I think we will see Young before Leinart. Kerry Collins has played like shit this season. Actually for the majority of his career he has been average at best. Then all of the sudden he has one good year and people think he's great. The only reason he was starting over Young is because he protected the ball better. Well now he is going back to throwing too many picks and he no longer is giving them the best chance to win.

As far as Leinart goes, I think he has a chance to be the starter next year, but until the Cardinals are out of the playoff hunt I don't see Warner getting benched. Warner was bad the first week, amazing the second week, and then average this week. However, I believe the cardinals have bigger issues then just the quarterback position. Also as good as the Niners have played I don't see any team running away with that division so Warner should be the starter for the majority if not this whole season.

I don't think we'll see Young anytime soon. He's definitely next in line, but I don't think they'll go with a change until at least midway through the season, and only if all hope is lost. Collins is their best chance to win right now, and since they're built to win, he should be the man under center.
If they're built to win now how come they are 0 and 3? And it isn't like Collins is lighting up scoreboards across the US. His offense has flopped with him, and they can't get much worse. The odds of making the playoffs after an 0 and 3 start is slim to none. Maybe a change at the QB position is what they need to get that offense going.

I don't think Leinart will see the field at all this year as a starter, barring injury. He's too much of a headcase, and he hasn't shown he can give the team a fighting chance to win a game. Maybe they go into next season with him starting, but for this season, they should stick with Warner.

He's a headcase? You mean the same Leinart who spent a lot of time watching film in the offseason to improve his game? And right now Warner hasn't looked to good either, and we all know that teams only chance of winning is to put up 30 points a game.

Each team needs a spark, and it isn't firing there head coach, or coordinators. The best spark is to make a statement by benching there star Quarterbacks. Both could fall flat, but it's something that could come at a high reward.

I had this conversation last night during the game.

It's not as if Vince Young is a career failure. He was rookie of the year, took a team to the playoffs and had a winning record as a starter. Remember, when he first took over for Collins, the Titans were 2-6, and finished the yar at 8-8. This is a very similar situation. He did look good in the preseason.

I think Young is mature as well. I think that the situation last year got blown completely out of proportion. He just left his cell phone at home. He was upset, and went to go play video games and get away. Who among us hasn't done that.

Maturity, on the other hand, is Leinart's problem. He is constantly associated with starlets, late night partying, and generally not being ready to play football. He enjoys the money and the fame, but apparently, not the film study. He can't handle pressure in the pocket either. This is how Texas beat USC, they made Leinart uncomfortable. That still follows him to this day. Eventually, Warner will be done, and he will have to take over, but his road is longer than Young's.

Vince Young has proven he can win in the NFL. This may sound like distant memory but in his rookie year he did lead his team to the playoffs. Young can be a good quarterback, I think he has learned from his mistakes.

Leinart on the other hand will be MIA for this year, and possibly next year depending on how the Cards do. If they make the playoffs, Leinart waits if not its time to move on with Kurt. Leinart will have an easier job though with his wide receivers when he comes in as long as he can make good smart decisions he will be ok.

They're built to win now because they have a great pair of running backs, and spent a 2st Rd pick on a WR. Even without Haynesworth, their defense was supposed to be on eof the best in the league. Obviously not as good, but good enough to keep them in games long enough for the running game to take over.

Leinartis a headcase, yes. Like FTS said, Leinart is immature, and to play the most important position in the game, you have to keep your head in the game all of the time, not just between Week 1 and Week 17. If he can get past living the college life, then maybe he can be a success in the league.

Arizona will get their spark in the coming weeks. They get Houston and Seattle, and both games are very winnable. Their offense will have a chance to rebound, and their defense will have a chance to bounce back. The Titans don't need a spark. They lost their first two games by a combined 6 points, and only lost to the Jets by a TD, and many people are putting the Jets in the top 3 teams of the league. They have two games against divisional opponents coming up, so if they play tough and squeak out 2 wins, they're right back in the hunt.

The LIONS plain and simple!! They finally got a win for the 1st time since Dec. 07 almost 2 years ago!!!!
As for a player I gotta say Pierre Thomas, 127 yards on 14 carries 2 touchdowns all in 2nd half, he carried the team to a win, Brees couldnt really get it going with the passing came, props to the Bills for finally being the team to bring Brees back down to earth a little.

I am going with Brett Favre. MVP is the most VALUABLE player and I feel Favre is the only qb who can avoid the sack run around and make a perfect bullet to win the game, Tarvaris or Sage could not do it hence he is the MVP

No, he's not. I know this...I'm a Giants fan.

I gave him an honorable mention for the final drive of the game, and I'm feeling like I made a mistake with all the love he's getting. It was one good drive. He was only 24-46 to end the game, and when you throw 46 times, you better end the game with 300 yards and at least 2 TDs.

I think we will see Young sooner. Look at the schedule. They still have the Colts twice, the Jags could surprise anyone, and the surprising Bengals, and arguably the best team in the NFL right now, the Ravens. They already lost to the Texans once. This team that was 13-3 last season just is not the same. Young I'm sure has overcome his issues last year and realizes its a priviledge to be a QB, something JaMarcus Russel probably won't realize even tho he is horrible. That's another topic. Anyways I believe V.Y is ready to come back and play and will most likely get the chance.

Thriller...Twist...I respect what Kolb and Jackson did for the Eagles Sunday, but they were playing the freakin' Chiefs.

I couldn't give Brees the MVP award following his domination of the Saints, and I can't give it to those guys for beating the Chiefs. Yes, they play great, and put up amazing numbers, but anyone can, and will, against KC. In two weeks, Kolb goes back to riding the pine, and the Eagles return to the offense that carries them, and that rarely includes the big downfield plays that you saw from these two.

They needed to pound the Chiefs, and they did despite missing 6 starters on offense. Without Jackson's catch or Kolb's performance the Eagles wouldn't have a good note to head into the bye week on, and momentum was desperately needed.

Ok does Sage or Tavaris make that play? No. Would they have had the confidence to even throw that pass? Hell even had the ability? I don't believe so. The 49ers played a hell of a game and the defense played strong. MVP is not about stats, at least it shouldn't be. Its about making plays that win games. Farve took hit after hit yet still was able to make that pass. MVP in my book.

Tavaris and Sage wouldn't have had the game play out exactly how it did for Brett, so it's irrelevant to hypothetically throw them into that position. He heaved a ball into the endzone, and had a great catch on the other end to win the game. Yeah, give Favre credit, but keep it in perspective.

Rosenfels can make the throw. He has some agility, and who knows if he would've avoided the sack. Jackson definitely would have avoided the sack, but instead of making the throw, might have went for it with his legs. Again, who knows how that would have turned out.

I know MVPs aren't decided on stats, but I find it hard to argue a single drive by Favre against an entire game like Peyton.

Peyton's defense also pressured the shit out of Arizona. Warner looked lost and had to stick with dinky short passes that were going nowhere due to the pressure the Colts put on Warner just six days after they were gassed out on the field for 45 minutes in the Miami heat. Peyton had a great game but the defense won the Colts the game. On the other hand Peterson had a subpar game for being himself just 85 yards rushing against a good 49er run defense. He was getting hit all game and kept getting up. He's in his forties and never even had the rotator cuff surgery in the offseason and he is still slinging it for 300 yards and 2 td's. They asked Favre to win the game this time and he did so on the day where he was honored for making more consecutive starts than anyone in NFL history. Jim Marshall our DE from the 70's SB teams held the record previously. Favre is the man and deserves the Week 3 MVP more than Peyton Manning. Oh and you can't say im biased because I was born and raised in Indiana and am a huge Peyton Manning fan.

I understand both points but without Farve they aren't in a position to win period. They both don't have the abilities of Farve. Could they take hits and have the confidence to continue? Maybe maybe not. I lean towards no. And the 49ers defense was on for 58 minutes. They halted the run pretty good and pressure the QB. I find it hard to see them winning without Farve. Yes he threw it in the endzone but Farve made that happen. I'm not saying that he's the best QB in the league now or anything like that. But he wasn't terrible and made an incredible play which to me deserves the MVP for the week. Peyton was playing the Cardinals which are not the in the top 15 defenses.

Tennessee lost all three of their games by a td or less. Young isn't a neccessity right now to get the offense going in fact if they switch quarterbacks it could do more harm than good. They play different styles and switching offenses mid week could be detrimental to building any momentum. See if they're still struggling by the time their bye rolls around and then if the switch must be made Young and company will have two eeks instead of one to get some chemistry going again.

Leinart won't be coming in unless Warner gets hurt. The problem isn't the QB its the O-Line. They're letting everyone through to Warner. Kurt took them to the Super Bowl last year and they re-signed him in the offseason. Leinart isn't ready and they know that. One or two more years and we will see Matt Leinart back as a starter hopefully.

I agree with you. I too have no emotional attachment to either team. I'm a Redskins fan. And yes I know they lost to the Lions. Another low point. Anyways before I get anymore depressed Farve was asked to win and he did. He may not do that ever again. But he did this week so he deserves this moment.

Don't blame Jason Campbell he has had 9 different offensive coordinators since High School how is he gonna learn the offense if he keeps having his coaches switched on him. Jim Zorn is not ready to be an NFL head coach he never even had experience as an O-Coordinator before this year he was the Seahawks QB coach. He isn't ready fire Zorn hire a coach for the long term that will build a system that makes Campbell comfortable and gives them a chance to win and hope for the best. Thats all the Redskins can do.

Im a Vikings fan which is why I said id be accused of being biased but being from Indiana too I can't be accused of that. Yes you lost to the Lions but at least your not as bad as the Browns.

What a damn shame. I am a Dolphin fan, and it is a shame to see Chad go out like this.He is a great guy and this to me seems like then end of the road for him as his contract is up and this should lead to his 3rd surgery on his shoulder. I know the Dolphins are 0-3 but they couldve ended up 8-8, 9-7 but without him they are a 6-10 team at the best.

Your thoughts?

Without Pennington, they're a 4-12 or 5-11 team. White can be a solid QB, but it kills any chance of them effectively using the Wildcat. He's also a year or two away from being a possible starter. Henne wasn't as bad as I thought he'd be, but he's essentially a rookie stepping in to an offense that isn't his. It's built for Pennington to be successful. I'm sure they'll win some games down the line, but things will get a whole lot worse before they get any better.

Maybe they pick Garcia up, once he's done in Philly?

Yeah, this has to simply be the most shocking news in NFL history

Honestly, who didn't expect this? Chad can barely get out of his own front door without injuring himself, it was only a matter of time before he injured himself again. Rarely have I seen a player so injury prone, and it sucks especially considering when he's actually playing, he's a damn good game manager and QB, and the perfect leader for the Miami franchise. I watched that game though, and the fall he took...it really didn't look that bad, at all. Guess even the soft falls can mess you up sometimes though.

Sucks for Miami, but it's good news for me personally. I'm a Pats fan, so the more Miami struggles, the better it is for me.

You may not like Chad as a player because of the teams he has played for, but for a man to be so injury prone you got to feel bad for him. Chad is a great guy, and is career may be over from this as Miami will now move on with Henne from here on out. Chad didnt deserve to go out this way and I hope the Dolphins resign him even in a backup role next year.

Oh don't get me wrong, I really, really like Chad, and always have. Which is no small feat considering he went from my most hated team (The Jets) to my second most hated team (The Dolphins), but you can't help but love the guy. He's always struck me as a class act who got dealt a shitty hand with his injuries, and if he could have stayed healthy, he could have really gone far. I don't wish any personal harm on him, but him not being the starting QB for Miami is good news for me as a Pats fan.

I'm sure this won't be the end of the line for Chad, unless the injury makes him physically uncapable of playing football any longer. No doubt some team will snatch him up next year, probably after training camp when we've seen if he can still play or not.
