Ok so we're 7-1 going into the bye week and im ecstatic about that. But come on we were up 24-3 and only won the game 38-26. Our pass defense seemingly forgot how to defend the pass late in the game and allowed Rodgers and company to get back in it. I'm worried but hopefully the bye and the game against the Lions at home in the next two weeks will be enough time for Winfield to get healthy and back in the rotation. He is a pro bowl cornerback and one of the best in the league. We're gonna need him down the stretch as we work our way into jockeying for playoff position later on in the season. But having our bye smack dab in the middle of the season. The schedule makers couldn't have been any nicer. lol

Winfield being out was definitely a major part. Plus Robison had that stupid fumble on the kickoff that he should have just knelt down. I think that play maid the defense a little more gased. Our defense does need to step it up though. Our tackling has been average, as we rank towards the bottom of the league in missed tackles. Paymah and Sapp are just not starter quality and Asher Allen is just young and inexperience. Winfield should be back after the bye and our defense should pick it back up. I'm definitely thrilled about being 7-1 in our division, plus we are in the driver seat and should clinch the division. It is a good a year to be a Vikes fan right now.

The Colts almost let it slip to the 49ers with Alex Smith at QB. Nothing against Smith, but this was a shock to see this game this close. The 49ers have a nice defense and the offense is finding it's groove, so I think they may still surprise. The Colts, while this was a so so game, are still the best team all around IMO and I can see them as the AFC opponent in the Super Bowl.

Yeah I also think that the Offensive line IS improving. Smith is a decent QB and hopefully can win games the Niners need to win, starting next week at Tennessee. Gore seems to be finding his groove and already has 3 major yard TD's, Crabtree gives Smith a different option and has looked good in his two games so far, I think as soon as he gets a few TD's under his belt he should settle in nicely. Vernon Davis has already beaten last years recieving stats so he has improved vastly. So it is improving.

Against the Colts we looked good and they could only beat us with a excellent TD pass from Joseph Addai, which to be honest nobody saw coming, glad to see we kept Manning fairly quiet. The thing we need to work on is the 3rd down conversions, we were 2-10 on 3rd conversions which isnt good enough. If we are going to beat the big teams we need to be able to convert our 3rd downs. I am a big fan of what Singletary is doing though and I think the playoffs are well within reach for the first time in a good few seasons.

Man, I almost had a heart attack today. I was so fucking nervous, more so than even the Miami game.

Carolina has had the Saints number these past few years, and I just hate them so much. I did not want the Saints first loss to come from those bastards, and thank God... it didn't happen.

While off to a very rocky start where I came close to breaking my remote control over their stupidity, the Saints defense really stepped up in the 2nd half and held Carolina to just 3 points. And our offense showed up after halftime as well, with a couple of huge plays, and drives that ate up the clock and put points up on the board. The Saints are a damn good 2nd Half team, and I think a lot of that credit has to go to the coaches and the adjustments they make at halftime.

But yeah... scary one today, but I think these games help the Saints more so than blowouts, so I have nothing to complain about.

Good day for the Pats. Miami was going to be a tough game, and they definitely showed up to play their best, but at the end of the day the Pats were just too good for them. I was shocked by how well the Miami defense played, but it wasn't long before Brady started to expose them. He threw an absolutely beautiful 72 yard bomb to Moss for a TD which had me jumping for joy. The Wildcat worked once or twice, but then failed the next fifteen times they tried it, which is what always seems to happen with the Wildcat.

With this win we're 6-2 now, and two games up on the Jets in first place in the AFC East. Things are looking up for us. Next week we've got our toughest challenge to date---the Colts. But seeing how close they came to losing to the Texans earlier today, I think not only do we have a great shot at beating them, but I'm confident we will. It's big game time, and Brady knows that. Cannot wait for next week.

I, on the other hand, have a little something to complain about.

While Carolina played excellent in the first half of that game, minus the final minutes of the 2nd Quarter in giving up that huge catch to (I believe) Henderson, which lead to a FG on the board.. the officials in that game were fucking blind as hell.

Two absolutely bullshit calls were unfortunately NOT made. The first would've given Carolina the first down, in FG position, on the 3rd down play where Delhomme missed his TE due to a Saints defender basically riding him to the ground. Instead, it was a 4th down play that resulted in a Panthers turnover.

So, we hold and get the ball from a punt.. with 2 minutes remaining.. when the next bullshit missed call was NOT made. The Saints defender who went into the endzone then touched the ball, which caused them to down it at the 1 yd line.. which, ironically, lead to another fumble and that time a TD on the board for New Orleans to wrap the game up.

Had the first call of been made, Carolina would've hit a game-tying FG, if not a potential game-winning TD. And had the second call of been made, we wouldn't of felt the need to run out of the back of the endzone - which would've meant NO fumble by DeAngelo, resulting in losing the game.

So yeah.. in what was an amazing game, and even more so as the 3rd Quarter ended all tied up.. turned into a bullshit bunch of play-calling by the officials who couldn't get their heads out of their asses long enough to call things correctly.

(Happy) Game Moments: (1.) The entire 1st half. (2.) DeAngelo Williams rushing abilities. (3.) Jake Delhomme's quality in performance. 4.)Our Defense's ability to hold an explosive offense in check for only 6 pts - the fewest they've scored all Season, in the first half, I might add.

(Sad) Game Moments: (1.) Drew Brees reading how to be a QB again, and torching us. (2.) Losing Thomas Davis to what could be a Season-Ending injury. (3.) Miscues by the officials on big calls that would've decided the game. (4.) Carolina's unknown play-calling on the 2nd to last drive, when we started throwing on 2nd and 8 instead of running when we'd ran down their throats all game, which lead to the 4th and 8 to begin with.

Sorry, Will, but that's a bunch of bullshit.

Brian Billick, who called the game, thought so at first as well, but then he explained that indeed the right call was made because even though Malcolm Jenkins ran into the endzone, the rules state that if both your feet come out of the endzone before you touch the ball, then the ball will be placed where ever you touched it, and it's not a touchback. And if you watch it, Will, Jenkins CLEARLY got BOTH his feet out of the endzone before he touched the ball.

The fact is, man.... Carolina got beat by a better team. The Panthers got a good lead, and couldn't take advantage of it, because the Saints are simply better than them. You guys would make these plays, and once you got into our territory, Carolina either didn't get a first down, or they had to settle for the field goal, because the Saints defense would step up and stop you guys, not because of the referees.

The Saints were the better team yesterday, end of story. And they'll prove it when they kick Carolina's ass on their own home field later on this season. :icon_wink:

The fact is, man.... Carolina got beat by a better team

Actually I disagree I feel Carolina was the better team yesterday the difference is they have Jake Delhomme who can't be trusted to throw 15 passes in a game.

The Saints run defense has been exposed by the Falcons and Panthers leave it to two division teams that aren't afraid of the Saints because they play them every year to show the rest of the NFL how to beat them.

I think a lot teams would have beaten the Saints yesterday and if Carolina had a NFL quarterback they would have too.

Honestly I think Carolina is a team that has the Saints number and it wouldn't surprise me one bit to see the Saints go down in Charlotte.

Bengals are starting to look damn good. 6-2 start, best start since the 7-1 start in 1988, and that was the Super Bowl year. The Ravens were on a roll after their complete destruction of the Broncos last year, and the Bengals straight up made them look terrible yesterday. The Ravens are 4-2 against everyone not wearing a Bengals jersey.

The big test is this week, as it is Steelers week. If the Bengals can go into Pitt and walk out with a W, and be 5-0 in division, with essentially a 2 game cushion over everyone else (given what happens tonight with the Broncos/Steelers game), this very well could be a playoff bound Bengal team.

Actually I disagree I feel Carolina was the better team yesterday the difference is they have Jake Delhomme who can't be trusted to throw 15 passes in a game.

But they don't have a quarterback, so what's your point? Sure, if Carolina had Peyton Manning or Tom Brady, they would probably be better than the Saints, but since they don't and they have to settle with a Saints reject in Jake Delhomme... the Saints are overall a better team than them. One player, especially on the most important position on the field, can make one team better than the other.

The Saints run defense has been exposed by the Falcons and Panthers leave it to two division teams that aren't afraid of the Saints because they play them every year to show the rest of the NFL how to beat them.

You forgot to include Miami.

But the thing is, all three teams ran all over New Orleans in the 1st half, whereas in the 2nd, where it's most important, New Orleans adjusted themselves at halftime and kept all three of those teams to acceptable rushing yards. So, yeah... while the Saints run defense does need some work, they're still doing enough in the 2nd half to get us wins, which is all that matters.

Also, it could be argued that Miami and Carolina are the two best running teams in the league and that it's nothing to be a shamed of for them to gain a lot of rushing yards against you. However, the Michael Turner stuff was kind of embarrassing, I will admit, but it only happened because the Saints defense are a bit undersized, not because they couldn't get to him.

I think a lot teams would have beaten the Saints yesterday and if Carolina had a NFL quarterback they would have too.

That makes no sense, man. To say this would be like saying a lot of teams could have beaten New England yesterday. But in reality... we don't know that because New England, just like New Orleans, would have played completely different against another team.

Honestly I think Carolina is a team that has the Saints number and it wouldn't surprise me one bit to see the Saints go down in Charlotte.

Well, we'll see about that.

Well it's Midseason time, and a pretty good year in the NFL thus far. This year has been unlike other recent years, where the top of the pack has very clearly begun to separate itself from the bottom of the pack. Gone is the quagmire of .500 teams fighting for position. the Wild Card teams this year all look to be around the 11 plus win range. I know it's still early, but the playoff picture is coming in pretty clear.

Quick Reviews by me, woo hoo.

AFC East.

New England: Pats are back, maybe not up to their old selves yet, but what a damn impressive football team. A stumble at the beginning of the year to the Jets, and a loss in OT where they never touched the ball, not too shabby. The Pats are all but a lock for the playoffs at this point.

Miami Dolphins: Attention Miami, the one year wonder was nice, but you are a .500 team at best. The Rest of the league has caught up to the Wildcat. No quality quarterback equals no chance in this league.

New York Jets: Well, this team has bumped up to the top 3 teams of teams I hate very much, and that's thanks to their selfish, sore loser bitch of a coach named Rex Ryan. This guy runs his mouth and talks shit after they lose. Attention Rex Ryan, you were handed a Super Bowl defense in Baltimore and road the coat tails of that to a head coaching job, maybe you should win something before being a pompous ass.

Buffalo Bills: The TO experiment = failure. TO's a clown, the Bills are clowns. Nothing possibly could go right for this franchise. Dick Jauron, nice knowing ya.

AFC South:

Indianapolis Colts: 8-0, you would assume these Colts all but have this division wrapped up with a 3.5 game lead going into the second half of the year. The Colts play a shit schedule though, and I'm not sure they are the elite team they are made out to be. New England comes into town, that will be the measuring stick. However, the Colts play no one this year worth a damn, so they are all but a lock for the #1 seed in the AFC, just don't choke it as usual.

Houston Texans: One of my Wild card picks for the year, and they are much improved. 5-4 is a helluva start for this team, and again, they play the same weak schedule as the Colts. They have a head to head matchup win over the Bengals for a tiebreaker in the wild card, so they are very much alive.

Jacksonville Jaguars: So long Jack Del Rio. Another bad year here. This team was apart of the cream of the crop in the AFC just a few years ago, and now back to cellar dweller. Nothing about this team is impressive, and I won't be surprised to see them at the bottom of the South pile at the end of the season.

Tennessee Titans: So long Jeff Fischer. So you have a franchise quarterback sitting on the bench and you stick with your aging quarterback well past the 0-4 mark. Tell me exactly what has Jeff Fischer done to deserve the accolades he receives as a head coach, because as far as I know, 1 Super Bowl APPEARANCE in 15 years doesn't cut it. I drank the Kool-Aid of 21 of 22 starters returning, but this team is just awful.

AFC North:
Cincinnati: Amazing, 6-2, 4-0 in division. The Cardiac Cats went from a team barely squeaking wins out, to flat out dominating the Bears and Ravens the last two weeks. If they beat Pittsburgh, this team might, might be 10-2 before rolling into Minnesota. If they play like they have, they either win the division or are a Wild Card.

Steelers: Five game winning streak, Troy Polamalu back, this team looks as dangerous as ever. They still have two games left with in division Baltimore, and a huge game with the Bengals this week. Steelers win, they are in the drivers seat, Steelers lose, and they are still a shoe in for the Wild Card.

Baltimore: Don't drink the Joey Flacco Kool-Aid. I've said it all year, the Ravens are over rated and were beneficiaries of a soft opening schedule. They got into the meat of the schedule, and have gone from 3-0 to 4-4. This defense is aging before our eyes.

Browns: LOL, what a fucking joke.

AFC West:

Broncos: The surprise Darling of the NFL this year, the first year coach and his new QB out west. However, reality is slowly beginning to surround this team. This 6-0 team is now 6-2, and very well could finish the season in the 10-6 range. They aren't as good as their record indicates.

Chargers: I'm not sold on the Chargers like others, but I do see them having enough to get ahead of the Denver Broncos. There offense and defense are aging, and neither have looked particularly impressive. However, the Chargers are a late season team and seem to get the ball rolling then.

Chiefs and Raiders: See Cleveland Browns

As far as my AFC Playoff Picture:

Division Winners:
New England, Indianapolis, Pittsburgh, and San Diego

Wild Card:
Cincinnati and Denver

I must say I have been impressed with the Bengals. They were my sleeper team this year and when I was doing my predictions for the beginning of the year going week by week, I had the Bengals finishing at 12-4. I was shocked at how well I had them going and most people laughed at me saying they were nothing more than a .500 team. But Marvin Lewis has the team balling right now and Mike Zimmer has shaped up the defense. Leon Hall is playing pro bowl football at CB and the offense is one of the best with Ocho, Carson, and Ceddy B. This team could be very dangerous in the AFC, and I know I'd love to see them battle my Minnesota Vikings in the SB. And they get to battle it out in a few weeks, could be a FANTASTIC ball game.

Well this weeks Bengals vs. Steelers game is huge, and that's an understatement. I know a lot of the attention is going to the Colts vs. Patty's, and justifiably so. However, The Steelers Bengals game goes right up there for homefield advantage in the AFC along with that game. If the Bengals win, they essentially have a two game lead over the Steelers, with only 2 games remaining against teams with winning records. If the Steelers win, they have a 1 game lead on the Bengals, and the Steelers play exactly zero games against teams over .500. Huge is an understatement at this point.

And now onto the NFC.

NFC East.

Cowboys: Currently the Boys sit on top of the NFC East. I hate the Cowboys, I hate everything they represent. I didn't have them making the playoffs at the beginning of the year, and you know what, i might stick with that. The month of December is looming, and Big Game Romo is bound to show his ugly head again.

Eagles: Still my pick to win this division. The Eagles are solid all around, and had a tough loss this last week to the Cowboys. However, the Eagles play 16 games, unlike the cowboys that seem to stop playing after week 11.

Giants: LOL, 5-0 to 5-4. Good thing I didn't jump on this teams bandwagon. The Giants are incredibly average. They have zero threats at the wideout position, and Eli is looking like he's earning that huge contract... The defense is still solid, I think, but this team is nothign special.

Redskins: Everything that is wrong with professional football, and sports in general. An over zealous owner that has absolutely no knowledge on how to put a football team together. Disaster after disaster for this franchise. Until The Dan concedes power and puts a football mind in charge, nothing will ever change.

NFC South:

Saints: Certainly the surprise team of the NFC this year. They've had the talent, it was a matter of time that it simply all gelled together. This team gets down, they come back. This team goes up, they stay up. Quite frankly, if any team could run the table, this team could do it, but it won't happen. It's looking like a 14-2ish year in the Big Easy, and those fans have earned it.

Falcons: Wasn't big on the Matt Ryan bandwagon, but I'm on board now. I figured he would suffer through the sophomore slump like Joe Flacco is now, but Ryan is clearly the cream of the crop of his QB class. The Falcons are a lock for the playoffs, and I expect them to knock a division winner out.

Panthers: The John Fox and Jake Delhomme era is coming to an end. I had them pegged to win this division at the beginning of the year, and I was dead wrong. This team is just bad and showing it's age. It's time for the Panthers to shake things up a bit.

Bucs: Well what can you say, just wear the creamcicles every game. I can't bash a team too hard with a rookie QB and rookie coach.

NFC North:

Vikings: I know everyone is on the Brett Favre bandwagon, but I'm waiting for the 40 year old to start to break down in the next few weeks. No way he can keep up this level of play all year. Don't get me wrong, they are a lock to win this division, but games against the AFC North have exposed this team to be a fraud. You can hide in the NFC all year, but this team doesn't have what it takes to beat a power from the AFC, or the Saints.

Packers: Sexy pre-season pick for a wild card, but alas, it probably won't happen. Aaron Rodgers is in a shit position with a terrible offensive line allowing himt o get his ass handed to him time and time again. I went through this last year watching the Bengals, and the Bengals fixed their problems and are amazing now. They have an outside shot for the wildcard, depending if the Cowboys do what the Cowboys do.

Bears: Another sexy pick for the post season at the beginning of the year, and I blame that on Urlacher getting injured moreso then anything. I thought the defense would be strong enough to allow the over rated Jay Cutler to simply manage games, but the injury bug prevented that. Now, it's on Cutlers shoulder and he's not gettign the job done. You suck Jay Cutler.

Lions: Well at least they won one game.

NFC West:

Cardinals: After getting their ass handed to them by the Panthers, this team comes back and blows out the Bears. I'm not sure who this team is right now. They beat the Giants and Bears, but lose t the Colts and Panthers. However, the NFC West is traditionally the worst division in football, and the Cards are going to win this thing.

49ers: People jumped on the bandwagon, I didn't buy it. 3 wins against the NFC West doesn't impress me. They might finish 6-10, which is an improvement, but this team has no Quarterback that can be effective on the field.

Seahawks: I drank the Kool-Aid thinking that Houshmanzadeh would be the much needed piece to the Seahawks Wideouts. However, a funny thing happen. TJ leaves Cincy, Cincy wins. It's becomming clear that this guy is a locker room cancer and dumping him was the best thing the bengals could have done. Now TJ Douchemanzadeh can rot in mediocrity.

Rams: Well, they won one game, against the Lions.

So Playoffs.

Division winners.
Eagles, Saints, Vikings and Cardinals

Wild Card:
Atlanta and the Packers (screw the cowboys)

I hate to agree Shocky...The Giants' wideouts are better than you give them credit for. Smith has proven to be a top talent, and Nicks is a big play threat now. Manningham has slowed, but he's also hurt. Eli has been playing well, and the defense is playing solid, but there's one glaring hole.

We can not stop the big play. Whether it's on special teams, defense, or even offense, we can not stop the team from making the big play. Our O-Line doesn't allow many sacks, but they always seem to be on 3rd and Long or near the goal line. Our defense allows too many open lanes for the run game, and can't stop the intermediate passes, and they turn into 40-50 yard plays. Our coverage units just look tired, all the time.

God I miss Kenny Phillips...

I am very pleased with what I'm seeing from Michael Turner. 320 yards in his last two games, not to mention a touchdown in every game excluding week one. Matt Ryan's in a slump, but he'll pop out of it once Roddy White gets healthier and Michael Jenkins gets benched. I'm hoping for 13-3, even though it won't happen. 11-5 for the Falcons this year.

I can't wait until to see the second half of the season this year seems so wide open to me and I wouldn't be surprised to see even the Bengals win the big game.

This next game for the Patriots is a must win for me they need to beat an elite team to be considered an elite team which they haven't done yet.

Another thought is the media now anointing Dallas as the "team to beat" in the NFC East. What exactly is different about this Cowboys team ? They always do well in November and always beat the Eagles the first time around before decisively getting beaten by them in December.

I think the best team in the NFL right now is the Vikings they should have beaten Pittsburgh but some bad luck got the best of them. Adrian Peterson is the best tailback in the NFL and that offensive line is impressive. The defense they have gets lots of pressure on the QB and it's once poor secondary has played pretty well this year.

If Brett Favre stays healthy and doesn't get tired and that's a big if for a 40 year old quarterback. I see the Vikings hoisting their first Lombardi trophy some February.

Giants fan here.

The 2009 new york giants reminds me too much of 2007 NY Giants

You don't know what defense is going to show up sunday, Manning has a good day & a bad day the next week, our secondary still sucks shit, our defense lacks speed, and an inept coaching staff that doesn't make any half-time or in-game changes.

I think we can turn it around though. Under Tom Coughlin, the Giants are always in a 3-game slump in a season. I'm just glad it happened in mid-season, instead of it happening towards the end of the year, like it did in '08.

I'm still confident we could finish 10-6, at worst. We have too much character, heart, and fight on our team to say we're going to finish under .500 and miss the playoffs. Plus, its not like the Bears & 49ers have been all that consistent.

Jay Cutler just threw his 4th INT today. Boy has he been inconsistent for the Bears thus far. Two of the INT weren't really his fault, but still. I think the Bears need to move elsewhere and find them some new coaches for Cutler to work under and maybe that'll help turn it around.

Both the 49ers and Bears disappointed me yesterday/

We all know Chicago's defense has been shit as of late. And with 4 turnovers handed over by the Bears, the 49ers only managed to score 10 points? With only 210 total yards? It looks like Alex Smith is not the answer, their offense is still dangerously below average, even with the talent they have there. This is obviously not a playoff team.

Also, I thought Jay Cutler was a clutch QB? Well at least that's what I hear fans say. I don't care how bad your receivers are, there is just that one 'something' about a QB that defines him as clutch and it reflects on your receivers. Not only is the guy an INT machine, but he's not any clutch. Who knows, I could be wrong about that but is certainly seems like I'm right now.

Anyway, I'm ashamed I watched that game. These two teams aren't playoff material and shouldn't make it there. That leaves the wild card race for the Eagles, Falcons, Packers, Giants, & possibly the Seahawks (they can make a late run, you never know). Things are looking good for my Giants to make the playoffs =)

On a side note, I don't play fantasy but boy I want to know how many rushing yards Chris Johnson is going to pop on the Bills :lmao:. Also, I think the Patriots will beat the Colts. Not because 'Tom Brady is better than peyton', because the Patriots are simply a better team than the Colts and always have been for years. God I hope the Eagles & Packers lose(as much as I hate Dallas, they're winning the division this year. It's all about the wild card now.)

Nice post but you forgot a few things. The 49ers have lost 4 games by 7 or less points. They are at best an average team, meaning they can easily get to 8-8 or even 9-7. They almost beat the Minnesota Vikings and Indianapolis Colts on the road. Quarterback is not the Niners only problem. They have line issues which can be resolved through the draft but our Offensive Coordinator has to mix up the plays more or else defenses are going to see right through our schemes. But the 49ers defense is rock solid and will continue to get better as the year goes on and even better next year. The Packers are a good team with a lot of line issues and defensive problems. They will not make the playoffs at this rate. The Dallas Cowboys are for real and we will see how they play in December but I can see them playing well this year. Tony Romo, despite contrary belief is a good Quarterback.

I was starting to agree with you until you mentioned the Seahawks as playoff contenders....what the hell? The Seahawks! The Frickin SeaHAWKS! They cannot stop the run and you can pass easily on them. The Bears and 49ers are NOT bad teams. There are great teams, good teams and average teams. Right now, 49ers and Bears are average teams. They need 2-3 adjustments to get to good level and 4-5 to get to greatness. The 49ers played a great defensive game last night but no one will acknowledge that because we're the 9ers. They aren't a Super Bowl team but are not that far off from being a playoff team. We did lose by 4 points to both Minnesota and Indianapolis on the road. They need to learn how to finish games.

As for your Giants. They should make the playoffs but they NEED NEED NEED to end that ridiculous losing streak if they want to get there. The Giants are a good team that was great but injuries have seemingly taken its toll on the team. We'll see how it plays out but my division winners in the NFC are Arizona, Minnesota, New Orleans and Dallas with the Eagles and Falcons rounding out the wildcard.

AFC East.

Pats: Not as dominant as in past years, but still very good. Brady is finally starting to come into form as well as Moss, definite SB contendor.

Phins: Fun as hell to watch, not very good. Wonder how things would be if Pennington didn't get hurt?

Jets: 3-0 is a long time ago. They aren't anything special as Sanchez still needs a lot of time. And Rex Ryan is just weird.

Bills: Dreadful, Jauron is awful, they have no QB, surprised TO hasn't murdered someone yet.

AFC South:

Colts: Solid, but like the Pats, not as good as past years. Peyton is still awesome, but there are still some question marks with an inexperience coach and no #2 WR.

Texans: Really hot and cold team. They could win 5 in a row or lose 5 in a row, you never know. They have an explosive passing offense, but no clear RB at the moment. Their D is also shaky at times, but should be good enough to make the playoffs.

Jacksonville Jaguars: Pretty much met expectations this season. Decent team, decent recrod, that's it. Nothing special at all here.

Tennessee Titans: Dreadful season, from SB contendors to the bottom of the ladder just like that. VY has looked good thus far though, maybe there is hope in the future with him and Chris Johnson.

AFC North:
Cincinnati: Skeptical about this team at first, but they are definetly solid. Swept the Ravens and Palmer is playing great. With Benson showing why he was a top #10 pick and a tough defense, Cincy are definetly contendors.

Steelers: I can smell another Super Bowl. The Stillers are playing awesome right now. Ben is a top 5 QB, we have 3 solid WRs, Mendenhall has looked dynamic, and our defense is back on track with Troy. Tomorrow's game with Cincy is huge.

Baltimore: Their defense has really been mediocre this year, it's clear that Ray Lewis has lost a step or 2 and Flacco isn't ready to lead an entire team yet. There have been bright spots though they still have a shot at the playoffs.

Browns: Umm, yeah. Brady Quinn is great, right?

AFC West:

Broncos: After watching them on Monday Night, they're just an average team that benifitted from an easy schedule. Orton is decent, but can't win you the game and they really aren't special at all.

Chargers: Completely and utterly inconsistent. Should be at the top of this division, but aren't, and I don't think they'll get there.

Chiefs: Dreadful, Haley is a failure.

Raiders: Al Davis is still alive? They need to find a way to salvage the JaMarcus Era.

AFC Playoff Picture:

Division Winners:
New England, Indianapolis, Pittsburgh, and Denver

Wild Card:
Cincy, Houston

I find it kind of humorous how little respect Brady has been given this year. Everyone has been jumping up and down screaming about how great Peyton Manning is. Well guess what? He and Brady have virtually the exact same statistics across every category. Both have 16 TDs and 5 interceptions, both have about 2500 yards, both have QB ratings circling around 100. Manning has a slight advantage in yards and QB rating, but still, the way people have been sucking off Manning this year you'd think he was breaking records left and right.

Cannot wait for the big Pats-Colts showdown obviously.

Yeah lol, I was being sarcastic about the seahawks making a playoff run. But man do your 49ers scare me, they are an offense click away from becoming an elite team. Not to mention their schedule sets up for them nicely to make a wild-card. Even though NFC teams' records aren't fancy, this conference is very tight.

As for the Giants, our streak will definitely end. Under Tom Coughlin, we usually go through a stretch of a game or two where we play poorly (AKA: a slump). It happened in '07 & '08. Similar to how Norv Turner gets to slow starts in a season, how Andy Reid blows a game against a piss poor team, or how Ken Weisenhunt can't win games at home etc etc. Yesterday was a sign our slump is over. Eli completed 75% of his passes and the defense would've held San Diego to under 150 yards(I'm serious) had it not been for that last drive. Hopefully we can get it together soon and win these close games.
