I still think Redsox in 6. They are 6-0 in Game 6's in franchise history and after this series that goes to 7-0

As both a Cardinals fan and a Red Sox hater I'm really hoping the Cardinals win.
Hahahahahahahahaha. Boy I needed that ending to make my night.
Now was it the right call? Tough to say. Craig might sneak in had he not tripped (he is still coming off a leg injury) but I don't think Middlebrooks intentionally tried to trip him.
I just saw it on SportsCenter and I think it was the right call too.
Here's the thing: it changed the way the game ended. It wasn't an instance of the umpire citing some obscure rule that doesn't mean anything with the play. The trip, intentional or not, happened and prevented a run from scoring. By rule, the runner is awarded home plate. Not much controversy there.
The real thing going forward, though, is how badly did Craig re-injure himself on that play?
It's not really that big of a deal. He already was not in the lineup, so the only thing the Cardinals lost was a DH and PH.
It was a great rip, no doubt about it. But let's not kid ourselves, Craig's contribution to the game was one swing. It was obviously a great one, but his contribution was one swing. He was the whole reason the Cards were in that situation. Uehara was almost unhittable this year and Craig hits a double off of him. 6 of the 9 guys in the lineup at the point would've had a realistic chance of scoring on that, but Yadi isn't one of them.
I think more so they're saying its a feel good story because of the marathon bombings earlier this year.
