NFL Week 4 LD

Damn, one of the Ravens tackles is seriously hurt right now, they've already got an ambulance at the stadium, they're strapping him onto a stretcher. He hasn't moved very much at all, a couple of twitches with his foot and hand. This looks bad. Damn, you just hate to see that happen to anyone on any team. He is not moving.

After watching Cassel today, I'm beginning to wonder why there was so much hype in the off-season. He doesn't have pocket presence, he's unsure of his passes, gets mad at his line, and makes some bad decisions before the snap...

He has a hell of an arm, but I'm not seeing "franchise player" on the field...

You know you're getting pressure when the QB turns around and runs for the hills...

Cassel is limping also...Might have tweaked something...

Proving once again that it's about Belichick. Most of his players are like pieces to a machine, ones that he can easily replace (aside from guys like Brady and Moss obviously). Notice how every coordinator or staff member that has left the Pats organization in the last few years has gone on to do mediocre at best? Mangini, Romeo, Weiss...McDaniels has done well so far and Pioli will do wonders for KC in the long run though.

Cassell is good, he's got a great arm, and if given time he's good in the pocket. He's not going to throw up 30 TDs a year or anything though, I thought the contract given to him was a bit lofty. Cassell is a good game manager who every once in a while will make a few great plays for you. Definitely not a bad starter by any means, but he's better as a manager than a play-maker.

Pretty much my thoughts.

Until that play...:wtf:

Chiefs had 4th and 4, down 14-3 at the two minute warning, and there's a false start. The crowd was silent, so I don't know how they messed that up...

I think it's time we accept that Laurence Maroney is a fucking bust. Fred Taylor or Sammy Morris should be getting these touches.

I thought this was agreed upon last season. I'd use Morris mostly, with Taylor getting in on a few series. Why isn't Faulk in the equation? Is he officially just a 3rd Down guy now?

I'd take Maroney though. He'd be a decent 3rd option behind the starters we have...

I <3 Kevin Boss. He made a big catch down the field, hurt himself, but still got to his feet and lined up in a 2-point stance to make sure they can clock the ball.

17-3 going into the half...

Maroney used to be good, but he can't get anything this year at all whatsoever. Fred Taylor had a great game last week and should be our starter I think. Sammy Morris gets touches, and so does Faulk.

Sammy Morris just scored a TD, Pats lead 17-7, looking good for New England today.

Ouch, that must have hurt Flacco, nice sack. Our defense is looking great today, I can't believe how well our defense has been this year with like half of it being back ups and rookies. A testament to just how fucking good a coach Belichick is.

Next week's LD is going to be named "NSL And X (And Perhaps A Few Others) Discuss NFL Week 5"

I thought this was a live discussion...Where is everyone??

Ha, yeah, really. We might as well be on MSN. You should have seen the College Football LD I made yesterday, maybe two pages total. I was sad.

Today is also the last game of the season for the Red Sox, who are leading Cleveland 4-1 right now. Looks like we'll be having a 95 win season, very good considering all the injuries we had. Victor Martinez has been a fucking Godsend. Playoffs start this week NSL, are you pumped?

Smith has 7 catches and 2 TDs in the first half...If he ends up with more than 12 catches, I'll cream myself...

Honestly, it's tough. The Mets were cursed this season, and injuries did us in before we could get going. I'll watch a few games, and then watch the WS, but I'm not falling to pieces over it.

Cards over Angels in 6 is my pick...

Lions are tied at the half 21-21. Calvin Johnson is a fucking beast. Best receiver in the league imo, he just has never had a good quarterback.

Booooo!

Red Sox over some chumps in 4 :p

Nah, probably not. I think we'll beat LA in the first round because we ALWAYS do and the Angels just cannot win at Fenway in October. Odds are we'll be facing the Yankees in the ALCS, and if we can get by them, than I think we definitely take the World Series. Getting by them is going to be tough as hell though.

YES! Pats linebacker Leigh Bodden just intercepted Joe Flacco, fucking nice.

:wtf: Since when is Bodden a LB? Isn't he a corner?

KC really makes me laugh...They're down 17-3, and open the 2nd Half with an onside kick. So now we have a short field, and they can't stop our running game...

I'm waching the New England game, I want them to win because of their name. There's my intelligent reply to this topic.

I think what I love most about our depth, is that it makes our coverage teams that much better...

Seeing guys like Goff, Kehl, and Blackburn nailing people on a kick return, and then lining up on defense brings a smile to my face...

Smith has 10 catches already...

You'd think they'd figure out our secret...
