New Health Care Bill Passed and Other Political Chatter

Global warming definitely exists Shocky, it's just a debate about man's contributions to the problem and how badly it will effect us. I know both you and myself are a part of the sensible crowd that realizes the world isn't going to explode into flames in 10 years after all the polar bears drown in the ice caps.

I won't argue that Obama and his reelection in 2012. No doubt he wins that. The Republicans have zero personal capable of defeating him. I say in 2010 they begin to take more seats in Congress. The Republicans are a mess right now with no true leadership at this point. Teh foundation for the New party is being laid now, but it'll be at least a 10 year process. Bobby Jindal does nothing for me.

Right you are. People don't understand that Global Warming is a natural occurance and all of that jazz. There have been how many Ice Ages? These things are cyclical. Human influence is miniscule at best. The world is going to warm up, animals are going to go extinct, shit happens. Yes I like Polar Bears, but there have been plenty other wonderful species to go bye bye throughout existance.

But none of those animals sold us soda pop Shocky!

I am highly confident that Mike Huckabee is going to be the Republican candidate in 2012. Those were my thoughts a couple months ago, and I just read a poll the other day that says that 7 in 10 Republican voters would support Huckabee for president at this time. That was higher than Sarah Palin, Mitt Romney, or any other contender.

There is a lot of turmoil in the Right at the moment about which direction to take the Party in. The Religious Right is having it out with the Not-as-Religious or Non-Religious Fiscal, Pro Business Conservatives.

And the Religious Right will probably win that in-house battle with Huckabee (as opposed to their other Christian Candidate, Sarah Palin ... as he will ultimately be perceived as more qualified and capable) .... but will ultimately lose the War in the 2012 election. Which will lead many of the Christian Right to undoubtedly question where they went wrong and "what the Hell is happening to their country" in so far as "moving away from their Christian views".

It all depends though Sid. I brought up Cyclical earlier, right now we are in a "free spirited" liberal type of life in America. I think the return to basics or back to morals approach will become cool again, and the Christian Right will seize that opportunity to put someone back in the white house.

Obama still has another three years to do nothing, so, I say it's still up in the air right now. Also, he'll definitely be losing some swing states in 2012...he may keep Florida, but I don't think he'll be keeping Virginia or Ohio.

Also, I think it's ridiculous that this healthcare bill wants to cut Medicare spending. 7% of my paycheck already goes to that shit and social security, so I'll be extremely pissed if someone doesn't pay for my healthcare as a senior citizen, as I'm already footing the bill for some old person's ass.

I blame the baby boomers for all of this countries problems myself. They are the greedy bastards taht want all of our money, and want us to pay for their ass to be whiped.

Those damn baby boomers. They need to hurry up and die before they use up all the social security.

Our generation is so fucked right now. We are out numbered and all of the old farts are just going to vote things that benefit themselves.

Using our social security, preventing gay people from marrying, stopping us from having good health care...

Curse you, old people!

I would argue that. I would say at this point Obama has less than a 60% chance to win again. The Republicans will gain seats next year and as long as they don't let Palin get the nod they have a good chance of winning in 2012. Hell, if McCain hadn't picked Palin and that financial thing never happened or came to light later we be calling him President.

Now that's just ridiculous DIAR, Obama won last year in practically a landslide.

Less than 60% chance? Where are you pulling these numbers from?

You have, this generation has fucked america up beyond repair and continues to do so. Thats a very impressive accomplishment.

Really? I didn't realize all of these wars and our economy is fucked because of the 20 year olds right now.

This is quite true. The generation that has to deal with the problems that the current one in power has caused very well might not have even been allowed to vote when those rulings were made. I wasn't.

Didn't you know, X? We're feeding the baby boomers 1Ups so that they live for a really long time and drain social security while voting down laws that would help America!

Also, we stepped on a butterfly or something and that started the wars.
