on Orton later in the year.

Jack Swagger v. Tommy Dreamer
Swagger to win, Dreamer approaches retirment

Also there will be some sort of womens match and probably a battle royal- perhaps an immunity battle royal would be good to get all the other guys in who have nothing to do- Umaga, Kane, JBL, Big Show, Khali, Knox, Kozlov, Finlay, Carlito, Primo, R-Truth, Miz, Kingston, Chavo, Santino, etc. Umaga to win and go on and fued with The Undertaker.

I've said before (in other threads) that I believe that there's no way we're not going to see cena main event the raw side and HHH main event the smackdown side at wrestlemania. Which means that Cena is likely to retain in the elimination chamber, and face orton at wrestlemania. I still think this will be the case.

On the smackdown side I am thinking maybe something a little different than what I've said before and I don't think it's been mentioned yet. HHH is going to main event smackdown, and probably his opponent will be edge. But I'm thinking that maybe big show will be thrown into the mix too and it will be a triple threat match. The reason I'm thinking this may happen will be:

1. There won't be 2 "1-on-1 only" main title defenses at the same wrestlemania.
2. It gives big show something credible to do at the pay per view....because what else is there really for him at this point?
3. It seems like lately on smackdown they've kind of teased the idea that he doesn't care for either edge or HHH, so a triple threat might fit him well.

Also, on another topic I'm willing to guess that Punk will not be in money in the bank this year. Instead, he should be in an intercontinental title match against JBL. That way, they'll both have something to do at the pay per view, and JBL is more suited for a midcard title hunt anyway.

John Cena vs. Randy Orton
C'mon we have seen this one coming with our eyes closed.
Edge vs. Triple H
I reckon it will come down to these two in the No Way Out elimination chamber, Edge will get a cheap victory setting up the match. I see Edge winning here too, with help from Christian.

The Undertaker vs. Shawn Michaels
I would like to see Taker win the match then have JBL trying to talk slap HBK around, and Stone Cold run out and give him a stunner, then Undertaker give him a tombstone and finally HBK gives him Sweet Chin Music. Through in a beer bash with the three Texan legends standing over JBL's broken body and we have us a Wreslemania moment.

Chris Jericho Highlight Reel
w/ Special guest Mickey Rourke and RVD
RVD finally comes back and frog splashes Y2J starting a great feud of WRESTLING!!!!

Matt Hardy vs. Jeff Hardy
Bro vs Bro Grudge Match maybe have Christian in the corner of Matt Hardy W25 that would be a interesting twist of fate.

Money in the bank: Rey Mysterio v. CM Punk v. Cody Rhodes v. Ted Dibase v. Shelton Benjamin v. MVP v. Evan Boune v. Kofi Kingston
Evan Bourne for the win, so he can be the new it guy for ECW, and we can start watching the f'n program again in this recession.

Jack Swagger v. Tommy Dreamer
Dreamer of Swagger in an extreme rules bout with Dreamer being a bloody mess then having him lose it to Evan Bourne at One Night Stand and finally retire that disgusting fat body of his.

3 Way Dance Tag Match:
WWE Tag Champs vs World Tag Champs vs The Great Khali and The Big Show. Khali and Show becoming new champs they've got to do something with these guys.

Divas Champ vs Womens Champ Brand Supremacy

Well its pretty safe to say that 4 of the 8 matches are already decided:

WWE Championship: Edge vs. HHH (uugghh..)
World Heavyweight Championship: John Cena vs. Randy Orton
Undertaker vs. HBK
Jeff Hardy vs. Matt Hardy

We know there will be a roughly 5 minute long women's match, and it really doesn't matter who is involved. Anyway, that makes 5, and WrestleMania usually has 8 matches...9 if they cut down on the promos.

That leaves 3 or 4 matches left.

One of them is going to be the Money in the Bank. *More on this later.*

If you eliminate the people from above and you eliminate the people that have are so unimportant that they have absolutely zero chance of having a match focused around them (like DJ Gabriel, Ricky Ortiz, Jesse & Festus, etc), you've got the following list of people that are important enough to be involved in WMXXV: Chris Jericho, Jack Swagger, Rey Mysterio, Mr. Kennedy, John Morrison, Shelton Benjamin, MVP, the Miz, Kane, CM Punk, Finlay, Cody Rhodes, Ted DiBiase, Kofi Kingston, Evan Bourne (assuming he's not injured), JBL, Umaga, Big Show, and Vladimir Kozlov.

That's a hell of a lot of people that you have to account for with only the MITB and 2 other matches. The MITB takes up 8 of those, but you've still got 11 left, and if the 2 other matches are singles matches, then you're still missing room for 7 wrestlers.

To an extent, you can assume that Rhodes and DiBiase won't be in anything unless its in the Money in the Bank, but there are bigger names that could fill in that spot, allowing Rhodes and DiBiase to simply walk out with Randy Orton during his match.

At the same time, I've got a great feeling that Jack Swagger won't be defending his ECW title at WrestleMania. I just can't see it happening. But, if he does, the state of ECW is dictating something I said in another thread: Finlay/Swagger is happening now and they won't have a rematch at WM, Dreamer's storyline doesn't culminate until June so it'd be stupid for them to jump right to the end now, and there aren't any other people on ECW to challenge for it on such a big ppv, so by default, either Swagger doesn't defend his title and isn't on the card (or is in a tag team match of some sort with lots of people), or he's defending it against someone that is big enough to be able to warrant a challenge. The only people that I can think of throwing in that position are Kennedy, MVP, and Mysterio.

The Money in the Bank is something that is a savior to the 19 people that have nothing yet - but even with the 8 slots, you know that some of them are already filled. Morrison and Shelton are gimme participants, and you could safely assume that The Miz is going to be a participant this year as well. I can't see Big Show, Kozlov, Umaga, or JBL being a part of this match, but we have seen Finlay and Kane involved in it before. Kingston, Bourne, Punk, Kennedy, MVP, Mysterio, and Jericho could all fit in here, but I tend to think Jericho will get his own singles match.

So who is getting left out? Finlay, JBL, Kozlov, Big Show, Umaga...?

just a thought wouldnt it be amazing if WWE pulled out something big for wrestle mania 25 like christen return to the company and have him team up with jeff hardy to take on matt hardy and edge in a TLC match that be neat noticing there teaming matt and edge up during house shows soon

I think Flair is gonna get with a new up and comer like Kofi or a MEer like Rey to train them to beat Chris in a match at WM 25. At first I would say Mickey Rouke but that ship has sail so I will go ahead and out Chris for that or MITB. Speaking of MITB M.V.P. will win this year and set up a heel HHH by SS and will take the title from him I really have no other choices to win MITB than him expect maybe Kane he could finally show his purpose in the ring and go for the WHC and take it away from Orton or Cena for some good long feuds at least to 2010 while he could go for WWE title and face HHH,Edge,Jeff, and Undertaker now that would put some asses in some seats.

I know most think that Undertaker v. HBK will happen but I just don't see it. Me personally, I would rather see Undertaker v. Jericho. If Mickey Roarke isn't going to be at WM, I don't see anything for Jericho besides Money In the Bank. I don't think he is going to be in that so what better way than to go against the Undertaker in a first-ever matchup to my knowledte. I think the buildup will be better and if Jericho beats Taker, he can boast about being the only main-eventer Taker's never beaten.
