[Official] Harthan is more badass than you via ponies, magic, and stuff.

I'll throw my hat into this ring with some of my personal favorite fights 3ish years.

Randy Couture vs. Big Nog-UFC 102
Paul Kelley vs. Dennis Siver-UFC 105
Wanderlei Silva vs. Michael Bisping-UFC 110
Kendall Grove vs. Mark Munoz-UFC 112
Todd Duffee vs. Mike Russow-UFC 114
UFC 127 as a whole is an underrated card in my opinion
Leonard Garcia vs/ Chan Sung Jung-UFC Fight Night: Nogueira vs. Davis(The twister)
Brian Ebersole vs. Dennis Hallmann-UFC 133(Be ready to laugh your ass off)
Rousimar Palhare vs. Dan Miller-UFC 134, its one of the most bizarre fights ever

Thats all for now

Or Bonnar/Cote, to a lesser degree.

Look up Rousimar Palhares, Harthan. He's the most lovable motherfucker ever.

Actually it's pronounced Paul Harris, and yes he's the most adorable little gorilla ever. Just thinking about the fact that he didn't get a birthday cake until his 32nd birthday and how he used to live under a bridge makes him so much fun to follow. That's Brazil's version of living in van down by the river.

So I'm watching Season Six of The Office and while obviously it goes downhill after Niagara, Scott's Tots is just so fucking hilarious.

Paul Harris angry, Paul Harris smash, Paul Harris break leg.

So I got fun blood test results back today. Cholesterol is too high, bad LDL is too high, good LDL is too low. Or, in simpler terms, I'm fat.

Being an adult is just the worst. People are always telling you numbers that are literal proof you are not good at taking care of yourself.

I remember when I got gold stars for bringing the right folder to class, man.

Mikey Stormrage? Is that you?

Yeah and when high scores on a test were a good thing...

Try coconut oil. Teaspoon once a day. It speeds up your metabolism and helps with digestion or if you have stomach issues like ulcers or bad heartburn. Also good for maintaining cholesterol levels\high blood pressure. I tried it during hockey season back in the day and it worked to shed some pounds. That and cutting out sodas everyday. Worth a shot.

Nightmare's idea sounds legit. Couple that with less snack foods (give yourself a "cheat day" every so often, but try to really keep it in check) and a bit of running, you should be in good shape fairly quick.

aww buddy. I didn't mean to hurt your feelings.

Hug it out, champ. Hug it out.

It's all right, I'll just have Derek Jacobs job embarrassingly next time...

I'll give it a shot. I'm working on the soda thing. I was trying a little harder in college but it's so hard when there's just fountains everywhere, but the numbers are kind of a slap in the face that I need to get it together. My teeth will probably thank me on that one, too.

running is one of the easiest ways to drop weight. and it's one of the only full body workouts there is. I usually start every day with a 3-4 mile run before I go lift and then do crossfit

Yeah, man. I usually run in the morning before the gym, too. If I can't, I usually hit the tread at the gym. There's a gym fairly close to my house, so I'll run to it on occasion (if I'm not in a rush/already dead tired/in the mood).

Do you think there's something worthwhile that I could do to build up to a reasonable running schedule? I'm going to be honest with you, I am pretty out of shape. I don't think I could jog a mile, in all honesty.

I've been talking to a friend about elliptical, which he likes a lot...

Ellipticals are cool. I've got a stationary bike at my house and I love the thing, you might wanna consider that.

Ellipticals are really good. Low impact excercise especially when you start out are best for your joints. One of the things I do when I run to build endurance is 60:120's, which is full on sprint or at least running at a good pace for 1 minute, then walking for 2 minutes. If you're just starting out, you can do 30 second/1 minute intervals.

Start off slow and build up to going faster and farther with the running thing. Walk a bit farther every day and then start jogging when you feel more comfortable. You need to build some cardio and lung capacity before you start going for long jogs. Otherwise your heart will strain and your lungs will burn out quick. If you arent used to it, you need to stretch first also.

Snack lighter than normal also. If you snack on something good a few times throughout the day it keeps your body working. A handful of cashews or almonds is better than a bag of chips. Water and juice are great, just stay away from 'fake' juice. Alot of that is like less than 10% juice and its mostly apple juice despite what the labels look like.

Stretching is KEY. Do not try to run or anything strenuous without stretching. warming up works too. I usually run in place for around 3 minutes followed by some jumping jacks to get my blood flowing and my legs working

You guys are good people. I'm going to do some work on this front and report back in the near future.

On the opposite end of the spectrum, I was just invited to join Tau Beta Pi, a national engineering honors society, so...yes, epic win.
