Picks in BOLD

TEXAS A&M to cover the spread. I don't know what to think of the Aggies after their loss against Oklahoma State at home, but Arkansas got spanked by Bama and really looks like the 5th best team (at most) in the SEC. If the Aggies don't win this one, I won't be able to take them as a threat in any big game this year.

BAYLOR to cover. Both teams are 3-0, but a man as dynamic as RGIII is gonna lead the Bears to at least a win by a TD. We don't know much of KSU, as well, so this is probably my safest bet.

CLEMSON to beat the spread. VT has fed off of weak teams through their first 4 games, while Clemson has recorded back to back impressive victories against Auburn and Florida State, although those were both in Death Valley. Tajh Boyd is becoming a dynamic playmaker and I just need to see something out of VT first.

ALABAMA to cover. I've said this time and time again, I think Alabama is the best team in the SEC, and 3.5 points, even in Gainesville, is quite generous. This Florida has started off well in the Muschamp era, but this defense is great and will shut down the Gators for the most part.

WISCONSIN to cover. 9.5 is a lot of points for teams ranked 1 spot apart, but this is at Camp Randall, Russell Wilson has been great so far, and Nebraska's defense has been extremely suspect, and Martinez is questionable throwing. UW has a great running game, and the pieces add up to a Badgers victory.

Predictions in Bold

OKLAHOMA to cover. Dynamic offense, think Texas is a tad overrated. Should be quite the showing by Landry Jones and Ryan Broyles at the Texas State Fair.

LSU to cover. Florida is without John Brantley and got spanked by Alabama at home. If you don't think LSU won't wanna top the winning margin then I think you're crazy. They want some bragging rights going into the big showdown (even though its a few weeks away).

IOWA to beat the spread. I'm assuming PSU is the favorite because they're at home, because they haven't figured out a QB situation the past two years and have snuck by their last two games against Temple and Indiana, who aren't exactly the cream of the crop. Iowa I think is improved, despite their heartbreaking loss against Iowa State week 2, they should win this game.

PITTSBURGH to cover, because I don't think Rutgers is all that great. Pitts D has woken up these past few games against decent teams - ND and USF.

ARKANSAS to cover. Arkansas is a tough team to gauge, for sure. They got taken to the woodshed by Bama 2 weeks ago then followed that up with an impressive comeback win against Texas A&M on a neutral field. I think Alabama is in a league of their own (along with LSU, OU, UW, and Boise) and Arkansas can show they're still a top 15 team. Auburn has exceeded my expectations as well, but at home makes me think Arkansas can win by a decent margin.

Eh looks like no one is responding, but I'll play along. I have no clue what the score is right now of any of these games.

*Saturday, October 8 - #3 Oklahoma (-10.5) vs. #11 Texas - 12:00 PM ABC spread but not game
Saturday, October 8 - #17 Florida @ #1 LSU (-13.5) - 3:30 PM CBS
Saturday, October 8 - Iowa @ Penn State (-3.5) - 3:30 PM ABC/ESPN
Saturday, October 8 - Pittsburgh (-7) @ Rutgers - 3:30 PM ESPNU
Saturday, October 8 - #15 Auburn @ #10 Arkansas (-10) - 7:00 PM ESPN

All upsets baby, well at least spread.
