[Official] Chris Benoit Memorial Thread

Nothing against anyone here, but how can you people talk about Benoit's favourite match when most things point to him killing his wife and his son.
Sure he may have entertained wrestling fans, but if it does turn out what is being reported at the moment true, then he is on par with the worst monsters of people out there.
Just the fact that he MAY have murdered an innocent 7 year old son raises the hair on my head!

I say put off all the praises for him because right now it does seem like he is a despicable human bring.

there saying he killed his wife Saturday and his kid Sunday n him self monday, all im wondering is how the kid didnt kno the mom was killed, only thing i could think of he was at a friends sleeping over or grandparents... w.e happend benoits personal life is non of our business. even if the media blows most things out of proportion. R.I.P Benoit

Benoits testimonials have been removed of wwe.com, so all i can say is that its most obvious Chris did kill his family.

Absolutely horrific. On wwe.com they have a full report

His legacy and career now mean nothing because of what he did. Does anybody talk about OJ Simpsons football career? No. Why? Because he "allegedly" (I use that word loosley) killed his ex wife. You take someone elses life you no longer deserve respect.

Ok,
So everyone is talking about how great of a wrestler/man Benoit is. Well guess what all of that is now done boom gone. He is no longer a legend but a murderer. He killed a fn Seven year old. His son at that and his wife. Who knows what happened. Maybe he was on a drug binge maybe he just snapped.
The point is we all have problems but don't go off killing people.
He is a piece of garbage for what he did and deserves no respect/tribute shows/anything. I'll probably get banned for posting this but this is my opinion and I'm sticking with it.
He is scum. Period.

I must agree again 100%....he has NO legacy anymore and if he is put in the hall of fame...that is a slap in the face!!!

I talked about my memories of Benoit because him sopposedly killing his wife and child is only speculation. Until that scenario is proven true, I will remember Benoit as one of the greatest to ever stepfoot inside the squared circle.

already said forget about the wrestling the man is coward and his memory should be spat on if he did this but if ya wanna talk about wrestling the ecw days of TAZ, taz was levels better than benoit tech. wise, everthing wise untill the E handcuffed him wouldn't let him wrestle the same and squashed him because he was a big name b4 he came through thier door!

if the only thing this thread is for is to remember benoit as a wrestler, then it needs to be closed. with the reports that have come out, he no longer needs to be remembered for a damn thing.

Favourite match is a toss up between the triple threat at 'Mania XX or the Royal Rumble '03 WWE Title match against Kurt Angle. Think the rumble match might just nick it in my personal opinion. JBL & Cole and spoke about it tonight but he lost that match and still got the biggest standing ovation and show of respect i've seen after a match had finished, gave me goosebumps and it visibly moved Benoit too. Was a classic wrestling match and i'll never forget it or Benoit either.

Love him and miss him already! R.I.P!

i was there for that angle/benoit match at rr, i really dont remember it live, cuz i was like 12 at the time, but i do vividly remember the standing o we all gave him, because we all respected him and his excellent effort he gave, and that match between the two best technical wrestlers of all time wrestle. i watch that match a few years later, and it was a fantastic match put on by those two. by far the best match of that night. RIP BENOIT FAMILY.

If the reports of his weekend murders, then suicide on Monday, are true, then it negates anything he has done in the world of professional wrestling.

My deepest condolences to the family and friends of the victims.

*THIS IS A FINAL WARNING. KEEP IT CIVIL, OR ELSE THIS THREAD WILL BE CLOSED AND ANY THREAD PERTAINING TO BENOIT SUBSEQUENTLY OPENED WILL BE CLOSED AND THE ORIGINATOR BANNED.*

Last chance, keep it civil and stay away from the speculation as it's only led to flaming.

If Chris Benoit would have just taken his own life and not his family he would have been remebered forever and greatly. If anyone didnt see WrestleMania XX when he won the World HeavyWeight Championship(which was of course a part of the story line for him to win it)he hugged his wife and his son and told them he loved them then about 3 years later he kills them. Its just..just....downright STUPID!!!!!!Just because he didnt want to live he had to make sure his family couldnt either he selfish and the only thing he should be remebered for is for being a murderer!

Great so I guess there goes another memorial thread due to a bunch of idiots who can't seem to stop running their mouths about speculation.

Did Benoit do it? Maybe.
Is this what this thread is about? Not at all.

Can you guys just remember for a second that one of the greatest wrestlers in the WWE at this moment in time is dead?
What makes me laugh is that you're probably the same guys slagging off the WWE for being boring when Benoit was one of the few who made it anything but.
If you can't say anything productive then just don't bother saying anything at all and let us remember Benoit for the fookin fantastic Wrestler that he was!

I think it is more than speculation at this point, the investigators all but confirmed this as his crime.

I really hope I am proved wrong, but I still stand by my post to hold off all praises!

People should be allowed to remember Benoit for his wonderful career, the awesome matches he put on for the fans for 20 years or so...let them remember the positive things he did....its ok for people to want to only remember the good things he did on his career, instead of focusing on him being a murderer. Let people believe he really was a good guy and not the guy we're reaading about on websites.

This is a sad day for any fan of WWE, any fan that knows wrestling. My jaw dropped to the floor and then sunk into it when I saw the opening segment of RAW. What's worse is to turn to WZ after it's over to see the apparent cause of the deaths. It's just getting worse, this is a horrible situation all around.

Benoit one of the greatest technical wrestlers of all time, it's hard to put into words what I'm feeling. I met Benoit once, one of the nicest people I've ever had the chance and one of the nicest I ever will meet. WWE has lost a major backstage and in-ring friend, as have we all.

R.I.P. Benoit, your matches not lost, your skill not forgotten, your legacy never tarnished. I am proud to have seen your matches, and even more to have shaken your hand.

And it is very sad for me beacuse my very first match I had ever seen featured Chris, and my first(Wrestling)PPV I had ever seen was WrestleMania XX,And thats where I saw Chris win The W.H.C.

I would like to say that chris benoit was a really great wwf superstar what really hit me hard was when I saw him hug eddie guerrero in the middle of the ring both of them sadly passed away at a young age.

Chris Benoit 1967-2007 May he rest in peace

I can see what you's are trying to do with this guys and i know you's all loved Benoit as a wrestler, hell most of you's probably had him as your all time favourite, but i think this thread has got a bit tasteless now trying to glorify his career and matches.

At first i thought it was a great idea and i enjoyed reading your stories as it emphasised what a great wrestler everyone thought he was but now it is time to knock it on the head.

wwe.com have followed the reports now of Benoit being the murderer and i think we have to give respect to the extended family by not trying to speak about the good he has done.

Has he killed them both? I hope not as i really would hate him for being a coward and killing the child. Im still hoping some story like the wife killed the kid and Benoit killed the wife as it would make things that little bit better.

The bottom line in my opinion is that one way or another Benoit has murdered a human, possibly two including a young child who has had their life cruelly snatched away.

He has his reasons im sure but like i say im finding these threads a bit tasteless now.

Sorry if i have pissed off the mods for going off topic. Just had to give an honest opinion.

Yes he was a good wrestler...BUT...poor Nancy and Daniel. I feel worst for them...I truly hope to God, that they can now RIP...

Personally, I Am Enjoying These Benoit Montages That They Are Showing On Raw. They Are So Emotional And Well Put Together. No Matter What Happens, Ill Remember How Terrific Of A Wrestler He Was And How He Was Always At The Top Of The Wrestling Echilon.

Chris Benoit was a great wrestler and there were two moments with him that stick out to me. One was when he did that suplex to Sabu and dropped him right on his neck. I'm sure there were other good ones i didn't see, but that one always came to mind when i saw him wrestle. And the other thing that sticks out to me about Benoit was the time he had the World Heavyweight Title. He would come out week after week and defend it in good matches. He never had no stupid filler promos like cena and edge or any other stupid gimmicks. He would just come out every week and wrestle. And I haven't seen anyone else in the WWE do that since he did. I believe he was the last no promo champ the WWE has had and those are the best to me. The champs that don't need a "cutting edge" show or rap cd to make themselves known. They could just come out and wrestle every week and put on a good show every time. Its a shame he didn't get one more world title run. I don't wanna here about what happened with his family or his death. Thats between him and the lord now

RIP Benoit....you were one of the best

the matches i most remember with chris benoit, are is fueds with kevin sullivan, they had some good bouts. also wm20 was incredible, watching it again tonite was great. and the owen hart tribute match with bret hart.

GREAT WRESTLE, GREAT ATHLETE i hope the younger wrestlers did get to learn alot

jericho vs storm...TRIBUTE MATCH....PLZ

Benoit definitely wasn't great on the mic but still I found watching matches with him and Jericho and Angle, and to a certain extent helping the younger guys like Orton at the time and Mvp now more than made up for him not having great mic skills. As far as wresting went, Benoit did his job and entertained me.
