To Y 2 Jake- The Edge and Cena feud was bullshit. They kept it going and going. They couldn't have Edge send him to SD! they had to give Cena back the title because Cena is superman. All Cena has going for him is Mic Skills and Charisma. In ring he is boring. Did you not hear the ECW Fans? I'm glad he got all those chants. ''Same old Shit''. When you chant shit like that towards him he starts trying new things to shut the fans up. He stole all credibility from Edge. Making it seem like Edge has to cheat to beat Cena.

They kept it going because they had chemistry although I do adimit it went on too long. The ECW fan's were chanting ''same old shit'' and Cena played it up beautifully. He was taking his time doing his same old tired move's and the crowd ate it up. The 5-Knuckle Shuffle almost had the crowd throwing there seat's in the ring with anger.That was R.V.D's night and Cena realised it. He knew he was going to ged booed out of the building. Watch his face when he was booed during his feud with Ang;le. He look's like he does'nt know what to do. With the R.V.D feud he realised that there was no need to try and be a babyface because it was pointless. While I'm not a Cena fan I apreciate that while he's a bad wrestler he at least put's in 100% unlike Big Dave.

John Cena is only appealing to some fans tastes because they have warped the fan's minds enough to make them believe he is a quality wrestler. We see the same old shit each week and we don't need to see him as champion. Anymore. He had his go and he failed, so until he shows some god damn initiative and tells himself that he can't wrestle for shit, I don't think he deserves to be main eventing people 10 times his better. It's a waste of talent and an insult to former champions to see this guy run over competition like he is something special. Get him back to the mid cards WWE, because there is no reason that he can't try to better himself, which he desperately needs to, in that part of the show. Save the title for guys who are different and great each week, not guys who are indifferent in everything they do and can't wrestle to save their life other than to impress some 5 year old fans whose perspective of wrestling is laughable to us.

I think the main thing with John Cena is that he has been on top for too long now i mean think back to his win over JBL at WM21 to now he has been WWE Champion all this time except for what about a little less than 4 months with out the title. Cena was ok on Smackdown as at frist his as mid-carder with the US Championship, and personally i had no problems with him holding the US title as that was where he belonged...I was ok at frist with im being Champion as JBL regin was a lil too long fo rhim. Yet when Cena wouldn't lose it and you begin to see the real flaws in his game againts the likes of Y2J, Christian, Angle. And i really felt that WWE was gonna give him a little regin and then lose it to Angle at Unforgiven 2005. Oh no that was not the case as we all know now that the real reason that Angle was drafter to RAW was to put over Cena and really make him look like a true champion etc. all that stuff that Cena is not!! No Cena wins and wins and loses at the belt to Edge at NYR 2006 yet to only win it back at RR 2006. Yet then he makes HHH tap out at WM22...and i still ca not belive that HHH agreed to tap out to Cena at WM22 or go along with Vince plan. Cena finally loses the belt at ECW One Night Stand 2006. and so from WM21 to ECW ONS 06 he held the belt all for except 3 weeks WTH!!!! I wont even dare go on about how the whole Edgeand Cena fued went as Vince made Edge look weak as he had to cheat to win all the time and from that that try and make Cena look unstoppable as the only way Cena loses is they cheat to beat him...What a bunch of BS....in all i feel WWE needs to get that damn belt off him and let him be a mid-carder for a while i mean in tha ttime maybe he can learn to expnad his moveset and become a better wrestler...yet we prolly wont as he is the hero to all those brainwashed idots out there who cheer and boo who WWE wants them too and not boo and cheer based on the skills as in mic, wrestling, and able to sell a story..

well Cena has great mic skills and he fights hard although he can't wrestle. I don't dislike him because he is entertaining sometimes and his mic skills are good IMO.

his mic skills are absoloutaly wank, he goes waaaaay over the top and his face goes like a gooseberry. Go look at Christian Cage now or look back at some tapes of the rock and comapare them on the mic to John Cena. Look Cena had some great promos IMO and he's not all that bad. I knwo the Rock, Christian, Jericho, and all those guys have better mic skills but Cena can definitely talk on the mic. And does it really matter what his afce looks like when he talks duke?

John Cena is laughable in the ring, and since he stopped rapping, he sucks on the mic as well.
His new marine gimmick is the worst.
I think he gets most of his pops from little kids and especially women.
I was at a live event just a few days ago and there was this dude that said "Hell, Cena never does anything good" and the response from his girlfriend was "I don't care if he does anything good, I just want to see him"! I get sick of his pretty boy gimmick, and the fact that he holds the tag team titles with HBK sucks because Cena couldn't hold HBK's jock!
I pretty much laughed off No Way Out's main event as well, with Cena beating the Undertaker with the crappy "FU", Yeah Right!
Thats just fine though, because HBK will will take the WWE Title, and Undertaker will take the WHC at mania.
The era of crappy wrestlers and boring entertainers as champion will finally be over!

If you think Cena is good...then you are an idiot. You are a brainwashed if you think Cena is good and believe all the WWE's bullshit to hype him up. Cena fans probably still believe in Santa, The Easter Bunny, and Tooth Fairy because they believe in all that Chaingang and Marine crap. I mean please guys, the guy has zero-charisma, looks like a tortoise in the ring, and his gimmicks are borderline awful. i have watched pretty much every match Cena has competed in and the only match i can think of where he looked even half decent was Cena vs Lesnar at Bad blood 2003 (i think), the guy cant wrestle, and guys like him are the cancer in profesinal wrestling, until the WWE shifts the balance to performers who actualy look good in the ring, and have some athleticism rather than guys who join Vince's (real life) kiss my arse club then the WWE will continue to alienate the true wrestling fans.

everyone seems to talk bad about cena left right and centre. yet no one hardly talks bad about batista(i know its a cena thread but everywhere im talking about on this site and everywere in general) cmon im not saying cena is good he is far from that, but he is way better than batista cmon u have to agree with me!!! cena has way better mic skills than batista and a least tries in the ring to imporve while batista on the other hand doesnt do those things. so why do people hate cena so much and dont say anything about batista compared to cena????

I believe there are just as many Cena haters as there are Batista, but I think we have more reasons to hate Cena than we do Batista and Cena is a much bigger star than Batista is so that's why you get so many Cena haters and not as many Batista haters, but you will struggle to find someone who likes Batista on here. Fact is that Batista is about on the same level as Cena in regards to everything and he is worse at times so you do have a point, but Cena has just been there too long and we have built up a lot of hatred whereas Batista is just a terrible wrestler who is only starting to get on peoples nerves with his title reign now. Both guys stopped trying to improve after they got popular, so I don't think that Cena puts much of an effort in, in that regard. But again, Cena is probably the lesser of two evils but we just like to talk about hating him more than we do Batista.

I've had it with all this "Cena cant wrestle" crap.The reason he has low-spot/low-impact matches,is the same reason Stone Cold & the Rock had to tone it down when the became huge stars:The cant risk injury! When you are the biggest draw on the card,especially on RAW(as Cena clearly is) you cant be jumping of the stage and going through tables evry week becasue the show will suffer if you get injured.

John Cena versus Edge was good TV. Now they are just dragging it out. I like Cena, I also compare him to the Rock, but it seems that Vince and the WWE cant come up with the right scenario for him to lose the title. Giving the title to HBK is the worst thing they could ever do!!!! Though it wouldn't hurt Cena to actually act like a wrestler. Flying shoulder blocks and really bad looking punches look really fake.

See this is the arguement Cena fans use that they've 'toned down' his moveset. The fact is though whether you like it or not is that hes never been good in the ring, hes been carried his entire career by more athletic, more experianced wrestlers. So dont you dare compare Cena to the Rock, the Rock was the GREATEST smack talker of all time, and you will find few who disagree. You say VInce feeds them the lines, that is not true if youd watched some inside wrestling programes you would know that they will be told the jist of what they have to say, but they and someone from the training team will usually make and reherse the promo. So Cena wil lactualy have some influence on what is said, also true great people on the mic react to how the fans react. Cena cannot do this because he is too slow to think of witty remarks, comebacks etc. And its not even nessierly the actual content its the way he delivers it, he goes wayyy over the top, and like ive said his face goes all red and it just makes me laugh and i cant take anything he says seriously. And the rock always looked alryt in the ring, Cena always looks uncomfortable and stiff to say the least.

Cena is over rated. I liked him alot as a mid carder, and his blue chipper gimmick. Now...like 2 years later..he's held the WWE Belt (3?) times already, surpassing actual good wrestlers such as Edge, Triple H and others. The rapping was always entertaining, but now he hasn't done it AT ALL. It's just so bland, and so stale, it makes me sick. They are pushing this guy to be the next Hulk Hogan, and it's just not working. But for VINCE..IT IS! Let's face it. Cena sells merchandise. Vince likes money. In order for Cena to continue selling merchandise, he has to be on top of the mountain. The man is just a bad wrestler though.

So as far as wrestling goes, he sucks. Mic skills lately, he sucks. Charisma plays a part, but if the character is as stale as Cena's is, it doesn't really matter how charasmatic he is because it's the same thing every time.

first of all cena maybe doesnt deserve so much heat but he has been pushed to the moon for like 2 1/2 years now and it gets borin, secondly he doesnt have loads of moves but hogan never did but the thing is that both hogan and cena were pushed as vince's golden boys, next i would like to say that a lot of wrestlers have a finishing sequence not just bret hart, shawn michaels has one which he does constantly (forearm, kip up, atomic drops, scoop slam, elbow drop, and sweet chin music), cena has his, hogan has his when he hulks up and punches then he does big boot and leg drop, finally vince made him the man and people care about his matches either when they want him to win or lose, unlike someone like charlie haas or eugene who no one gives a shit about.
so when it comes down to it, cena does his job and gets people to watch him whether they watch him to boo him or cheer for him.
