NBA 2K17 hype thread

Ronnie2k, either you're a lying bastard or you have no fucking clue in regards to Sony's policies. You may have launched the demo but Sony doesn't put it in their system till 9am PACIFIC TIME. Either that or I'm fucking stupid and I can't find it. Edit: Fucking Sony. Microsoft has it up.

This went exactly as expected. Wasnt up at the start of the day due to timezones and thanks to my PS4 downloading like a motherfucker its still not downloaded

So I pumped through that. Willing to be drafted anywhere but the 76ers. Would like to go to Boston though.

9 points, 4 rebounds, 3 assists and 1 steal for the game 1.
14 points, 1 rebound, 6 assists and 3 steals for game 2.
6 points, 2 rebounds, 1 assist and 0 steal for the game 3.
10 points, 2 rebounds, 3 assists and 0 steal for the championship game.
10 points, 5 rebounds, 2 assists and 1 steal for the international game.

All wins of course. Duh.

I got it installed and created my player. I had seven dollars and some change on my Microsoft account, so I bought some VC to up my stats a bit.

Did this boost your draft stock or not? I'm curious because last year i averaged about 20+points, 7 assists and around 5 rebounds in the college year but still didnt see my draft stock rise that much

What's wrong with buying vc?
Ignoring for a moment the smaller issue of essentially cheating to get ahead in the game, people who purchase virtual currency incentivize video game companies to structure their game in such a way where they can make money off of these types of transactions. In other words, they start your stats a little lower or they make it a little harder to level up, because they want you to purchase the ability to get good faster, as opposed to just letting it be part of the game.

There's a reason why in-app/in-game purchases are a popular way to siphon even more money from users who have already invested in a product and it's not because of people like me.

It went from mid round pick to lottery pick. Other than that it stays the same.

Not saying that you don't have a point. Hell, I even agree with you, but do you know how long it takes to get to competitive levels with out VC? It means playing blacktop games online is virtually out of the question.

I always make one $20 purchase of 75,000 VC. Takes your character to the low 80s really fast. You can compete with that.

Only because people are buying their way into being good...it all has an effect.

Sly is right. Initially people complained about micro transactions (there's still alot that do) but if you are going to win any battle with a large company you are going to need everyone on board. You dont get it because you have people that dont care about anyone else and buy VC

I personally like the feeling of building my player up through playing games. That's just me though.

I'm going to play this prelude thing though. I love the idea of being able to play for Illinois.

I just finished the Prelude. Lottery pick. I always play as a PF, so if I get drafted to Philly, I will riot. They don't need to draft a big man for like the fifth pick in a row.

The PF is the one position I think I have never played as a character. Why the PF?
