Miz on Team WWE at Summerslam? A Backstabbing in the Making?

So as you all just witnessed, Bret Hart and John Cena was approached the Miz. We were wondering what was going to happen with the Miz since there is no match for him at Summerslam and he's being build up and pushed to the moon. So what if Miz joins team wwe and back stabs WWE and its revealed he is aligned with Nexus all along? All week long its been said that a big angle would be executed on RAW. Nothing special happened beside the Miz meeting with Bret and Cena so it gets you thinking. Nexus will definitely be around after Summerslam as they are slated for appearances up till November. So what's your thoughts on this new development. Is Miz joining Team WWE to help or backstab them? I dont he wont join since he needs to do something at Summerslam.

i'm just calling it now... miz won't turn but edge and jericho will be a plan and nexus will treat them nice and edge and jericho will turn on nexus... count it...

Miz doesn't make sense to backstab the wwe...

It appears that Khali is out of the team, so Miz might be the 7th member. Or maybe they're just teasing Miz as the 7th member to surprise us with someone else.

Well, if *that* was supposed to be the "big angle" this week, then WWE creative has offically gone to hell.

I doubt Miz will join the Nexus or team WWE. He's being pushed hardcore right now, and joining a "team", whether it's as a face or a heel, would take focus off of him as an individual. He might help team WWE, or he might screw them over. Either way, it's just another way of WWE using the big boys to further the Miz's push. I doubt anything major will come of it.

Well, here's hoping it's a surprise and a good one too and i hope that angle wasnt what they showed today because i seen that coming since 3 weeks ago, but here's hoping that a surprise 7th member will come out and hopefully it's a re-hired Daniel Bryan and hopefully, WWE keeps the Bryan signing quiet so this can happen and the surprise can actually work, honestly, if WWE surprised the world with re-hiring Bryan and he was the 7th member and Team WWE pulled out the win, how shocked would the world be??

WWE should make use of the Miz by having him actually defend his title. If he joins the team it really isn't that big of a deal. I don't think he is with Nexus, but if he does join it could tie into a Danielson return because of the problems he had and because he was "kicked out of" Nexus. Truth be told, if he does become a part of Nexus that would give him the US title, Money in the Bank, and a part in a huge storyline. Spread the wealth.

7th member will be Bourne has all the reason to join people get away from bryan he spit in Cena face and i sure as hell think cena would prefer bourne over a guy went 0-10

Look, you guys just give too much credit to news reports. You're starting to blame the creative team for not delivering an angle they never said they would deliver. Maybe that even made you enjoy RAW less. It doesn't mean they really had anything big planned and it failed and it doesn't mean that the BIG ANGLE was something minor like the Miz\Cena\Hart segment. Maybe there never was a big angle to begin with.

This is not like when Dixie Carter promotes a surprise and then nothing happens.

It's too obvious if he does indeed betray them at Summerslam. It's what we'd expect him to do, and would fit his (on air) attitude/personality. I think WWE dropped the ball a bit tonight by not having Miz make his decision and run down to the ring and join he fight. It could have added more to his character, and gotten him even more over. Then whatver happens at Summerslam he can use that to claim HE was the true hero...Or that betraying WWE was his plan all along. That can still happen either way, but much as i dislike him i would have loved to see him run out and join the fight.

Im still thinking Triple H... dont know why, and im sure ive read things all over the internet saying he's injured and out for months yet.

Maybe its all just a big ruse, like Cena returning at the Rumble a couple of years ago... we all thought he was months away from a return... WWE proved then that they can keep things under wraps, plus lie a bit, so im sure they could do it again.

Can just picture it now... early on in SummerSlam... Cena goes and asks Miz to answer him, and let him know now... to which he replies "No way, my focus tonight is cashing in Money in the Bank on the winner of the Orton/Sheamus match, and winning his first WWE Championship... why would I need to be on a team, because Im The Miz...and im AWESOME!"

Some sort of thing happens then, either a phone call (cringeworthy I know) or one of the other members of the team come up to Cena and say something like "You wont believe who's just arrived, he'd be perfect for the team" or something... building up the suspense, and hype even more... the big main event starts, and starts 6 on 7... and gradually the numbers drop for WWE (JoMo and Truth, possibly Hart) going early, leaving it 3 on 7... Triple H's music hits, and he comes down to an incredible reaction, Pedigree's Slater, Young, Sheffield and eliminates them... the rest all come in the ring, and a massive brawl happens, where eliminations happen left right and centre till its just Cena, Triple H and Jericho vs Barrett, Tarver and Gabriel... Jericho or Triple H then turn, and Nexus pick up the win.

Summerslam is going to be interesting nonetheless. WWE usually delivers when they say a surprise is going to happen and no one knows whats going to happen with the nexus match except that we all expect WWE to lose, but how will they lose and will it be shocking. Even if it's something we expected to see but didnt think they would do it, it makes it interesting. Miz nonetheless will play a role in the match. he's getting the rocket ship push and I will be laughing if WWE wins because Miz comes out after Nexus thought they won and he wins for WWE.

And yeah, the Dixie Carter surprise always makes me laugh. Surprise! Let's see what the E does this sunday.

the miz is an ok choice but with his current push i don't see it going down like that. my two choices for the 7th member are:

triple h - which is the least likely because his injury but if he did i can see him turning on team wwe.

my favourite choice is the rock - if he promised something big than this is it. and if cena turns this will turn into the rock vs cena going down in the near future hopefully wrestlemania.

I feel like they teased Miz joining in order to reveal a big name for the seventh member. If Miz had come out right then and there at the end of RAW, I would say it was a lock he was on the team, but I think the teasing is just a way of diverting our attention until the REAL seventh member is revealed.

I have no idea who the seventh member could be. Triple H is out with a big injury. The Undertaker is probably not going to be it, since he's on Smackdown (though they are advertising a Taker appearance...), and there's no chance in hell it is The Rock.

Wait...No chance in Hell...Vinnie Mac? He has had problems with Nexus before, and as they say: Anything's possible in the WWE.

I don't think he'll join team raw simply because he'll put all his focus on sheamus and orton , I think it might be Evan bourne or someone else ..

ppl need to stop with the rock stuff.....rock even said he currently has NO interest in coming back while wwe is pg. he doesnt want to ruin his character. "the rock" was not meant for pg and it would destroy his character if he came back under the rating...the rock said this himself....so unless wwe changes its rating anytime soon i HIGHLY doubt this....

odds are it will be someone from smackdown they "recruited"

No he probably won't even join the team. The last spots a surprise so you buy it. I had to reset my password because im tired of idiots like you being so ignorant. What part of Bryan Danielson has a 90 no-compete clause do you not understand?? Just because he didn't get busted for drugs doesn't mean hes exempt from the rule. Remember Knox, Dreamer, Benjamin, and Mickey got it too? So stop with the Daniel Bryan return rumors cause it ain't gonna happen.

Vince McMahon AND bret hart on the same team? I don't think having two old men past the age of 50 would make team wwe seem credible.

Absolutely, I agree 100% The Rock is WAY beyond PG, he's using his time for more mature efforts like "The Gameplan", "Escape to Witch Mountain", and "The Tooth Fairy."

PS- If you noticed a bit of sarcasm there, it's cause I was laying it on pretty thick

Why could it not be Daniel Bryan? Wouldn't it be one hell of a work if the whole thing was scripted, including him being back in the indy's. Listen I know its not likely but it could still be possible. I can honestly say though that I have no clue who the 7th member is going to be. I could see The Miz, but it would have definitely made more sense if he would have just came out tonight. Daniel Bryan makes perfect sense, except for the 90-day problem which eliminates him. Triple H is a possibility, even though we have been told that he still won't be returning for awhile. A face makes sense because even with Orton's face turn they are still missing a big-time face. If Orton wins at SummerSlam and begins a feud with Miz, then who does Sheamus feud with next? The Rock and Austin I'd say both are very doubtful. It's not completely out of the realm of possibility because I mean it wouldn't really take a lot to run in and hit a finisher for a pin. At the same time I think the GM position is also not out of the question for either just because of the little time involved and the potential for a persona change again for The Rock now that he seems to be going away from kid's movies at least at the moment.

I think it will be something fairly big, they have just hinted at so many things during the last several weeks that it has to be taking our attention away from the true plan. They have hinted at the Cena heel turn which I think was squashed tonight with him being attacked during the match. I even thought Bret Hart might turn but once again he was involved in an attack on a nexus member. Its kind of fun to not know this one though and I truly hope it doesn't leak between now and Sunday.

In a way this kinda reminds me of when John Cena was approached by team Lesnar on joining their team and he turned it down to join team angle and it's what turned him face. Maybe this could be the stage of turning Miz into a face like what they did with Cena and save the day at Summerslam

How did this go from the Miz joining team WWE/Nexus to The Rock returning? Focus people. The Rock isn't coming back anytime soon, if ever, so get it out of your mind. The best we could hope for is a RAW guest host apperance.

Back on topic: After thinking about it for a min, I don't think Miz joining either team would be so horrible after all. He joins team WWE, betrays them resulting in the Nexus winning, further pushing him as a heel. Alternatively, he joins Nexus and betrays them, turning him face and getting him over with the fans. I doubt the latter will happen, because Miz is just too damn good as a heel, but with the WWE you never know.

Regardless of what they do with the Miz, whether it be joining a team or cashing in his money in the bank contract on Sheamus/Randy Orton, I think SummerSlam will be a huge night for the Miz.

So stop with the Daniel Bryan return rumors cause it ain't gonna happen
JUST because i suggested it, does NOT mean i THINK it would happen. i know for SURE it wont happen, but it's an idea i think WWE SCREWED up on. Firing Bryan was STUPID and i hope WWE pays for it by Bryan going to TNA and doing great there.
Maybe that even made you enjoy RAW less
nah, RAW was decent, but still predictable, like many people likely thought.

I dont get it I only hear there was supposed to be a big or major surprise from my fellow fans...not the WWE or the industry...everyone I asked couldnt quote me a bonafide source...best the could do is quote Dwayne Johnson from in the winter time when talking about possibly doing something with WWE by summers end. I hate when people that theories as fact

People need to come to grips with this whole Daniel Bryan thing. He's not coming back for a few months, he's booked to do some indy shows. He'll be back, just not Sunday. This show ended with some intriguing questions...but think about this...Miz is most likely cashing in the contract this weekend, and therefore the Sheamus/Orton match and Mysterio/Kane (notice Miz's new shirt? it's blue and white...Smackdown's colors) match will most likely be before the Nexus/WWE match. So if this is the case, Miz won't be around for the match. Say he doesn't cash in....regardless I think they're setting us up for a huge surprise here...If Miz was the 7th guy, they would have simply had him say yes to joining on Raw. I agree with most people here on Triple H. He's a huge candidate in my book to turn heel with this whole angle, and perhaps reveal himself as the GM. He could reveal himself as the 7th WWE guy, and not even wrestle if he's still hurt. If he's still banged up, he can take over as the leadership role for Nexus and not lace up the boots for the next few months, kind of being their spokesperson on the mic. I also think Brett could turn heel and shock the world by joining Nexus as their leader. Why else is he involved in this match? Think about it....he's coming out of nowhere to be apart of this team...when they simply could have booked another wrestler in his place. This is the first time in a while where we can actually be excited for some surprises at a pay per view. I've been a fan for almost 20 years and the product for the last 6 years has been sub-par at best. Things are finally getting good again storyline-wise, and a lot of new faces are getting pushed. Can't wait for Sunday.

Mistake on their part? You don't even know what happened huh. Someone endorsement company bitched about Danielson choking roberts so Vince didn't want to do it but he had no choice. Danielson will return to the E, but only after the no-compete clause expires.
