You don't want it with me.
I don't know what you're laughing about. Next week in CLDL may be national healthcare week. I think I can come up with six NHC topics.

I agree with this the most part, but from what I have seen some conservatives didn't like McCain because he is seen as a tad liberal by a them. I don't think he had that vote locked up, hell some popular ones said they would vote for Hilary over him.I was a big fan of McCain a number of years back, and still am a fan of his today. He typically sticks to his ideals and will cross party lines to get the job done.
However, what disappointed me with McCain in the presidential election, was it seemed to me like he threw away what made him popular and a good Senator in the first place by falling back into the same old political campaign bullshit of smearing the opposition and taking basically every stance possible to gain the Conservative vote. Very bad strategy and it turned me away from voting for him. He basically had the Conservative vote already there was no need to completely fall into that pool and completely bash all liberals. But that's just my opinion, I'm not sure he would have been able to overtake Obamamania either way.

Piss poor doesn't even begin to cover it. Watching that election it was obvious how hard McCain was trying to be conservative and that killed any chance he had to get enough moderates to win. Of course some voted for him, but with the way he was acting and Palin made his ticket seem way to right wing for most. If he went too far left he would anger conservatives, but I thought Palin was supposed to please them so he could go to the center, baffles me why he didn't do it and chose to get embrassed by Obama for over 2 months. In hind sight I would have voted third party. Maybe the Libertarian party, thats who I voted for in CA Gov race.True but a majority of the conservatives would vote for him, so why not make a play for the moderates on both sides? Obama had a clear cut majority of liberals, and McCain had the conservatives. But what made the difference was the moderates, and McCain did a piss poor job plying for their vote.
