RIP Sgt. Michael Paranzino / RIP CM
Give your congratulations to Lord Sidious here. Agree with his opinions or not, he deserves it.

Congrats bud. Welcome aboard.

Buh-bye NoFate...Mr. "I don't need no forums no more!"

Seriously...Where'd he go?! :lmao:

NoFate is still a highly respected member of this forum, and he's left us on very good terms. We just felt that Sidious could do more with the position. NoFate is still a highly valued member of this board. His schedule limited his time able to come on for the last few months, so we felt it was time to give someone else an opportunity.

I know he was busy with the main page and all, but he pretty much vanished at that point...

He made a good post last night in TNA, so maybe he's making a comeback.

Alright.. I'll say it. I guess someone needs to...

Are we sure it's a good idea to promote someone to moderator of a forum devoted to a product they've consistently and incessantly stated their hatred for since pretty much day 1? And not just the product but, recently, the fans of that product as well?

I'm not trying to start a fight or anything and I have no intention of arguing about it, but doesn't that reflect badly on the forums as a whole? I'm not saying only card-carrying WWE marks should mod the forum, but surely there's a middle ground.

Sorry Dexter, but it really doesn't matter what you or other regular members think of this promotion. It's irrelevant. Not that I or others don't value your opinion, we do. But we wouldn't have picked Sidious if we didn't think he would do a good job.

And for the ten millionth time, because apparently I'm the only one that actually reads Sid's posts, he does not hate WWE fans. He dislikes those who care more about what Vince wants than what they personally want. There's a large, large difference.

Why would one of the best posters on the forum being a mod reflect poorly on us? Sidious is constantly starting threads and driving discussion in that section. He deserves it.

No offense Dexter, but keep your comments about this promotion to yourself. We don't need your approval.

He might be very negative towards WWE, but the fact is, he's a damn good poster and that's really the only selection criteria we have. Views are irrelevant, it's just the way people put them across, and he does it well.

So...Why is there a thread making the announcement? I thought this would be the place to say something...

This promotion does not personally affect me. NoFate going back to regular posting is all I hope for now that he isn't a mod.

To congratulate him on a well deserved modship.

Ahh.

If people have any reservations on how we run things, feel free to say it. We can't guarantee we'll necessarily act on your concerns, but we will take them into consideration.

Although if it's about one member in particular it may be a wise move to do it in private.

Absolutely he's a good poster as far as being articulate, actually knowing how to use punctuation and paragraph structure, etc. But you guys need to keep in mind that the attitude and views of your staff reflect on your forums as a whole. That's the last thing I'll say on the subject.

I have no problems with how things are run. My problem was saying that we're not allowed to say we don't like the move. I personally don't have an opinion on who's mod there, since I'm not in the section enough.

Agreed.

As the forums on a whole are about 50/50 Pro-WWE/Against WWE, do you not think that it would be a good idea for the make up of the staff to reflect this? Y'know, to reflect the forums as a whole?

No. Definitely not. The last thing we need is a democracy...

EDIT: I didn't mean that as smart-assy as it sounded. I was serious.

Guys, I'm sure if the admins and other mods weren't confident that Sid would do a good job then they (admins) wouldn't have made him mod. If he does a terrible job, which I don't think he will, then they'll simply remove him from the staff.
