NCAA First Round LD

Damn the Midwest region is killing me right now. I got 2 wrong out of there and another one automatically wrong since WV dropped out. Hit perfect on the West region though so that makes up for it I guess.

Well, Utah has battled back. I hope they can pull this off. I can't stand Arizona. I liked them back in '97, but haven't been able to stand them ever since.

so much for the small school argument.

so far only 4 have advanced to the 2nd round, and only two of those beat a team from a big conference. Small Schools will get in when they can hang with the big boys, and a team like Xavier is pretty much the only one that can because of the way they schedule.

Yeah, but many of the "good" small schools don't get in, so it's really an unfair argument. I mean, who has a better chance of doing well in the tournament, East Tennesse State or Saint Mary's with their stud back?

So, it's really an unfair statement to say that. When there are 30+ at large bids, and smaller schools only get 4 of them, the chances of them doing well are much lower.

Plus this wasn't a very good year for smaller schools. Hell, it wasn't a very good year for bigger schools. Down year overall in college basketball.

So, I'm watching the Sienna vs. Ohio St. game, and the one thing that keeps going through my mind...

How in the fuck did Ohio State get a home game for the first two rounds of the tournament? They're a 8 seed, they shouldn't get preferential home court advantage. Bullshit.

I did much worse today, than I did yesterday. I lost yesterday with Clemson, and lost today with Utah, West Virginia, and Temple.

I still have Ohio St., Wake Forest, Michigan St., and Florida St. for the games still going.

Wake is getting me nervous. I had them beating Utah in the next round...

I wish they were showing the Wake game instead of the Wisc/Fla St game, even though its a great game so far

Just like Nova has in their next game

but Nova is 50 times better than osu so they deserve it more
I was about to say, at least Nova is a 3 seed. While I'm not sure I agree with it then, it makes more sense that way. Ohio State is an 8 seed. If they win tonight, they'll play THE overall number 1 seed in what will basically be a home game.

That's so unfair.

Use Internet Explorer, and go to ncaa.com. They're streaming all the games for free. If you have a good internet connection, you can even get it in really good quality.

Not only does Ohio State get the fan support, they're also getting the ref support now. I'd be so pissed if I was Sienna coach.

Good Lord, that was SO a jump ball. Why bother playing this game, if the deck is just going to be stacked against Sienna?

Now an Ohio State defender rides the Sienna player out of bounds...no call.

Ohio State loses the ball into Sienna's hands...right as the referee whistles that OSU called timeout. I swear this is one-sided officiating. And I don't even give a fuck about Sienna.
